To be fair, the Kennett factor does scare the hell out of me in this one. We beat you by 7+ and I think 4th is ours to lose. A Kennett 15 (maybe even 21) point max would make this very difficult

I think the fact it is Robbo moving down and not Barker is useful. As much as I have always enjoyed watching Barker, he hasn't really dialed into the Rye track yet. Therefore, having Robbo at reserve, while not as big of an advantage as having KK there, will still be useful. The negative is that we still have the 'Truro connection' as a partnership at 1 and 2 and when they inevitably don't gate in heat 1 we will be fighting from behind.Would much prefer: Harris KK Wells Barker Nicholls Robbo Morley Then Robbo comes in to take his extra ride off Morley when he is slated alongside Barker

I think one of the most important issues is how we get Poland (or Sweden) to accept our league is 2nd rate and set averages for our riders as such. Surely that is why several of our riders can't get a meeting over there. I can't imagine with Cookie's sheer bloody-mindedness that he is actively not wanting to ride out there.

If being on a Thursday means such an increase they they could always go up. Not like the cost of being Premiership would be that much more with the diluting of the league. I'm sure you could have put together a competitive team on the cheap with younger riders. One team does that and keep the attendances then it might convert others.

Heat 20 for me was my favourite heat of the entire World Cup. Seeing Becker do that was brilliant! Also, can we also admit that the referee was awful last night. The amount of heats that should have been pulled back. It's not even like he was missing the movement at the start, because he actually warned those riders despite them not ending up with a clear disadvantage in the heat they moved in!
