  1. If you did that and used 6 points to replace Gappmaier, surely you wouldn't be able to bring Jason back in when he was fit as we'd be over the limit.
  2. If Tai has dual citizenship, he has chosen GB and that is fine. If he did switch to Australia then that would be his prerogative. As long he only rode as Australian from then on. Likewise with Rory. If he has dual citizenship and has switched to being a British rider then I don't see what the problem is as long as he sticks to GB only.
  3. It's not a speedway issue. What about Zola Budd? Basil D'Oliviera? I don't believe for one second that Rory's inclusion had anything to do with bums on seats. My assumption is that he has British citizenship but, for some reason, nobody seems to want to confirm if he has it. Likewise nobody seems to want to confirm whether or not Tai has Australian citizenship. Why doesn't someone just ask them this? Quite. You got there ahead of me.
  4. Schlein does have a British passport according to what others have posted here. If true, he qualifies to ride in the British Final using your own criteria. You can change your nationality. The question which nobody seems to answer if whether or not Rory Schlein has, and is now riding as a British rider, or if he is still technically an Aussie.
  5. So you agree that there's no problem Rory Schlein riding in the British Championship if he has residency and a British passport? Is there not one person out there who can just tell everyone, once and for all, if Rory has a British passport and Tai Woffinden has an Aussie one? It can't be that hard for a journalist in the sport to find out.
  6. There must be a reason he was able to conpete. I don't get why it wasn't just explained what that reason is.
  7. It wouldn't have been that difficult. All they had to say was that he has a British wife and citizenship (if that is the case) I'm surprised they didn't say that anyway.
  8. Klindt became the rider everyone wanted at the start of the season by being rubbish in the PL. Now Tungate becomes everyone's most wanted by being rubbish in the top flight. Basically, if you want to get signed up you need to be rubbish - but not rubbish enough to be TOTALLY rubbish.
  9. We are better than Rye, Leicester and Somerset. The others 4 are better than us and will be in the play-offs. Swap Tungate for Gappmaier. Same thing. Still better than those 3 and worse than the other 4. All we can hope for is to get some good home results to keep the locals happy. I think the signs are that if Adam scores a few we can do that.
  10. Don't let him get to you, Sidney. We all know he's really a Swindon fan on a wind up. If you take no notice he won't keep coming back. They have said that riders can be reassessed based on matches they have had so far, so maybe a few more meetings for Poole could see him assessed down to around 5. Time will tell. As far as Swindon not getting Tungate it's hardly a disaster. Yes, he would have strengthened the middle but we only need a few extra points here and there and we can get the home wins. The performance against Rye House was good. Zak is improving all the time and with Adam and BWD showing they can put in decent scores too it's not the end of the World. Strange, isn't it, how key these 5 pointers are. Before the season it was all about who signed Klindt. Now it's all about who signed Tungate.
  11. I believe Zengi is averaging about 4 for Poole at the moment. Maybe if he gets a few meetings in there we might be able to fit him in when KK comes back? How long is he in the Poole side for?
  12. No. He is 0.08 too high. This is the problem with speedway in this country. By doing well at Belle Vue, Sedgy has ridden himself out of a job. Rohan Tungate will go there, get double figures most weeks, and find that he, too, has probably ridden himself out of a job next year because of his inconsistent away form. At least we can have R/R for Gappmaier now, and cover his rides a bit better than before.
  13. To be fair, it wasn't a given right that we should have Rohan and knowing how well he goes at Belle Vue it's not really a surprise he would choose to ride there. I guess the real issue now, then, is whether or not Dany Gappmaier actually gets to ride in plenty of meetings. He does have potential when you look at his scores, but no point having him if he's not riding.
  14. Tungate is brilliant at Belle Vue even when he is poor everywhere else. Not surprising he would choose there if the opportunity comes up, although he might ride himself out of a team place for next year if he scores too much. Is Sedgy too high to fit in at Swindon?
  15. I've a feeling Jerzy Treszkowski was, technically, a Swede and riding on a Swedish license. the "proper" Pole at Swindon that year was Leonard Raba who did very little but then appeared on TV a few years later riding very well for the Polish team. Was in 1978 when all the allocated Poles came here? None of them really pulled up any trees. Boley Proch, at Reading, was probably the best, but he only came over after Blaszak was send home after being caught shop-lifting.
  16. Whenever the 4H4A matches averages come into effect.
  17. Doing a like-for-like change would be re-declaring. What's being said is that if the side re-declares, any rider who hasn't done 4H4A will be re-assessed.
  18. I've no idea what average Jorgensen is on, but surely he's been declared in the King's Lynn side on their original starting average. So, once their 4H4A average comes into effect, he stays on whatever average he is on, unless they re-declare, in which case he'd be assessed with a top flight average. I'm just going on Skidder's post, where it states that riders with less than 4H4A remain on their starting average unless the side re-declares. Maybe I'm missing something, but it seems straight forward to me. As stated, his average would be re-assessed if they wanted to re-declare.
  19. No it wasn't. Normally, when a programme over-runs, so does the recording. Clearly BT Sport doesn't do this, so in future it's something to remember to do, but it wasn't obvious at all.
  20. No. He'd be reasssessed to a Division One average if they wished to re-declare. I'm assuming he's been brought in on his Second Division average based on King's Lynn still being on their starting averages.
  21. I saw nothing wrong with the graphics to be honest. Maybe they were basic, but they gave out the required information and that is all that is required. Yes, so really good graphics might give a "wow" factor to the presentation if done well, but I'd rather have the basic information there than hae them try too hard and come up with some OTT graphics that become intrusive. I thought the coverage was fine, with the only negative being the panning to the winner crossing the finishing line while there was still a race for minor placings. Presentation was good. Much better to have knowledgeable interviewers than the Grand Prix interviewer who just asks everyone how they are feeling about whatever just happened.
  22. I think Steve Worrall is brilliant. It's great to see him do so well. When he was at Swindon as a draft rider all the talk was about Garrity and Newman, but he has surpassed both by a long way.
  23. It was the other way round. The two that had moved went straight back to the tapes and the two that stayed still hung around at the pits. As long as the 2 minutes in put on straight away I don't see a lot that can be done about it.
  24. My main problem was that the recording ended after 2 hours 30 minutes and didn't get the final. A few times the camera panned to the race winner crossing the line while there was still a race on for 2nd and 3rd. I've noticed this in some overseas productions of the Grand Prix too. Overall, though, it was very good. Yup.
  25. Best thing about that proposition is that the stated Swindon team would probably win it.
