With Jenkins in there it wouldn’t have been far off the rout from earlier in the season! More evidence of the extra banking working especially bend four. King used it to great effect a few times, similar to line Emil took a few weeks ago. Working a treat. King was fantastic. Aggressive and very very fast. You could see what that performance meant to him after heat 15! Full marks to the track staff as well, they got it spot on today. No blue groove and that’s because it was heavily watered which made conditions heavy and a bit tricky early on, but that had to be done on such a hot day.

Blue groove weather this. Wouldn’t be surprised to see it return this evening.

The team manager wouldn’t have made a jot of difference. He’s driven, simple as that really. You could argue he doesn’t have the talent of those other world champions, but what he has in abundance, is guts, determination and will to win that the likes of Cameron Heeps (sorry to say it, for all the talent he has/had), just doesn’t have. Admire him, we all should.

Christ some of you Lynn fans are a massive bunch of offended wimps. Grow a backbone ffs 🙄 he’s simply mentioned Lynn because you’re the only ones swapping out your rising star on a match by match basis so he rightly mentioning Kings Lynn to make his point! 🙄

That’s just him though isn’t it. He’s all in whether team or individual event. That’s just his mindset and the way he’s wired. You have to accept that when you sign him. It’s part of his charm IMO.

Not quite sure why everyone is struggling with this. Lynn are a perfect example. Declaring and re-declaring their side containing different RS’s whenever it suits. Ipswich are without their current rising Star, so they can choose another rising Star that isn’t currently declared in another teams 1-7. Where’s the confusion? For what it’s worth I’ve NEVER liked the crock of sh!te that is the rising Star scheme. You have the NDL and Championship to develop riders. When they’re good enough, they’ll naturally get their chance in the top flight (whilst it’s there). As for preferential picks in order of which position teams finished in a totally different season, don’t get me started on that farce!

Hawkins is right there. When you look at the Oxford side they don’t look a bad side at all so a few riders have underperformed. They’ve all had good meetings, but unfortunately for Oxford very few have had them at the same time. Doyle has filled his boots with two huge scores in Poland and Sweden, so absolutely no excuses now. He needs to put in a match winning score at Oxford after the tripe he served up at Belle Vue.

Not so sure I think they’ve got every chance personally. Yes they’ll have some passengers, but I think the top three will have a point to prove away from the NSS and will have a determination to see it through. They certainly won’t be as bad as last time that’s impossible.

He’s winding you up Gav don’t bite. I’m sure Ouch is his alter ego, sensible reasonable Mike, Troll Ouch, but sometimes the mask slips..

We’ll get closer than that in the B fixture here. The reserves won’t have a night like tonight again. More than confident of beating anyone over two legs all things being equal.

Well done Birmingham. Great to see Kenny have a good meeting after a tough season for him so far. He’s such a talent but his progress has stalled somewhat this year. Maybe not the best move for him.

Not a great meeting tbh but the NSS very high standards but to be fair, very hot day and that will have affected the track. Belle Vue very comfortable. Makes the bonus interesting next week.

You don’t think Doyle is struggling with injury? Interesting. Jenkins needs to take time out. Was already injured and now made it worse. He’s doing himself no favours by trying to ride through it. Dan’s clutch issues hasn’t helped either obviously

Bonus point the order of the day. Need no more than a 10 point defeat.

Never looked in doubt from heat two onwards. Very comfortable for the Aces. Top three too much to deal with.
