The problem is who do we bring in? Adam would be a good first reserve when the averages change (replacing Dany) but who would you sign to replace him as our 3rd heat leader? I don't think Tungate is the answer though.

Get well soon BWD! Given his average, it doesn't give us many options but looks like our guest will be busy! -
Men versus boys - a big home win

A shocking meeting from Swindon. The Stars looked the better team throughout and with the exception of Doyley (who was imperious) and Morra (who improved as the meeting went on and he sprung to life in heats 13 and 15). Of the others, BWD tried hard and should have got more points, Ellis was woeful (except in his last when he managed a second), Bellego was OK but no match for the Stars heat leaders), Dany will take a few meetings to improve and Zach looked OK. Oufside of the 3 HL who were good for their points, Huckenbeck starred for the Stars easily racking up the points. Felt sorry for Bailey who was out of his depth all night. That Swindon team will not get into the playoffs as there were very few heat advantages and the only one to win a heat was Doyley!! Woeful!

Exactly - he doesn't do bugger all for British speedway. You said it! In case you haven't worked it out - it's a double negative!

Interestingly the ReadyPower owner "owned" the Peterborough assets when he teamed up with Poole! -
Well said !!

Looking like Wolves are the team to beat with the team they now have. If they steer clear of injuries, it could be back to back titles for them.

You can have an opinion but the fact is he is BRITISH whether you agree/like it or not!

I saw the picture on FB or Twitter - more like a puddle than waterlogged!! Probably scared off by the weather forecast!

World Champion once (in the old one night format). How does that compare with a 2 times world champion in the SGP era?
-
Sad to read of the passing of Bob Radford on the Swindon website. RIP
-
Having been born here, he would have had the option of dual nationality and to represent GB but he rightly chose Australia. Tai on the other hand was born in Britain and his parents were British so that makes him British. From his time in Australia, he obviously has dual nationality and chose to ride for Britain - I bet he is regretting that decision!
-
Well documented? Can you show where he stated that once Rosco has gone he would be willing to return?
-
Not sure that would be thecase because of the ridiculous average he would have been saddled with this year - which you would expect would have been higher than Holder's and that was too high for building the Poole team.
-
It doesn't matter what you think - facts speak for themselves. How many 2-times+ British world champions can you name? Also bear in mind that in the modern era they aren't just one off meetings where you can have a good night and be crowned world champion, they are a collection of meetings around the world (Europe and Australia actually) to see who is the best over the season. So the facts disagree with your opinion. With regards to his selection or not - he did say he wouldn't do the British final or the SWC for whatever reasons. In this case (of the World Games) he was asked if he would be available (why they asked I don't know) and he said he would be and then he isn't selected. If you want to win, you need to select your best available riders and for whatever reason the BSPA haven't selected Tai. There are probably issues on both sides but Tai SHOULD be riding on merit!

Bad luck for KK - wishing him a speedy recovery. Makes it easier for Matt Ford now but can't see a new recognised #1 coming in

Probably best to know his average first. You can apply to have his average re-assessed but that doesn't necessarily mean it will go down! Can't see him being interested in the UK after the time he has been away. Also if doing Sweden, Poland and Denmark that would rule out him riding UK (Polish 3 league rule). I think the Newman/Kerr combination is a better solution - if Andersen can step up and be a #1 again. That would give him a starting average of just over 12 (depending on what they are now going to do with riders doing 4H and 4A -
