  1. Not convinced you’ll see rising stars next year personally.
  2. I enjoyed the meeting too. Thought it was a decent watch. Fricke the best rider in the league currently. Really like him too seems like a decent down to earth fella so good for him. Still if some got their way, he’s another they’d happily punt out of British Speedway to get one league speedway..🙄
  3. Might be, but doubtful at the moment. As Hawkins says in the preview above, since the injury wobble we haven’t got close to getting back to our early season form yet when we were blitzing everyone out of sight at Foxhall. Hopefully that comes back by play off time!
  4. https://ipswichwitches.co/raceday-guide-birmingham-h-2/ Six heat second half.
  5. Ok, let’s get rid of the quality we do have, and let everybody have mediocre teams and equally sh!t attendances for the sake of equality and “credibility”. Terrific strategy. Ban the GP stars, problems solved!
  6. And yet the biggest cheer of the season apparently was when your GP star Fricke came from 15 metres to win on the line in spectacular fashion. I’m sorry but you ain’t getting that kind of star quality from the Thompson’s or even Ryan Douglas. How people are happy to see these riders depart is beyond me.
  7. Yes is the simple answer. Dan left enough room for a double decker bus and Kerr went through it. There were several people up in the box and every single one of us knew that it was over as soon as Dan hit the deck and that he was getting excluded. There really is no argument to be had here. The only slight doubt was that the referee might be a “Homer” and wrongfully exclude Kerr.
  8. Totally agree, and it was an error on Dan’s part. Such a shame because after a poor night, you could see the determination to do it for his team in that heat and he done fantastically well to overtake Kerr in the first instance.
  9. Exactly as I saw it BB. For anyone with a good memory, it was almost identical to the incident at the NSS a few seasons ago when Doyle came steaming under Bewley and Bewley dropped it. On that occasion the ref got it wrong and excluded Doyley, this time the ref got it spot on IMO.
  10. It’s YOU who has the rose tinted glasses on Buttons. Not only was there no contact, it wasn’t even close! I probably had the best view in the house for this incident. Up in the VIP box between first and second bend thanks to Arch. Fact is, Dan passed Kerr up the inside going up the back straight. That then took him wide around bends three and four. Kerr then came steaming down the inside of Dan down the home straight, Dan saw him coming through, panicked and laid it down. I hope this heat gets replayed via rerun so everyone can see. If I’ve got it wrong, I’ll hold my hands up. Pretty sure I haven’t though.
  11. Haven’t had a chance to read through the latest, but there was absolutely nothing wrong with Kerr’s move. Dan done exceptionally well to get past Kerr, but Kerr then came down hard, but fair to reclaim the place. What a week for Lynn, and fair bloody play. Superb in both meetings and fully deserved victories.
  12. One league isn’t happening. Forget about it.
  13. Just looked at the rider averages comparison between Emil’s first year here in 2023, and this year so far. Away from home in 2023, 10.95 with a GSA of 10.36. This year so far, 8.00, GSA 7.26. That is some drop off in just two years!
  14. Crazy to say it considering how good they’ve been, but we no longer have the top end strength away from home. Still fine at Foxhall, but the top two have consistently disappointed away from home this year. Age and injury catching up with them I’m afraid. Fair play to Kings Lynn. 8 points down that was a superb fight back and fully deserved win.
  15. It doesn’t. Lawson, Harris, Kvech and Klindt is more than sufficient to cover Iversen. You could argue is strengthens them looking at the form or Iversen and his replacements. The Cook situation is an issue for them though. Lambert hasn’t been riding well so that’s definitely a weak link for them.
  16. If you want to be pedantic tellboy, ONE person said may have tweaked his shoulder, but it was in response to YOU putting the doubt out there because he didn’t take his last ride, and Bald Bloke doubting the proposed line up is correct so there’s more than one of you fanning the doubting flames. The fact only Birmingham aren’t riding and guests will be hard to come by makes me suspicious Buster is trying to cook something up. Look, I enjoy my visits to Lynn and despite the stick the racing gets these days, I always find even the most ordinary meetings there mildly entertaining. There’s three of us travelling up tomorrow but the fact I won’t be confident the meeting will actually take place until late afternoon despite there being no threat of rain, speaks volumes! Let’s all hope the concerns are for nothing, and the meeting takes place with the proposed line ups.
  17. I’m always nervous that a Lynn fixture is going to be called off when I’m making plans to attend. You lot are making it worse by saying one of your important riders “tweaked” his shoulder. Looks like Buster can’t find a forecast with a drop of rain in it this time, so maybe the Moles have dug up the track?
  18. It’ll be the same team. After all, we keep being told Belle Vue are the pillars of the Speedway community, only do things for the benefit of the sport and their riders, so they won’t be dumping any of their riders on to the scrap heap obviously. Besides, they don’t need to make any changes. AceBelle was constantly telling everyone that THEY actually had the best team and were favourites, so no changes are necessary. And to add to that, what on earth is the point of making changes when the whole thing is completely meaningless and winning the title is worthless? Isn’t that right Mike??
  19. I see this from you a lot, Mike/Ouch is similar. Just goes to show the mouthy miserable minority on here don’t translate to what actually exists on the terraces. I’m sure you’d say that it was completely meaningless that Ipswich snatched the bonus point last night seeing as they’re already guaranteed a play off place. So what difference does the extra point make? Well to those there last night it meant something. The atmosphere in the closing races when the 5-1’s were coming and the bonus point was secured in the final heat was excellent. The crowd were fully aware of what was needed due to the excellent presenter Kevin keeping everyone up to speed, and the roar when the presenter confirmed the bonus point had been secured spoke volumes. I guess the likes of Birmingham and Oxford and probably Lynn are now all riding meaningless meetings so may as well now just forfeit their remaining fixtures and we’ll just fast forward to the play offs and we can all have an early finish this year? After all these are only meaningless “qualifiers”. Never known such a negative bunch of grumpy b@stards that follow a particular sport like we seem to have with this one. We have Lynn on Monday, I’m pretty sure their supporters won’t see it as meaningless if they do a number again on their Suffolk rivals. Life is short, enjoy every meeting while you can and savour any victory the team you support manages to get, whether your team is at the top of the table or rock bottom.
  20. Same for Emil. Would expect far more from him when push comes to shove play off time.
  21. Heat 12 Kurtz made the gate with Lidsey but he didn’t look particularly great there. Thompson put him under huge pressure for a couple of laps and nearly got him at one point before the Aces pair were comfortable by the end and Thompson’s challenge ended. &nbsp Heat 14 was a great race. Cook was quite aggressive and tried to barge Thompson out the way a couple of times and showed good speed, but Dan held firm and refused to give up second place. Gave Cook a stare after the race finished
  22. https://ipswichwitches.co/raceday-guide-kings-lynn-a-3/ We should be winning this really. Coming here in much better shape than previous visits and it’s a good track for a lot of our riders. Interesting switch of riding order moving Emil to three and Brennan to five.
