  1. I don't think your spirit level is doing its job going by the picture of block laying.
  2. Nah. The surprise was today in the "entertaining" Simon Lambert(as someone said earlier). Welcome back Captain Fantastic.
  3. So did Peterborough this year in Palin, Ostergaard, Harris & Andersen & Nicholls was almost one, missed out by 0.0013(I think was quoted a while back).
  4. He missed 11 years in British Speedway but was given an assessed average of 8.25 for 2020. He was then given a further 0.25 reduction to 8 to fit him in to ride in 2 British leagues. Based on that, he would have been assessed about 9-9.25 for missing 7 years. But again, no body else got a reduction for missing 2020!
  5. Jason Crump got a further reduction for another year out(2020) even though he rode in Australian meetings just to fit him in for 2021!
  6. We had similar issues a few years back when they broke in & took bikes & quads. The police were called & even though they were riding around on these bikes in the near vicinity & the club said "those are our bikes", the police could still not do a thing. There was, also, another time the "scum" were in the area & over 20 manhole covers were removed from the industrial site nearby & probably sold for scrap.
  7. Get some wildlife monitors/cameras in & link them to phones so know when activated or get security teams in until gypos have been evicted.
  8. I totally agree, also. We are now into December & nothing final on averages(to the public & paying public!). It seems strange that teams are now naming riders but still no averages in their press releases. Although all promoters have a full list, I would imagine all will be revealed at the AGM on 6th December even though most rules are now known & this meeting is just about the finances. Unless any other business/ clarifications need to be sorted out.
  9. Adam Ellis next signing on a bargain average. A potent top 3.
  10. The riding order is not fixed either in that the lowest averaged rider & RS can ride at 6 OR 7.
  11. We can almost rely on SL getting 5 or 6 points from heats 1 & 8 from his no 2 position at home but might struggle to score more points with a top no 1 at home. He might struggle more away but could hold his average. His gelling of the team & work ethic as captain is a big plus in any side.
  12. A double negative means a positive so ....... will win something.
  13. About the same as 30-40 riders that have to ask Poole if they are riding for them before talking to other clubs.
  14. We will know nearer Xmas for our surprise but as more teams reveal their riders, I guess we will know before then. For this year, most teams seem reluctant to announce riders & with the merry-go-round of R Worrall & R Lawson changing teams after verbal agreement, it could be interesting up to Christmas & possibly beyond until contracts are signed in maybe February to March. We, also, could see the re-introduction of one or both of Birmingham & Kent.
  15. Might be busy assisting track work at Birmingham, if they run.
  16. Averages don't lie but he had a 9 point home average coupled with a 3.5ish away average. If he can get near to his home form again & improve his away form close to his 2019 average of 6, then he is 1 rider who could improve his average. I expect him to ride at 3 or 4 with JP as his partner so if 1 kicks on, the other suffers, slightly. JP next rider announced next Thursday?
  17. Looks like it is going to be a good set up & start up project so good luck to all involved in getting a team back in the leagues. Just a little mention from the picture & if my eyes deceive me but to me, the bends seem slightly dis-similar in that bend 1 is of a flatter curve going in to a rounded bend 2 where as it is the opposite for bends 3 & 4 where it is a rounded 3 & flatter 4. I would think bends 3 & 4 would be the more ideal for racing. Was this down to the constraints of the area?. I know our track is not the normal shape & is "egg shaped" but this was down to the land available as it was built on the old Normanby Steel Works site & wanting to dig down to form a bowl, we encountered too much buried steelwork.
  18. Good Friday or Easter Sunday 2022 http://scunthorpe-speedway.com/?p=13827
  19. His profile name was Richard Weston & changed it to 00000 taken from meeting thread checked quoted name then a replied name. During this season we had many different opinions, which we all are entitled too.
  20. R Weston. He knew everything involved these last few years & defended them to the hilt, even the website with no fixtures & old averages. It seemed that only the news items were updated.
  21. Wasn't Kim Nilsson another of those owed money?
  22. Where is 00000 now, when you need clarification on matters on Eastbourne Speedway?
  23. On having his year out, he spent a bit of time with his shoulder recuperation then time with Darcy Ward & Davey Watt, 2 guys with experience of tighter technical tracks & they may have advised him to ride them more regularly, hence riding for Leicester & Wolves. He has improved on these tracks & still scores well on the more open bended ones so having Scunthorpe Friday, Poland Saturday & Wolves(technical) Monday/Thursday could be a good option. Having 2 tight tracks in England probably, will not help his progress in Poland.
  24. I have seen Edwards name in the Ekstraliga section in the Grudziadz team, although as an under 24 rider. I am unsure of race day for U24 teams. https://speedwayteams2022.blogspot.com/p/pge-ekstraliga-2022.html
