50 years ago a Coventry chap with the initials 'C.O.' would have sorted out the above Poole shenanigans ..... now some would consider another 'C.O.' is "developing" into a greater threat to Poole Speedway?

I appreciate social distancing can be achieved on the terraces at most tracks. However in the event of rain during the meeting, the crowd migration to getting 'under cover' takes over. Most tracks have a bar / viewing area that could get crammed if rain gets heavier. Would the spectators have to 'sign in' when entering the Bar? Thoughts.?

Now you've broken the ice on this topic...... Can I recommend the trip includes :- 1) A visit to see where the Baden-Powell statue used to be. 2) A cruise round Poole Harbour which my Dad says was where the Japs bombed the harbour and led to the Yanks joining in on WWII.

Once the hour changes at the end of October it makes it more likely the travelling to the Speedway is in darkness and certainly colder. Not the best recipe for getting a crowd in.

When I was logging the start time of meetings I've attended Wolves would have the first race starting at 7:40pm. I remember Swindon had a period when the parade was prior to 7:30pm and first race started at 7:30pm.

A few years back when I was watching the speedway at Auburn in California they started with three heats of quad bike racing. The track coped with that and possibly helped the grading.

Coming in a bit late to this topic. From a Wolves perspective I had utmost respect for Nigel Boocock. He was unbeatable round the Green in the late 60's. Then Norman Hunter came along and beat him three times in one night. He became a top Wolf that night. So sad that damn meeting in Prestatyn happened. Nowadays (until C-19 happened) I get the chance to take the dogs to Barkby beach and drive right past the Holiday Camp where the track was. Shame Pontlditz wasn't built earlier.
