Woffinden needed the laps after all his exclusions . Barker is out of his depth , we need the cool head and calmness , for the race off , only Lewis Bridger can provide . -

Well after that , it's onto Kings Lynn . With Russia now badly understrength and the Czechs not really up to it , it's down to either Team GB or Poland . The outcome will really depend on whether the Poles want a run-out at Gorzow on Thursday or not . The race-off is also usually poorly attended without the home country , so that might have a bearing as well . -
i'm still trying to work out what underminging means

I'm no expert , but i'm sensing you're upset .

Thank goodness for that , some of the stuff that was getting said on Facebook last night had me fearing the worst . Hope the lad makes a speedy recovery .

I understand the point you were making , but there's a lot of patronising gits on this forum . -

There was a fair few scuffles that broke out , mainly between Edinburgh fans when it was one of them to buy a round at £4 a pint . -

Yes i know , it was always against us . Well thought of Shadders . That comparison is spot on . -

Maybe so , but i was thinking more of the British GP as a speedway spectacle rather than an event held in a stadium as wonderful as the Millennium stadium . While the British GP is the jewel in the GP circuit facilities wise , as a speedway spectacle - it's right up there with the Cumberland Classic . -

Artists impressions i saw of the new Leicester track looked exciting , sadly that has turned out to be far from the case in reality . With a blank canvas to work from , and the importance of getting it right - then if they open the new Manchester venue with a Leicester/Newcastle type circuit - then they want shooting . We so badly need a Bydgoszcz/Leszno type set-up in this country . A purpose built stadium with a spacious and exciting race track . The people behind the Manchester project dare not mess it up . -

Let's hope this new Manchester stadium is all we hope it will be . Then we could retain Cardiff as the showpiece event , and have a 2nd GP in Manchester with proper speedway racing on a Hyde Road type track . -

Cardiff is all about the atmosphere , which is brilliant from early morning till late at night . The whole weekend is the highlight of any speedway fan's year . The Pairs at Somerset is fantastic , the next day you have the Cardiff experience ( if only it had a proper speedway track ) , and then if only Newport could run a league match instead of that god-awful Welsh Open - the weekend would be perfect . -

5 years the Pairs has now been at Somerset , and no matter what the British weather throws at it - it has never disappointed . It's a far superior meeting entertainment wise than the British GP . -

It has to stay at Cardiff . Apart from the obvious black marks against the Millennium Stadium , over-officious stewards and £4 a pint , Cardiff is still the perfect place to spend the day after the PL Pairs . True the speedway itself is tame when compared to the Pairs , but it would be unfair on the Somerset trackstaff to have to prepare their wonderful track twice in two days . Cardiff is only an hour down the road and a convenient substitute . -

Maybe i'm just getting old and hard to please , but i thought it was a pretty tame and dull affair . The PL Pairs at Somerset 24 hours earlier was a much more entertaining meeting . -
Me and George will need to pay the City Arms a visit then . I'm quite partial to real ale , though the wee man only drinks that lager muck . So that's the City Arms , POW , Walkabout and Queen's Vaults in our pub crawl . Any more suggestions ?

Is everyone heading for the Prince of Wales on Saturday ? Or is the BSF meet up a thing of the past now ?

No Laguta At Cardiff ?

Exactly , plus he could claim a few bob to top up his earnings after getting zero points . -

No great loss , he's even more out of his depth in the GP's than Tai Woffinden was last year . -
Polish Extraleague Rnd 6 Sunday 22nd May
Paulco replied to racers and royals's topic in International World of Speedway
Surely the better meetings are in Division 1 , where Polonia Bydgoszcz travel up to Gdansk and Gniezno make the short trip over to Poznan .
