  1. Last year, I heard a rumour very early on, that if Josh had had his testimonial then he would not be spending money on his bikes & 2021 would be his last year. If he has got his mojo back, again, then he needs to update his gear to keep up with the top guys & the improving ones which could give him a few more years in the sport. Has he got his head around those tyre issues as 1 win & 8 2nds from 13 rides was not a good performance at home to see but he can pick the brains off the other riders & management.
  2. If Tero could get a bit of away form back, as in 2019 he averaged over 6 similar to Josh. Home form, both could average around 9 so I would think it was about who we could fit in to the team at the initial declared stage, who go well at the EWR. Nice to have Zaine in for 2022 but I would not class him as a track specialist after a few visits with Sheffield & Leicester. Maybe a track he likes & is suited too.
  3. I echo those sentiments. Great team man, always willing to try & protect his partner even if he loses a place. A good average with scope to improve.
  4. Home track, short track experience, good gaters, room for improvement then look no further than Plymouth H Andersen E Kennett M Palm Toft B Barker A Bowtell D Gilkes H Atkins B Barker Newcastle no1 in 2021, Plymouth 2nd string in 2022
  5. Gladiators Heat Leader trio confirmed. - Plymouth Gladiators Speedway (plymouth-speedway.com) though Lawson was announced well before this!
  6. Similar to when Scunthorpe signed Jake Allen from Somerset a few months ago as I thought he would have been owned by the BSP Ltd.
  7. How are you going to fit them all in or are you changing the rules for gains(cough, cough). That is King, S Worrall, Lawson & Douglas. Someone is hoping too much.
  8. You have answered my point with your point, hence my changes. lol
  9. Probably helps in being a City where there are thousands of businesses, some very large, so to get sponsorship & air time is easier than a small town.
  10. It could also be a matter of riding order as, even though the announcement says he is no7, I would have him at 6 with ....... at no 7(strongest reserve) for the benefit of the team.
  11. Unless you get the SS early(pre 7am) through your letter box by News Team.
  12. With all the riders averages changing due to Eastbourne's demise, I would think all of the Eastbourne riders would be the same so Kennett & Newman would fall back to their 2019 average.
  13. If we have Lambo & Palin, or any other 2nd strings, their averages mean they will ride with a heat leader most times so it will be hard to up their average unless team riding allows them to score the bigger points. Lambo's high average gained while riding at no 2 with under-performing no1 in Auty, then Ellis who struggled to find best set ups & racing lines around the EWR. Palin's average gained mainly at reserve.
  14. I’m sure everyone must realise Rob Godfrey is the head honcho at the BSP Ltd they do, that is why they are bitter & twisted. but he doesn’t make the decision by himself unfortunately, they are thick & can not comprehend that concept. As for the Tv money for the 6 clubs in the top league it’s those promoters who refused to split the pot with another club. and Godfrey is not a promoter in the top league. Here's hoping 2022 is better for British Speedway True with better organisation on fixtures back to a season of racing between April & mid October, though, with having a blank week of racing every 4 or 5 weeks to be used as catch up for postponed meetings.
  15. I posted back in August/September that Tero & other riders were having visa problems given to me by a Private Message which I was not prepared to air on the forum. Ully was one of those riders but the injury he received did not highlight his problems as he was not travelling in & out of the country as regular. Posters, & many came on, implying that there had been a falling out between Rob & Tero, which was totally untrue & also implying that, if Tero read the forums, he should not ride for a team like us with fans having a go at his away scores, which even he admitted to, should have been better but, mainly, we can not judge effort & performance if not there. There are many smart arses out there with their smug comments which we have to put up with them as it is a public forum. It is easy to bypass these posters, though, as to stick them on ignore. Any "over the top" nastiness is normally dealt with by the moderators.
  16. I would not envisage either team racing on EVERY Wednesday. I would put money on both derby meetings being on a Wednesday.
  17. Tried to poach him from Newcastle just before the transfer deadline with a promise of machinery & a place in 2022. This was one of the reasons why Rob Grant walked away from Newcastle before changing his mind.
  18. Probably true having teams similar in Scunthorpe, Redcar & Sheffield. Only one to test him a bit was Birmingham.
  19. With the team I have heard probably slightly worse than last year. Home form should be excellent but away, dreadful. 3 riders average about 23.5 at the EWR BUT only about 12 away. Entertainment, as always, is key.
  20. Yes, Poland have a system where U21 Polish riders are reserves & stay there irrespective of their success. Smektala, Chugunov, Drabik & Miskowiak to name a few.
  21. Leicester have released Andersen, Douglas & Kennedy so will be keeping Morris, Howarth & the Thompson twins.
  22. Tai Woffinden's first race ended with him going through the wooden fencing at bend 1. What happened to him.
  23. http://www.speedwaygb.co.uk/july21 http://www.speedwaygb.co.uk/august21 From what I can see, there were plenty of meetings arranged during the school holidays & it was only due to our inexplicable summer weather of rain(actual or forecast) that caused the number of postponements.
