  1. Getting ready for the journey from Ipswich to Plymouth . Wee bit of a hangover after our draw at Ipswich , suppose we'll be back to r-r for Christian tonight after his nasty looking tumble last night
  2. No Shadders , that was purely a cost cutting measure dressed up as something positive . Ellis looked a much better rider in the same fixture at Glasgow , was surprised how poor both Ipswich reserves were last night . And while I'm delighted with a point , oh for that 5-1 we should have got in heat 14 though
  3. Had a ball tonight thanks to London Witch and my wee pal Badge who kept me going in ciggies . I love you Pat . Anyway , although we wuz robbed , I'll take the draw , was an awesome performance by God's septet . Tonight is a good night to be a Tigger .
  4. Me and my mate Willie are in a pub called " The Cricketers " across from a bus station . Do any buses go out near Foxall ?
  5. On the train from Ely to Ipswich now . Where do you and Baldyman stand , Super Blue ? . Any word who is guesting at reserve for us tonight ?
  6. Of course I will . I will be on the first bend anyway , so I'll look out for you Badge . Stayed in Kings Lynn last night , just woke up and it looks like it's going to be a scorcher today .
  7. It's a bit of a slog , but we had Devils fans at Glasgow , so i better repay the compliment . See you on Friday Plymouth
  8. I'll start the thread then . I'll catch up with some of youse Witches on Thursday night . My first visit since 2011 when we won 48-42 . Can we repeat that ? Probably not , but i hope we can keep it close
  9. Certainly the best i've ever seen at that level
  10. A lot of team building is pot luck , and we cant all get it right . Look at Edinburgh when they signed a 3 pointer in Steve Worrall , who could have predicted the turnaround in his career . The " there's nobody out there " argument is probably right . Nobody affordable and nobody who will give you much more than what you have , and certainly nobody who'll transform your season
  11. And that thread wasn't anti- Edinburgh , at least it shouldn't have been But there's no need for an apology , i thrive on bickering on here haha
  12. What time do schoolkids go to bed these days ? Surely most kids are back home by 10 o clock after a home speedway meeting
  13. 1970's Coatbridge . I used to stand on the back straight with this lassie Heather , whit a pair she had . A 16 year old's dream
  14. And to think this is the guy who said i had a chip on my shoulder . We're into potato croquet country now . I actually started that thread as a tribute to the Monarchs' achievement , comparing them to the best 2nd tier side in the last 25 years . But hey hoh .
  15. Are you trying to say it's overkill haha . Still 2 more league meetings at Armadale and one at Ashfield to go . If you get past Berwick and we somehow overcome Newcastle , then that will be another two meetings in the KO Cup , and they can go to replays . So can we quietly shuffle the Scottish Cup into cold storage this season ?
  16. Aye we are . You are annoyingly good most seasons , while we are .................well just not as annoyingly good mostly . Still i think we closed the gap a bit yesterday , and if we are at full strength whenever the next league match at Ashfield is , then you never know
  17. I think the point is , how do we replace the over 50's over the next 10 or 20 years
  18. Didn't quite reach the entertainment value of the Plymouth meeting the week before , but it was still a pretty good match . Obviously it's never nice to lose to the Monarchs , especially at home , but they are a solid outfit and there was still reason to be proud of the Tigers' performance in the meeting . Sooner we get back to full strength the better though .
