  1. Wouldnt be at all surprised to see Malcolm come up with another rider, from the not to distant past, who may be wanting to give it one last effort, Luke Chessell, dont know if his 4+ average is to high.
  2. Tis also a figure of speech Mr M .
  3. So we cant join in the annual guessing games, "Cuz Its Dudley" oh by the way RB national Service finished light years ago, seems its only the fans who dont want us to have riders, cuz its great experience for the youngsters to ride in front of 1000+ fans, rather than 1 man and his dog.
  4. Kyle a good rider, bags of ability, not so sure its his head, probably more down to finances. just to say, he is one i wouldnt have minded seing in heathens colours, especially on that average, a snip.
  5. Sorry mate i beg to differ, Tom Pom, will guarantee points away from home, same with Darryl, and Byron, throw in young Ellis, and they are a potent force to be reckoned with away from home, away form has been IOW,s weakness in recent years, this team wont get ommered away.
  6. Okay Then, if Connor isnt going to be there, I have scanned thru the averages, and come up with; 1. Ash Morris 2. Dan Greenwood 3. Paul Starke 4. Lewis Blackbird 5. Luke Chessell/Brady Kurtz 6. Max Clegg 7. Nathan Grieves That keeps Max at reserve, and gives us 2 options as the No 5, and with 11.04 assuming Paul Starke is signed, that will leave us just 5.34 for the final rider, and i really cant see any other than 1 of those two, at the No 5 or however the team lines up, Luke comes to most home meetings any way.
  7. Slight Change then. 1. Ash Morris 2. Dan Greenwood 3. Paul Starke 4. Lewis Blackbird 5. Connor Coles/Brady Kurtz 6. Max Clegg 7. Nathan Grieves The averages should fit, and packed with potential.
  8. If you have signed Boris also, which team will The Heathens supporters support in 2013 ? certainly will be some divided loyalties when you come to Monmore Wood, but i can see the IOW having some healthy away support when they are at Coventry, Stoke and Buxton, which can only be good for everyone.
  9. Hmmm, 2 ways to go with the final 2, either a rider such a JJ with another 3 pointer such as Kurtz, this would be my preference, loads of potential improvement going for that option, especially as the play offs would be months away, and Clegg, Grieves and Kurtz, should be well adjusted to NL racing by then, and hopefully be injury free and getting regular 5/6s, Ash, Lewis and AN Other would be a solid Top end, and DG should be at least 6+. The 2nd option would be to go for 2 x 5 1/2ish riders, hoping at least one of them or DG would push on to 3rd Heat leader status, and having Max at reserve. Seems Nigel P has already said Max will be at reserve, which leaves the 5 1/2 pointer options, they are like rocking horse sh**e, not many of them around, possibly count them on 1 hand. PS, BJ, with LC and CC from rye house as outside candidates, but on slightly lower averages. 1.Ash Morris 2. Brendan Johnson 3. Lewis Blackbird 4. Dan Greenwood 5. Paul Starke 6. Max Clegg 7. Nathan Grieves 1. Ash Morris 2. Dan Greenwood 3. Joe Jacobs 4. Lewis Blackbird 5. Max Clegg 6. Nathan Grieves 7. Brady Kurtz Cant see the 2nd choice happening, but boy what would the average age be ? and its packed with potential.
  10. That has to be stokes No1 & 2 I would have thought, leaves 22.72 for 5 riders, take away say 6.00 for reserves, leaves roughly 16.72 for the other three. I would expect to see young Carr in the Team also, which would leave around 13 for the last 2 riders.
  11. If thats true, then they are gonna take some beating. Tom will love that track.
  12. If he keeps putting out the bait, we will sure as hell keep biting. Yep as you say will be an interesting season, theres no way we can be as strong as last season, others will strengthen up, such as IOW and Kings Lynn both have made good starts to there Team building for 2013, Mildy will keep the majority of there 2012 Team, we ourselves are having almost a complete rebuild, and it will take time for the Team to gel. RH, Buxton, and Stoke, have been relatively quiet so far, though i do expect RH to Track the majority of last seasons Team, Coventry who knows, but with the signing of Greenwood, Franklin, and reputedly Grieves going there, thats a good start, just remains to be seen, who there big hitters will be, Perry wouldnt be a bad No1 for anyone.
  13. Hmmm, wonder who our 3 pointer is going to be ?.
  14. Will we never learn when it comes to M Lee, we tend to be a bit naive as far as he is concerned, Im afraid its men against boys when it comes to our dealings with him, if he told me it was raining outside, Im afraid i would have to go outside and see for myself, before i would believe a word that he said, still lets hope what goes around comes around in 2013.
  15. Yeah, its part of the planning permission which was granted, now if they could have made it an hour later...however, i doubt 1 hour here or there will make that much difference to travelling Heathens fans, but remember it will mean we should get home 1 hour earlier. Good luck to everyone at Central Park it may not be another Team, but it is another Track.
  16. Good luck to Darryl for 2013, good young rider, and the IOW are building a decent squad for 2013.
  17. Im awaiting confirmation of another good young signing by the Islanders, not my place to announce it.
  18. Can we Have JJ or SN instead plz, i dont fancy another double upper.
  19. Well if thats true 123, it will be one heck of a clearout, and I would expect possibly an Experienced rider to be in there, possibly an ex Heathen, backed up by some progressive young uns, as to who they may be, time alone will tell, but i await with eager anticipation.
  20. NL Teams who run under a senior Team have this perception of being reserve Teams which they arent or have never been, I cant think of one over the years that has had any kind of succesful attendance figures. Coventry CL, Wolves CL, Bournemouth NL, Newport CL & NL, Scunny NL, Belle Vue NL, Rye House NL, Kings Lynn NL, Newcastle NL, all have tried and failed, what it really needs is not only for the promoters to try the NL, but they have to try something different, such as if they are a Senior team season ticket holder, they can watch NL for half price, or produce a Senior program <though open to abuse> for half price admission to NL meetings. Surely its better to have 200 spectators at £5/6 than 50 at a tenner. Get out to local junior schools, and give demonstrations by riders and bikes, along with a video or three, give them free tickets for NL meetings, along with a fixture list, I personally can only see Coventry running for 1 season unless something is tried outside of the norm, something pro active has to be tried to get spectators through the gates, normally most Teams give kids for free with a paying adult, why not try reverse psychology and give adults free with the child who uses promotional ticket cuz its of no use just to say, we are doing NL racing in 2013/14 or whatever, because history says it wont last. Use NL racing to try different promotional activities, and if they are succesful then these junior Teams will have a future, it may also be worthwhile trying a fiver admission for less attractive meetings, such as against Dudley cant let it go without mentioning us, cuz a fiver admission occasionally has to be better than spectator not going at all. Come on Lorro, you know it makes sense.
  21. and therein lies the problem for NL Teams with who run under a senior Team, I cant think of one over the years that has had any kind of succesful attendance figures. 22. HT, I havent condonned Tapping up, if it does go on with contracted riders then i strongly condem it, what i was trying to clarify, was does a contract end at a certain time/date ? then if thats the case, its perfectly okay for the riders to be approached.
