Ole Olsen 1975 Peter Collins 1976 Ole Olsen 1978 Bruce Penhall 1981 Egon Muller 1983 Erik Gundersen 1985 Hans Nielsen 1987? (Amsterdam) I'm getting confused with years now! Erik Gundersen in Vojens Per Jonsson in Bradford. I think that's it, or did Erik win 2 in Bradford?

Ronnie Moore is the one rider I have any doubt about at all. I might possibly have seen him ride in my early speedway years, but I'm pretty sure I never.
-
As long as watching Ove Fundin ride in a Golden Greats meeting counts, it's everyone from 1966 (Briggo) onwards, with the exception of Jerzy S.
-
Maybe the BSPA wouldn't allow it and that's one of the reasons he got fed up with them.
-
I must say this is not something that had occurred to me but let's see.
-
Pretty sure they will, although not 100% certain. I think it's just 4h 4a as the point when the new averages take effect, but all matches are counted. A more likely change would be Tungate for Gappmaier if it fits, but Adam needs to get a decent score next time out and get above Zak. The "Ellis at reserve is a good thing" theory looks out the window, though. No use having Zak in the top 5 as he won't score there.

I've had a go at the averages - using Speedway Updates and my own possible shortcomings! It should be correct give or take a point or ride here and there! Doyle - 107/43 x 4 = 9.95 Morris - 98/44 x 4 = 8.91 Bellego - 72/39 x 4 = 7.38 Gappmaier - (assessed?) 4.00 (or would this be based on PL average?) Zak - 31/38 x 4 = 3.65 Ellis - 32/36 x 4 = 3.56 Wilson-Dean - 20/28 x 4 = 2.86 Total = 40.31 Going on these figures (open to correction), there is a big danger that Zak will move up into the top 5 after the next meeting, which must put BWD's poistion in doubt. Also interesting that it's Ellis who has been getting flak online but he's nearly a point above Bradley. At the moment we are 1.69 short of 42, which isn't much.
-
I would guess he has been doing that - or at least someone has. The thing is, maybe he was going on Adam Ellis on a 3 average and the guy goes and scored 7 at King's Lynn so nothing can be certain.
-
The problem isn't GP riders, it's riders being in more than one British league. Rosco doesn't know what the averages will be becuase we haven't had all the meetings yet.

Swindon V Somerset Bank Holiday Monday At 5.00
Grachan replied to keef robin's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Covers work. We've seen that at Swindon during a play-off semi-final where, apparently, there was one set of BSPA covers. Whatever happened to those? Swindon got to use these covers and Poole never - the result of which was Poole was called off and Swindon wasn't. -
Chris Holder Average Farce At Kings Lynn
Grachan replied to mudflaps's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I think Darcy's crash, plus his own, affected him a great deal. It also seemed to have an effect on Troy Bachelor and Nick Morris but they seem back on it this year. Chris, though, was probably his closet friend. -
The Riders Who Never Took Your Imagination Over The Years.?

And Martin Ashby in the 1975 British Final. One for me has to be Dave Jessup, who people often talk about as someone who could and should have been a World Champion but for me was always in the Wilson/Boocock/Ashby/Betts mould. Not that there's anything wrong with that of course, but many people elevate him higher than those. -
British Track Tour - Places, Faces & What You Remember

I remember aa trip to Belle Vue and walking along the side of the stadium, and all but one of the houses to my left had been demolished to piles of rubble. The one remaining house had someone living in it. -

Swindon's ham rolls in the main stand were nowhere near the Cheese and Onion rolls from the back straight! Heaps of raw onion in those crusty rolls I tells ya! Exeter - being over to lean over the fence as riders were coming towards you and looking into Ivan Mauger's eyes as he went past! Wimbledon - actual, proper toilets! And seeing the riders warming up in the car park as you drove in. Bristol - cars stopping on the Motorway hard shoulder to watch the racing. Riders going home due to the rough state of the sandy track. I also remember a uni-cyclist doing a lap of the track during an interval there. I only made one trip to Stoke, which was the day after Per Jonsson won the World Final in Bradford. I was amazed to find the cars parking on the bends. I remember chatting to a lady in the crowd and telling her I'd been to the World Final. She said she knew about it being on but had never heard of the lad that had won it. -
If he's not injured, how can you have a 28 day injury replacement? That's a bit confusing!
-
I'm sure Zengota will be very popular at Poole. He was voted rider of the year at both Coventry and Swindon. A quality rider.
-
Release Adam on a 3 point average and he'll be straight into the Poole side, I'll bet.
-
Online petition? I'd sign it.

Now that we have acsertained that Nick Morris and BWD are covered by the NL rider rule, I wonder if Zach is at risk leaving Bradley Wilson-Dean at reserve. It would be a shame if he is, because he has done his job at no 7.
-
Some are saying he was injured in heat 13, but maybe he would have ridden. If he didn't ride because Wolves had already won it's just further proof that the league points system of 3 for a home win regardless, is wrong. Let's not forget he'd already been 5-1'd in heat 13 though.
-
It was close. All 15 races count. They way Swindon's team is set up means all their strength is in heats 13 and 15, so we often get big points there. Are you saying the last 3 heats shouldn't count towards the score?
-
A decent enough result. Swindon's form at home and away seems to be identical! Adding just a bit more to the league points, I really wish they would bring back the 2 points for a homewin of 6 or less. I've seen Swindon matches where the away side has snatched a point in the final heat and, as a home fan, you really couldn't care less. Do any Wolves fans really care that Swindon scored a 5-1 in the last heat to get a point? Swindon scored an extra 2 from the tactical ride. That's just one extra point scored between the two riders mentioned, so it would have made a difference I'm sure. With regards to Lindgren in heat 15 - well, Nick and Jason would have done him again!
-
Unfortunately they don't lose a point, even though Swindon gain one. Another of their stupid changes. Wolves had no reason to worry about Swindon getting within 6.
-
Maybe we need a nice heavy defeat at Wolves! When changes are made will have a big effect on who goes. If we change before the 4+4 then Adam is most likely to get replaced, but if he gets his 3 average we will instantly get the standard of reserve we needed. So it seems we have plenty of leeway as far as NL is concerned, with BWD and Nick Morris also included, giving us 4.
