I am just wary of Bates still being in the system but having a lower rating next year as he was injured this year & not having the opportunity to improve. (We know who he is related too. )
-
This is where you could be right in having a "maximum total" for the Rising Stars, say 7 in Prem & 5 in Champ & again it is how they (Vatcher? not BSP Ltd/SCB) re-catagorise them in 2022. The "Draft System" in the Premiership was wrong as it was a step too soon for the youngsters, but this system seems better & would work in most people eyes if it was explained in print more clearly rather than kept in secret (averages seems to be a major point that is brought up).

I can't see why you are putting Palin in the same category as Flint, Kemp, Hume & Bailey as hr has only had 1 years experience at the top leagues so I would have him as a 2* as he still has a lot to learn & is averaging about 3.5 away. Even D Thompson is doing better than Palin. The system was flawed as nothing was mentioned about what would happen to the rider the following years whether then had a good, average or poor season reaching a certain limit. Also, having Bates in there on a 4* after 6 years as a racer is not what it was intended for, in my opinion.

Changing your tune, now, or hearing differing snippets of gossip or just guessing. Here is what you said on Monday in the Scorpions 20220 thread "I have a suspicion re rising start that might be extended to 5*. And maybe each CH team has to have 2 who can add up to no more than say 7. So maybe flint and Brennan for example become 5* and if wish to have them as such have to use a Crang or a Blair as other reserve? It's just a theory but think would encourage teams to use British riders as on potentially lower averages and doesn't make sense for riders to only be in RS system for only 1 year. Josh bates excluded!!!!

Building new housing estates still occurs during winter, probably in Swindon too.

Scunthorpe Scorpions 2022

A fantastic team, I agree, & probably fits in at around 34.6 with a few changes to averages as some riders rode in league meetings after 23rd September (Leicester, Glasgow, Kent & Birmingham). It does NOT include KOC or Play Off meetings. -
They have still got 6 months to bulldoze the old stadium & level it to a degree to make it safe while putting together the new(ish) portacabins/building blocks for the opposite side with starting gates & referees box. The track is still untouched so will only need remedial work.

Scunthorpe Scorpions 2022

On another thread, I think jaizer has mentioned a Rising Star total of 7 for 2 riders then any combination could be used (5 & 2, 4 & 3, ? & 1) & I would not think both would move up that much from being 1* riders(still only 1 years experience in top leagues of racing). -
Scunthorpe Scorpions 2022
IronScorpion replied to IronScorpion's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I mentioned Pickering as he has scored well in his 2 visits & Edinburgh have 3 heat leaders combined total of 25. Leicester have 4 x 8 point riders & Poole have 3 x 8 pointers although Schlein is retiring this year. -
There are quite a few posts on the 2020 thread since Friday with posters posting their views on their team for 2022 so here is a new thread for you all. A few whispers heard, Jake Allen signed as an asset. A more interesting point though & even though I have asked many times in the past, there has still been NOTHING in print to how the 5 year Rising Star Plan is to work for the 2nd year & beyond. If Allen is a Scorpion in 2022 then how would that affect Ellis as, even though he is a no1 in most peoples eyes, his average is slightly less than Allen's. Would he be on similar terms or have to take a drop to Heat Leader status? (unsure how points money is paid but would have thought, high to low, no1 ... heat leaders ... 2nd strings ... reserves/Rising Stars(2 for 2022?) Ellis (but Douglas is preferred option) Allen Jorgensen/Pickering Lambert/Nicol/Kennedy Mountain Palin Gilkes A team based on riders that can ride the EWR but, also, ride the tighter technical tracks

Everybody else would have had a chance if they had shown an interest to the BSP Ltd & Jake himself.
-
I would, almost, agree on this but it is NOT a done deal but has been approached to be. Rob said he had approached Somerset with Jake's blessing to buy his contract. Somerset has folded & I think all assets are transferred to the BSP Ltd banner. Rob, also, said talks are still on going for the rules for 2022 & the Premiership & Championship still have to agree team building limits. So, going by what was said, we now own Jake but it is not 100% certain he will be a Scorpion in 2022 (but probably 90%)

Speedway Star averages are 2021 average only & include bonus points. It is also League & KOC points whereas CMA's are League only

..... and Scunthorpe have been (now guaranteed) patiently waiting 3 weeks for their play off opponents as the original cut off date for the play offs(16th Sept) was extended by 10 days to the 26th.

From the initial post, I have read these, also, but they have no dates attached so these could be years old. -
I am guessing you don't trust Politicians, either. It has affected other riders, as well, but either injured or do not go out of the country as often as Tero. I have checked 4 weather forecasts & they are all similar in that the rain is mainly morning. It will give Rob & his team enough time to vacuum off the excess water & relay the track as I would not expect much shale to be on track overnight. If taken off, this should be under covers(tarpaulins) to keep dry.
