Plymouth has a hell of a lot going for it . Ok geographically it's a bit out of the road , but so are we . For travelling visiting fans , there's a Travel Inn about 5 minutes walk from the track ( through the Sainbury's car park ) . We were on the 3rd/4th bend the night Glasgow were there and the viewing was fine , even though there was a decent sized crowd in . All you need is a bar with draught beer on , instead of just a hut selling cans and you'll be sorted . I don't normally like wee small tracks as a rule , but the track produced good racing that night - so no complaints on that score either .

Morris would still put a point and a half at least on that average next season , especially should Ipswich indeed turn out to be his destination . His form round there on his 3 visits last season was nothing short of spectacular . Morris , Heeps , Poole and Tungate would be an exciting prospect lining up in the same side . Not so sure about Doolan and Risager though .

It did happen years ago with Ole Olsen , when it was rider control . Think it was Wolves he was told to go to , but he refused as he wanted to go to Coventry .

We realise it's not a dig at Glasgow , and we all realise Nick Morris will be riding his speedway away from Possilpark next year . We have no problem where he ends up , and i'm sure the club that signs him and our promotion will be able to thrash out a deal to suit both parties . The only problem we have in the condescending way Snackette puts forward his arguement . He might well be right , but he's so smug i just pray he isn't .

Yup , think i'd go with Tsunami too , who has considerably more experience in these matters than the editor of the Speedway Star .

Kudos if it's true , but i thought you had to have FIM status to get these types of meeting . But i hope it's true , it will be awesome . -
Yup , better off where you are . I can , sadly , see another winter of discontent coming up in Planet Lala . The PL should actually have a seperate conference .
-
We say this every season though Badge . Too many wee tight tracks nowadays and the bikes are too powerful for them .

I love the rolling averages . Nick Morris started the season on something like 4.67 , he's banged in double-figure scores home and away all season and he's now only at 5.02 and still at reserve . All hail the rolling averages .

Nick Morris has dual nationality . Possibly a couple of years away from World Cup level , but he'd be worth persuading Blighty is the better option . -
Yup , and without Richardson and Nicholls , England will be lucky to score about 15 .

Yes , but KKS's source might be his Harry Potter action figure . -

The Poles would have beat us no matter where it was held , they never got out of second gear last night . -

Tai has previous for this behaviour in interviews though . In a televised PL meeting at Edinburgh , while guesting for Workington , he claimed a Monarchs rider had " rode like a girl " after the ref had excluded Tai for causing the Monarchs rider to come off . While that was pretty amusing , calling fellow riders girls , or women or sisters etc isn't really the most clever thing you can do and it shows a lack of respect for the opposition riders . -

Whilst i admire your optimism , i fear there is more chance of us ending up like America than catching the Poles and Danes . I worry what the future holds once Harris , Richardson and Nicholls are no longer about . Kennett , Bridger and Barker are ok , but not in the same league as the likes of Hampel , Holder , Lindgren , Bjerre - who are the next standard bearers of their respective nations . Whilst Woffinden's progress seems to have stalled . -

No , i think most of us who jumped in with our size nines whilst not being in full posession of the facts and making prats of ourselves , have since seen the error of our ways . -

I have to agree with you . Sadly we are now quite a fair bit behind the speedway world's super-powers , and that doesn't look like changing any time soon . Whether it was Middlo or Sir Alex Ferguson in the pits last night , it wouldn't have made a blind bit of difference . -

That is very true , but unfortunately this year looks a penalty kick for Sweden and Australia . -

I apologise , not following EL speedway too closely , i had no idea Sophie Blake had been in hospital . Sorry folks . -

Trouble with Screeny at the moment is that he's riding through the pain barrier with tendonitis in his elbow . He's not even doing heat 15's in league matches unless it's absolutely necessary . So , no , he'd probably not be too keen . He probably would be as effective as Bridger though but , sad as it is , Bridger is one of the best of the next generation ( god help us ) and for him to progress at all , at international level , he needs to be in the side . -

Why can Nicholls go to Poland every Sunday to ride for Start Gniezno without any fuss , but it's a major problem this Thursday . Richardson has come in for a bad press over his decision to miss this year's event . He obviously has his reasons , and was always one of our best riders in previous years - so it's unfortunate he chose to sit out this year . -

Don't go there , we've more important stuff going on at Somerset and Rye House this weekend .
