Loved the passion and excitement in Tatums voice....also thought Nicholls interview with Doyle right at the end was first class, only possible where riders are interviewed by riders or ex riders. One disappointment was when Thompson won heat six beating Kurtz from behind, no pit interview with him yet an interview with someone else, think it was Cook.
-
really?...both captains weren't bothered at all by it...now surely the SCB have bigger problems than this to address. Personally thought it added something to what is usually a boring to a coin toss, Speedway was top drawer last night with one of the best meetings of league racing, lets not lose sight of that with trying to find something that isn't there.

even before the rain it was a borefest, even after the rain it was a borefest,,,,highlight of the meeting, the adverts Kurtz is riding well, Freddie has the biggest pair of balls going, BZ is the entertainer, the rest will have the odd GP here and there to raise the pulses. The tracks in general for the GP's are little more than a gaters paradise, boils my piss when we are six races in and we are told that the track will come good, over a quarter of the way through a meeting and its follow the leader, Then after any track preparation it goes back to gate and go.
-
so the day has arrived, Lions to win by an easy eight or more. So much talk about Klindt having seven rides, no one has mentioned that if he misses the gate in his first two rides he is more than likely to be last, which will put a huge doubt on him having seven rides. The biggest advantage for Lynn may be the weather, if its a damp track it could make it a great leveller.

just to add a little perspective, riders have been known to get guarantees in speedway.

Jan Staechman said during heats 1,2 and 3 going to be some good racing later on when the track settles, heat 7 and he now says there’s just one racing line….Tatum is a different level to Jan. -
Big out shout out to the track staff for preparing a track that was raceable, the rain at 4.30 was torrential. Fair play to Tatum, Nicholls and Louis, thought they were very interesting and knowledgeable. Fricke looked good, match winner for me was Howarth. A decent sized crowd in attendance as well. Enjoyed it last night.

any newbie watching last nights meeting would have bigger questions than Tatums gaff...people on here sitting at home in their y fronts with the Lidl fan on, feet in a bowl of cold water, playing Neil Diamond on repeat on the TDK C90 tape they bought at the car boot sale , with the dog ten stone over weight licking its balls, neighbours next door not answering the door to the old bill, sitting with the laptop on just waiting for a commentators gaff, a riders mistake or a team mangers error.....gotta love us speedway fans haven't with we!!! -

really enjoy the Tatum and Nicholls combination, both have personalities and their own traits....would rather listen to ex riders who have some idea what they are talking about.....nobody has that close contact and "in" with the riders like Nicholls has. For those moaning about Tatums gaff about only needing one point to win, if you knew at the time it was wrong what real difference did it make, did it spoil your viewing of heat 15?. Some people on here would moan if you gave them a gold bar, moaning it was too heavy! -
speedway is in the entertainment sector, sadly last nights meeting was not entertaining. For the sport to evolve it needs to attract new and young fans to go to meetings and thus be entertained.

I was going to vote but couldn’t see a option for the tractor driver.

All joking put to one side, a truly shocking night for the sport…. The hotdogs are not real sausages.
-
I bet the locals are looking forward to Blue performing afterwards. None of the natives will be feeling Blue after this meeting.

Anybody know if the hotdogs are real sausages or those wannabe sausages?
