  1. I, also, heard whispers of our possible team for 2022 at our last home meeting & SD is not far off with his with a couple of herrings in to throw others off track. If it is true, then it is a team that should do well at home & trouble others away.
  2. Most teams will have riders in place for 2022 & though new averages have just come out, these are not final as they need amending to take in to account Eastbourne's withdrawal.( seen post on Plymouths thread & seen that lewy has heard rumours about his team. lol.
  3. Throw in "known but not announced" Ben Barker, Henry Atkins & Alfie Bowtell. That's 5.
  4. If he gets away with it then continue. C Cook been doing it for years, also.
  5. Some people "in the know" post things cryptic or non cryptic to say they know things but are not allowed to say. Other people "in the know" belittle people saying I know but are not supposed to say until it is all official. I guess we will all be "in the know" after the AGM probably around mid November(normally).

  7. Not long ago, I listened to David Howe on the Humans Of Speedway podcast. Long but interesting.
  8. I mentioned the straight forward exclusion some years ago as it would also stop teams bringing in a reserve for an under performing rider. I am not too sure as a tape exclusion, as of now, counts as a ride where as a 2 minute exclusion even if at the tapes but gardening/delaying the start, counts. A "frustrated ride" is mentioned but is a fickle rule to understand as are others. Regarding your last paragraph, whether this has occurred at other meetings, we had a rider excluded for 2 offences but was announced that a new rule this year means that they are wiped clean so if a rider has a 3rd offence it becomes his 1st again. Straight forward exclusion, as you say, eradicates all the nonsense at the starts & the rider & team suffer having only the 1 rider at the tapes. Nice and easy rule to enforce, simple & effective plus no waiting around for another rider meaning the meeting is not dragged out.
  9. Ask iainb. He seems to be the "know it all" on merchandise.
  10. By having 2 Rising Stars, you will be weakening the product but it will come down to how you grade this years Rising Stars of 1 or 2* rating who have had a good season (based on higher home form)but still 2 years racing experience & your points limit for the remaining 5 riders. At 32 points, you could still get strong teams having 3 x 7-8 pointers & 2 x 4 pointers.
  11. Not in Fridays preview http://www.leicesterspeedway.com/news.php?extend.31835.1
  12. Check your fixture list ..... http://www.leicesterspeedway.com/fixtures21 .... as during the Summer months of June, July & August you were not scheduled to ride at home on only TWO Saturdays , 17th July with the other being 5th June away at Berwick as they had priority of riding on similar nights.
  13. Redcar had to use a NL 3 pointer when Riss, a late signing, was already booked elsewhere.
  14. I seem to remember on other threads that this rule was brought in as Redcar had to use a NL 3 pointer for Riss who, after being re-declared into the team, had other commitments all ready booked in Germany. Poole & Glasgow have used this ruling this season & you frequent this forum on numerous occasions that you bust have read it. "Tunnel Vision" applies when it is something that you do not agree on.
  15. Ha, typical, your view is the correct view as, in the past, you would not bow down with the merchandising issue even after everything was broken down & put in front of you. Both websites seem to be explaining things a bit more clearly as this topic went into meltdown these last few days as most posters know the rules & think they are right & are referees, judge & jury.
  16. Wasn't Hans Andersen missing as we was signed mid season with other booked/prior meetings? Was Kennedy signed but then had to sign someone else as he would not be there in time? How long was it before it was said D Thompson missing with "mystery" illness? Was it not Poole that signed TWO riders who were not available but used the rules to their advantage with guests? Who said Ellis was ill? Adam? No His Dad? No The Scorpion website? No http://scunthorpe-speedway.com/?p=13714 Rob Godfrey? No Gail Godfrey(co-promoter)? No Scunthorpe Scorpion's Press Officer? No Leicester's website preview? No http://www.leicesterspeedway.com/news.php?extend.31835.1 So only on the BSP Ltd website & here on the forum are posters saying "supposed" illness. So who is to blame for the mis information? Possibly "keyboard warriors" who hate almost every thing of Scunthorpe/Godfrey notification.
  17. Why?? They will be riding for their respective Championship clubs!
  18. In my opinion, there should be no need for heats 43 & 44(run off & final) as a tapes, fall of ef is costly. Riding 14 times(I think if I remember) in pairs should be enough. But they know the rules & scoring system before they start.
  19. Many thanks to the riders that have said yes to guesting for us, but this is an embarrassing team put out. Going to Leicester is hard enough, going up against 4 heat leaders, 2 riders that can score well(6-9 points) plus a RS that is a bit up & down with his scoring. This team, put out by our Management, consists of 3 guests that, according to the October CMA's are no5 & 2 at no6 in their respective teams averages. Add that to our no2 & captain, our reserve that has been in that position all season through trying too hard early on, making too many mistakes, but has improved to gate better & being on the pace but gets over excited throwing points away & a talented 1* rated rising star that has just moved in to the main body, having an average of about 5.8 mainly through a home average about 8 & an away average about 3.5. We will be lucky, and I mean VERY LUCKY, to score 19-21 points tonight unless Leicester, of course, knowing job is done, just go through the motions for a bit of fun. I, honestly, feel sorry for the Leicester fans that turn out tonight to endure this miss-match.
