Its only a close season past time. as Islander named a team he would like to see, i just joined in the fun, Iv no doubts the team will end up nothing like it, well maybe something like it, but with 1 or 2 differences.

Ando is a brilliant Team guy, scores well away from home, will love your Track, Starkey has a great average, Danny & Ben solid with double figure scoring ability, Danny S, get him on some decent equipment and he could get up near a 6 average, and the 2 reserves what can i say about them..full of potential

To be honest, having signed Adam Ellis, they have more than a head start over every other Team, only needs them to get a genuine No1, no disrespect to DW, and they should be amongst the front runners ie improve on there finish this season, good luck to the IOW, great set-up, and more than deserve everything that comes there way, lets hope other Teams get what they deserve, . We cant have the NL degenerate in to another PL as in football. Now let me see, whose turn is it to win something in 2013. Buxton ? cleaned up in 2010, Scunny ? won in 2011, Mildenhall? cleaned up in 2012, maybe IOW in 2013, if it turns out to be that way, I for one wont begrudge them.

Whilst the list seems to be generally a good summary of the riders averages. There is no way Ashley Birks is only seventh best rider, however more worryingly, when you look outside the Top 10 there are several riders who are what i would now term Journeymen, ie they have reached there level, i expect them to be in the same position next season, having been overtaken by the more progressive younger riders. I expect much of the top Ten to push on next season and hold down a PL Team place.

Obviously you cant get over the work commitments Jayne, but i meant Saturday afternoons, Tapes up at 3-00pm Buxton on the afternoon, Then Stoke on the way back for Stoke in the evening .

Its not only about cutting 1 Heat, no-one believes that in itself makes or breaks a Team, there needs to be a whole package; Top of them HAS to be to cut costs for riders, combined with reduced costs for the promoters, this then HAS to be passed on to the supporters, cut out the delays between Heats, especially on re-runs, The 13 Heat formula with a 2nd half is a great Idea, if this can be done, especially if it includes Amateur League racing, especially if the reserves from each Team could be included. Free Admission for kids with a parent is a must.

following on from the announcement of NL racing returning to Coventry, the rumours about Leicester joining the EL persist, if that were to happen, i would not be at all surprised to see Leicester go for an NL Team, what with Dudley, Coventry and Leicester, there would be some mouth watering clashes in prospect, this is only my thoughts, but i think it would be do-able.

Some good ideas there Vog, but remember we also need to get the costs down. The overall points limit has to be reduced, yes i know there will still be 90 points to race and be paid for, but as we are all aware some Teams pay over and above the agreed minimum rate, but a 5/6/7 average rider wont be paid more than an 8+ pointer surely ?. Definately to achieve this only 1 over the 8 in each team, will also help to distribute the Top riders, I dont want to see Dudley/Stoke with 2 X 8 pointers and Buxton & KL with none, 60 point home wins are not what its all about. Heat 15; there is no need for it. Peter Morrish is past his sell by date, bring in someone younger with fresh Ideas, possibly a Committee of three to oversee the running of the NL. The guest rule is far to Harsh, Yes by all means a Guest for your No1, but in addition you may use a guest for another injured rider only, but his current average has to be 2 points less than the rider he replaces, this ruling of only using a 3 point unattached 3 point rider is far,far to harsh, especially at the business end of the season, when a 3 pointer covers a 7/8/9 pointer.

Whats needed to improve or even save the NL in 2013 ?? I can see a points reduction ahead, and probably to allow a fairer share around of Heat leaders maybe only 1 rider in each Team over 8. Whats your thoughts guys on what is needed for the NL to continue ?. Trial four Heats of 1 lap sprints, during a meeting, and do away with Heat 15, which benefits top heavy Teams, reduce the 6 meetings to get a new average.

And It seems there is every likelihood that Plymouth if they run anywhere in 2013, would be NL. So it doesnt appear to be as bleak for the NL as what it seemed a few weeks ago.

Rami, dont get dragged into it mate; FT aint been around on here long but he is a one eyed Tigers fan. They aint in the NL for nowt, its about there level , and as for CL & ML well all i can say about them and there antics of requesting the use of Adam Ellis as there No 8, just to stop us using him. Then Lo and Behold Blackbird is fit enough to ride at KL, it just shows the level some will stoop to, and they accuse US of win at ALL costs . But Hey its all Dudleys fault. Just to re-iterate Dudley are NOT trying to get the result overturned, they have objected to Chris Louis being allowed into the Ref,s box, which has been pointed out, is against the rules. It appears that at Ipswich for the PLLC against Somerset the refs box had a padlock on, to keep certain officials OUT .

its all about opinions, but mine differs greatly to yours. Yes a neutral Track, but cancelled out now by the loss of Tom Perry, effectively we now have 4 reserves, RR and 2 Heat leaders , can we hold you ? very possibly, what we cant afford is the loss of another rider tonight.
