Well done Birmingham. Great to see Kenny have a good meeting after a tough season for him so far. He’s such a talent but his progress has stalled somewhat this year. Maybe not the best move for him.

Not a great meeting tbh but the NSS very high standards but to be fair, very hot day and that will have affected the track. Belle Vue very comfortable. Makes the bonus interesting next week.

You don’t think Doyle is struggling with injury? Interesting. Jenkins needs to take time out. Was already injured and now made it worse. He’s doing himself no favours by trying to ride through it. Dan’s clutch issues hasn’t helped either obviously

Never looked in doubt from heat two onwards. Very comfortable for the Aces. Top three too much to deal with.

Well yes of course, everyone from Ipswich including the team manager is making it all up obviously. The whole team is 100% fit and firing 🙄

48-42 Lidsey drops few home points along with the top two. Those three will see them home as only Emil will realistically trouble them. Doyle isn’t fit but even if he were, he’s lacked pace here for a few years now. Still traps well but gets swallowed up quite quickly.

SHOULD be a routine away victory but will make a prediction nearer the time. Riders have a few meetings to negotiate first.

Emil seems to be following the same path as last year. Took a while to get going in both Poland and here last year with mechanical issues and the same has happened this year. Something seems to click mid-season though when he’s suddenly riding a rocket ship! Brennan is also showing good signs of a return to form after suffering a dip. Has had good recent meetings both here and Poland.

Tall order to repeat the cup success here with the team still undercooked as the manager points out in the preview. Just need to keep ticking.along until the riders get back to full fitness so anything close enough to get the bonus at Foxhall will do. It’s not important to finish top as we all know, but it’s still nice to do so.

That fourth bend is the one that has been given the most increased banking and you can see it working brilliantly here. Ellis too has used that fourth bend by the fence to good effect in recent meetings too

He did you’re correct. Last he spoke about it a couple of months ago,he was struggling with timelines to get the riders competing in the actual event, and the experienced top class riders who he wants to attend also, to all be there at the same time. He wants the likes of Doyle and Emil there to help the youngsters and give them advice. He was working hard on a resolution to get all the pieces of the jigsaw together. Haven’t heard anything since.

For what it’s worth, Dean machine is correct what he’s saying here about changes this winter. People will be sceptical, fair enough. But in Chris Louis’ report after last winters AGM, he also alluded to there being the major changes from next season, “drastic” changes. We’ll just have to wait and see what those are.

Of course they won’t know them! And that will simply be because they’re not speedway people, obviously. The target will be to entice back those that are 50/50 about going, used to go and still follow it from afar. The crowd have 100% increased at Foxhall since Doyle and Emil have been in the team, that is undeniable.

IF stay fit. Is, and always was the best team in the league. Hopefully this time the best team lifts the trophy.

Don’t think it was a coincidence that leading up to that Sheffield meeting, after a bone dry Spring where there seemed to be blue grooves at most places, we had a fair bit of heavy rain the days proceeding that meeting. That resulted in an excellent race track that provided plenty of entertainment. Unfortunately since then, we’ve had a bit of a drought again! Warm weather and little rain means it’s incredibly hard to get enough water down in to the track before it evaporates. Could have done with a downpour or two today..

All of the above will be in full use later. We know the drill by now.

Hopefully Danny isn’t too badly hurt and takes his place in this meeting. He’s been riding consistently well this year so it’ll be a big shame if he’s sidelined. IF he misses the meeting, R/R should cover him ok with Brennan, Ellis and the reserves taking an extra ride.
