  1. And there is loads of parking, the main road for instance, you could a line of cars on one side - plenty of parking around the stadium - although not secure, granted...
  2. Yes but 1500 at least were on the back straight hill where fans are not allowed to stand now - but easily 3,000
  3. The Arena can easily host a few thousand - a few more food vans and won't be an issue...and the best thing about Redcar is how neutral the track is, not like a Peterborough or Sheffield...
  4. Great decision from the powers that be - thoroughly deserved for the new promotion!
  5. Fingers crossed you confirm Carl Wilkinson next...
  6. Exactly, lazy promotion - I hate it when we do Newcastle or Berwick, meaning we ride against them about 5 or 6 times - just because you know fans are going to turn up, no need to be lazy.
  7. Newcastle has never looked as good as that, send your man to Rough Park to sort it out...
  8. If it is Kus, it will be a major step back - very little progression in him - if any, if it is him - and he is the second heat leader, we will get some huge pastings away from home, and only avoid them at home due to the strong reserves and hopefully MBA and Stewart dialling themselves in to the MPA... for me that team puts too much pressure on Barker - hopefully the rumours are wrong...
  9. Getting Busch back must be high on the agenda for the Bears promotion and he does owe them for standing by, I would like to think he is back in.
  10. Not a fan of Pijper but on that average is pretty unoffensive - the new asset I am still hoping could be Broc Nicol.
  11. But if you are a Redcar fan or at least someone with a connection, why would you take pleasure in winding up fans with deliberate false statements - stating that JBA would not be returning was a lie - why say anything? All you have done is make Redcar fans question JBA because if he can appoint such a cretin as his mechanic, you have to worry about him.
  12. I like the second team but with Broc Nicol instead of Greaves and if MBA was a 5.2 then you could add another heat leader. Sincerely hope the Kus rumours are not true. Backward step. I hope we add a couple of newbies, clearly we won't have a team as hard hitting as last year, so hope we move forward with fresh faces and not regress.
  13. He refused to ride for Redcar in order to get his move to Newcastle - like with Roynon etc - you turn your back on my club and I don't want you. Enough riders out there not take back anyone like that. It would be a backward step signing him, he won't add to his average and is not reliable - not a great heatleader.
  14. So according to you we have signed Chris Kerr and Roland Benko - anyone else genius?
  15. Can't be Kus - that wouldnt be 'very pleasing' to anyone but him.
  16. Could be Proctor and although would be welcomed, hardly describe it a 'very pleasing' one - he is decent, but no more - similar to a Summers - steady away but he and Barker would form a decent top-two, however - ideally we would get someone a tad stronger. Surely not Ostergaard? Personally the one former Bear I would love back is Matty T - one of the most entertaining riders ever to grace the STMP.
  17. You are certainly the man in the know, that's about five different teams who you have named a new rider for... Pinch of salt...
  18. Lindgren Wilkinson Robson And then four other duffers....just enough to bag the wooden spoon!
  19. Dont you get sick of riding against the same old teams? nothing worse than facing Newcastle four or five times a year, same with Berwick - pointless and boring.
  20. I don't have a problem - if it gets more people through the doors fair enough - but as said depends who the names are!
  21. Kus burned too many bridges - surely not an option. As has been said Anderson's brother looks likely - would like a couple of new faces so maybe him and Broc Nicol, would be something to look forward too. Bukhave too, he could be a real wild card for us. If we did go with two new faces, then we need a strong second heat leader though...
  22. They just paid more than Redcar - especially Worky last term, was a lot more than Redcar
  23. No way should Redcar think about Robson, old man only going one way....hopefully he will be at Newcastle with Wilkinson. let them take all the old duffers. Not sure of points or if it would fit, but what about? 1 - Barker 2 - Nicol 3 - MBA 4 - JBA 5 - Wolbert 6 - Bukhave 7 - AN Other
  24. Redcar have tried before, he normally follows the cash but would think we have room...would be decent signing.
