Dear me The Coach was booked to arrive at Mildenhall for a 3-00pm start, is that mischief making, or an hidden agenda ?? absolutely ridiculous statement. Tell you what, if Mildenhall AND their supporters want it that bad, we will just concede it to you, and see you in the play offs.

HaHa, just shows how things can be misconstrued, THE IMPLICATION BEING, he WONT get the oportunity.

Isle Of Wight V Dudley (koc - S-f - 2nd Leg) - Thurs 09/08
greyhoundp replied to ellioth4's topic in National League Speedway
Oh dear No Danny, Kyle having Bike problems, i hope the Islanders can give us a test. -
HaHaHa; did you notice the edit whilst you were writing your reply ,i was editing, I added very importantly "down here" But back on Topic, why CANT Mildenhall bring the start time forward ??, we are already without Tom Perry come what may, so with a midday start it would still be a good meeting, perhaps even Cam would be able to ride then ?, or better still Monday 27th Bank Holiday, Tigers riding at Mildenhall against Stoke, make that a double header, you would be quids in, with the away support.
-
Tell you what Montie, YOU give us The Track down here and we will provide the Training schools, and probably Janno and Eric would be the first to step forward and offer training and advice, do we have a Deal ?.
-
Hey Montie i dont recall Scunny using many 3 pointers when they were solely in the NL . Scunthorpe have their agenda, The Heathens have theirs, and it is as Villiers says, I wont be going on for me an almost 300 mile round Trip to watch Guests, we have our OWN Team which includes Adam, Ashley, and Tom, not forgetting Mildenhall r without Heeps & Blackbird. This is an official League meeting with competitive racing, its all very well people saying give the kids a go, which to an extent i agree with, mostly they can hold there own on their own Track, but when they travel they usually struggle to be competitive, against established riders.
-
As an aside to all of this, Chris Louis <Mildenhall> Nigel Pearson <Heathens> work alongside each other at Sky, i am sure an amicable agreement can be reached, but it does seem to me, there is no way this meeting can be ridden on this day.
-
A few riders LOL, you are talking 5 out of 14, by my reckoning thats more than a third, I have an idea who we will use to cover Adam RR for Ash and an un attached 3 pointer for Tom we will get by, but the meeting will be de-valued.
-
With so many riders missing, this fixture needs to be re-scheduled ASAP.
-
There must have been some agreement between the Two Teams, otherwise The Heathens would not have objected to putting the start time back. http://www.dudleyheathens.co/news.php?extend.611
-
I cant see any reason for it, but Mildenhall need to consider the effect it will have on their gate revenue, floating supporters and supporters of other teams wont want to come and watch a meeting with Guests and RR, if the Two Teams can put out full strength Teams it will be an absolute Cracker, not much between the two Teams, and we all want to watch a close exciting Meeting, loads of Heathen Fans would be there, plus other Fans, it will be a shame to see the meeting devalued.
-
It seems Mildenhall are trying to put back the start time of their Home meeting with The Heathens, originally it had been brought forward, due to both Mildenhall and The Heathens having riders at Leicester PL meeting later that evening, an early start would have allowed both Teams to Track their PL riders in the NL meeting. If the fixture is allowed to revert back to a 4-30 start time, The Tigers will be without Lewis Blackbird, and The Heathens will be without Adam Roynon, Tom Perry, and Ashley Morris. Surely a League is won on Track, with the best riders of BOTH Teams racing against each other ? it appears Mildenhall may want to win it by other means .
-
Who is there, that is up to PL standard ? and if they aint going to get paid, who will want to ?.
-
Talking of guests Jayne, Tom Perry has to be the one average of 5+ .
-
Mark has loads of talent, pushed Royno all the way to the Track record two weeks ago, if he got his head down and concentrated on Speedway, there is NO doubt in my mind, he could be PL Standard, but then again he is British.
-
Sorry to hear that about Rob, would Lee Smart be a goer for you jayne ? he rode in the Golden Ommer, so must be fit again. dont know how his average fits, wether its his old NL average or his PL converted average.

21st, just one point, you say Birks and Lambert not winning the points that they usually do, i think its fair to say, they dont always come up against Royno,Perry,Bekker and Co, and away from home at that, i can only recall one race where they dropped points, that was when Ashley Birks fell, on the other occasions they were beat fair and square. Yes everything is looking good, and all being well, fixture clashes and injuries permitting, an exciting end of season is looming.
-
All in all a good nights racing, and i think fair to say, it could have been a few more points for The Heathens, JWW falling needlessly when in an untroubled second place, Ash Morris falling impetuously when in second and challenging, Tom dropping a point with suspension trouble. Besides that Stoke fought to the end, led by Ashley Birks and Simon Lambert, and backed up by Ben Reade, Tony Aitkin & Adam Wrathall were dissapointing, but Adam never seems to go well at Monmore, Race of the night was undoubtably Ht 12, plaudits to Ben, Tom and Byron for that, worth the admission money alone. Well done to ALL the riders, specially to the Heathens who notched up another important home win, in front of a bigger than normal crowd, including a few from Edinburgh we were told, and now as we aproach the business end of the season, but may i remind the riders and supporters of 2 seasons ago, we topped the table but won NOWT, this time we can go one better.
-
Well done to young mr Stoneman, his best result of the season i would think, just shows what having a decent sponsor can do for you, they must have brought him a magic shoe, never mind a steel shoe, more of the same from now on.

I have always had a soft spot for Plymouth, and it is sad to read of the goings on down there, allegedly riders being owed money, others not being paid in full, riders asked to take pay cuts, and public rows between riders and the promotion, all in all not a happy camp by the sounds of it, I think the BSPA need to step in before things get worse, just to get the Team/Club through the season, and then review matters during the close season. So much of what is happening reminds me of a certain welsh Team over the years, When they returned they had fantastic crowds, then they slowly dwindled over the years, never to return, and in the end we all know what happened there just prior to the beginning of this season, heaven forbid this happening to Plymouth. Somehow or other, i believe there should be a supporter led protest, not by staying away, but get behind the Team, support the riders, and contact the BSPA, I and most of the Speedway fraternity dont want to lose another Team/Track.
-
Can only see a win for IOW here, i wouldnt be surprised to see The Islanders go over the 50 points, but one thing is for sure, The young Scunny riders will enjoy the experience of riding the Islanders Track, can we have it up here in Heathen land plz.

Mildenhall V Stoke - National League - 5/8/12
greyhoundp replied to PhilK's topic in National League Speedway
Just to cheer you Tigers fans up a little, When the Heathens come to West Row, Tom Perry who was due to ride for us as reserve, is not available < some darned Grass Track event> so we will have to track an unattached 3 pointer, Im sure that will put a smile back on ML,s face. -
Were Stoke to win this one, it would make for a very interesting run in, what with The Heathens having yet to ride, Mildy home and away. As i said previously it seems the top four are almost decided, just remains who will have first pick in the play offs.

Mildenhall V Stoke - National League - 5/8/12
greyhoundp replied to PhilK's topic in National League Speedway
Put my ten penneth worth in for what its worth, Ashley, and Lewis have been predominantly NL this year, and didnt have a PL team at seasons start, so therefore NL should have priority, Tom Perry, Cam Heeps were named in a PL Team at seasons start, so PL Team should have priority, this does not penalise the NL Team, or the other option is to allow a Guest in this situation. Well done to The Potters, unexpected win for you, tough on The Tigers, lets just hope you dont do the same at our place on Tuesday , if the weather permits of course, whatever it will be a tight meeting, as Ashley, Simon, Ben all go well at our place, and Tony has plenty of experience around Monmore. -
Mildenhall V Stoke - National League - 5/8/12
greyhoundp replied to PhilK's topic in National League Speedway
I am guessing that on the 19th you are probably riding against The Heathens, The Tigers would be without Lewis, and The Heathens without Adam & Ashley, also i believe a fair few Heathens fans will take in the Leic v Worky meeting on the way home, so everyone gains by having 1 meeting start brought forward, and the other start time put back,
