  1. And people moan about Tatum and co….different level to these two….comment of the night so far, “it’s slick at the moment”.
  2. Well done Ipswich and commiserations to Leicester. Two talking points for me, Heat 3, Douglas bails out whilst his team mate is in front, shows no intent on getting off of the track, ref has no option but to re-run it, low and behold its a 5-1 to Ipswich and its just about game over in all honesty. Lost any momentum and in reality and any chance of winning the meeting. Heat 14, think Hawkins dropped a clanger, changing reserves could of cost Ipswich the title, obviously it is now irrelevant but at the time he should of had the luxury of having a reserve to bring in if one of them had touched the tapes or been injured etc, Only small things but massive in the grand scheme of things!!
  3. Well an interesting rumour doing the rounds, Zmarzlik to guest for the Witches tonight, cannot see it myself.
  4. moan, moan and more moaning....haven't you got a programme to fill in from the 70's or wash the flask out!..
  5. There has been very little racing....main reason being the tracks are far too slick, must be a directive from either the promoters or the riders, either way they are killing the product.
  6. The format works so no need to change that, the one thing that needs addressing over the winter months is the track preparation and that goes for the Grand Prix's as well, the tracks are atrocious and serve up little more than follow the leader, speedway is in the entertainment game and these events should be the prime events for the world to look at and watch, now if us hardened speedway "fans" find them boring then how do we think "newbies" to the sport feel?? Last night the track was that slick i would imagine even with the very small crowd they would of covered the shale costs!
  7. thanks for the reminder, can teams still use a joker and or rider replacement etc and is it double points?..
  8. fully expecting the track to be six inches deep in shale and wetter than a bonnie blue mattress
  9. wise man once said..."do not wave your finger going over the winning line in a speedway heat 13 race, imitating you are number one, as in your next race you will look silly old man!".
  10. What ever the sport, you go into a competition knowing the rules and the parameters. Whether they are seen to be right or wrong by some is irrelevant. The biggest disappointment for me is the general preparation and state of the tracks, they have been terrible and almost gate and go. Well done to BZ but Brady conducted himself well as a human being let alone as a sportsman. The record books will show BZ as equalling winning the most world titles, if he wins one more then he will be the GOAT,
  11. anybody else expecting a dreadful non racing track tonight?....the absolute pinnacle of the season and i worry that it will be a track throwing up pure boredom.
  12. I would be pretty hacked off if I was a Belle Vue rider, fan, promoter and team manager, when your number one, captain and team mate puts in a performance like that.
  13. if Belle Vue get within ten points they would of exceeded my expectations.
  14. How refreshing that the best rider on show last night was a Englishman, absolutely brilliant. Ipswich are in the box seat, will have to be a different Belle Vue team turn up for them to progress.
  15. Ellis at reserve is key, could quite easily nail a double figure score but then again he's dropped to reserve for a reason!...love the Belle Vue track and what it throws up racing wise, should be a cracker.
  16. at least this GP must be up for a reward, most boring GP this season....absolute borefest....however there is still one to go Vojens, now this could quite easily take the award. On a serious note, does no one in power of the GP's look back in the debrief and think yep we fekked that up?
  17. So the posts on this thread regarding Oxford riders not being paid have little or no credence to them, all of them including Tungate who some on here said he'd walked rode last night and not the slightest bit of evidence to back u[p posts on here.
  18. There were various posts on here stating they hadn't been paid, mainly due to Tungates actions last week...lets see if those posts have any credence or facts to them.
  19. According to this forum, Tungate had walked from the club...and that Oxford riders were owed large sums of monies. Guess time will tell if there is any foundation to them.
