Nothing to do with Leicester finishing bottom. I just think it's a fairer way.

Why is it a joke? It's quite simple. 4 points for a win by 7+ 3 points for a win by 6- 2 points for a draw 1 point for a loss by 6- 0 point for a loss by 7+ And on this basis season 2011 would have ended up as follows. The top 4 would have still been the 4 that contested the play offs but Lakeside would have finished 3rd and King's Lynn 4th but places 5 to 8 would have all finished in a different order with Coventry slipping from 5th to 8th and interestingly Poole would only have finished 2 points in front of Eastbourne. The full list would have been as follows. 01-Poole-71 02-Eastbourne-69 03-Lakeside-60 04-King's Lynn-59 05-Peterborough-57 06-Belle Vue-54 07-Wolverhampton-53 08-Coventry-52 09-Birmingham-48 10-Swindon-37 Cheers BB

At last night's Lions' dinner dance both Jan Graversen & Magnus Karlsson put pen to paper for 2012 to ride again for Leicester. Cheers BB -
Now that all matches have been completed I can reveal who were the best performing BNL riders during the final weeks of the season as follows:- 01-Simon Lambert-Stoke 02-Cameron Heaps-Mildenhall 03-Todd Kurtz-Newport 04-Robert Branford-Buxton 05-Richie Worrall-Scunthorpe 06-Ashley Birks-Scunthorpe 07-Ben Taylor-Buxton 08-Jay Herne-Newport 09-Jason Garrity-Belle Vue 10-Nick Simmons-Isle Of Wight I realize that Simon Lambert finished the season on the injured list but as he had been at the top for most of the season I thought I would still include him. The +/- method simply shows it how it is and as it stands at the current moment in time, not how it might be or how it will eventually end up. Yesterday's matches are an example of what can happen with Dudley dropping a home point, Belle Vue gaining an away point, Isle Of Wight dropping points at home and Mildenhall gaining points away. These change the rankings as follows:- 01-Stoke +08 02-Belle Vue +06 03-Mildenhall +06 04-Scunrhorpe +04 05-Hackney +02 06-Dudley +02 07-King's Lynn -01 08-Newport -05 09-Isle Of Wight -07 10-Buxton -10 REgards BB

I would be most grateful if someone would very kindly post the rider's individual scorechart for this match. Regards and hopefully BB

I think my +/- method is really quite simple to understand as it shows how the league will end up if no further home points are lost and no further away points are gained. It is quite likely however that this will not remain the case and when a change is made the new chart will reflect it and so on etc. etc. Standings up to and including 15.08.11 are as follows:- 01-Stoke +08 02-Belle Vue +05 03-Mildenhall +04 04-Scunthorpe +04 05-Dudley +03 06-Hackney +02 07-King's Lynn -01 08-Newport -05 09-Isle Of Wight -05 10-Buxton -10 Regards BB

Based on all riders most current 10 Matches but as some top riders have not done 10 I have included them if they have done at least 6. 01 Tpdd Kurtz 02 Kyle Howarth 03 Simon Lambert 04 Jay Herne 05 Steve Worrall 06 Barrie Evans 07 Nick Simmons 08 Richie Worrall 09 James Brundle 10 Tony Atkin Regards BB

Mildenhall's win at Dudley has made a huge difference to the league standings which are now as follows: 01 Stoke +07 02 Belle Vue +05 03 Scunthorpe +04 04 Mildenhall +04 05 Dudley +03 06 Hackney +02 07 Ling's Lynn -04 08 Newport -04 09 Ilse Of Wight -04 10 Buxton -08 Regards BB
-
The National League is at present the closest of the 3 leagues as follows:- Stoke +07 Dudley +06 Belle Vue +05 Scunthorpe +04 Hackney +02 Mildenhall +00 Newport -03 King's Lynn -04 Isle Of Wight -05 Buxton -08 Regards BB

It takes 2 teams to make a match and if one of them loses by say just one point whether it be home or away they deserve at least a point for their efforts. The away team gets one already so why not the home team as well.
-
So why should a team that loses away can get a point. Regards BB
-
I would like to suggest a slight tweak to the way match points are distributed with 4 points being available for every result not just those with away teams winning by 7 or more as follows. Home teams or away teams winning by 7+ to receive 4 points. Home teams or away teams only winning by 6 or less to receive 3 points with the remaining point being awarded to the losing team. In the event of a draw both teams to be awarded 2 points each.
-
Thanks but not exactly what I was looking for.

This season there have been numerous instances of both teams in the same match tracking a guest and in a few cases this has been coupled with the same 2 teams each operating R/R at the same time. Is it now time to call for such teams to introduce other squad members instead. I have always been agains Guests but I appreciate that sometimes it is necessary. I would however much prefer any missing rider's rides to be taken by other team members even if it means a rider having 2 RRs.
