  1. Looks like Poole are the Man Utd of speedway after all? Both going downwards. Seriously though can a Wednesday PL race night be negotiated? It might help King''s Lynn as well.
  2. I like to support a team that I can fully associate with as Wolves. So no problems with Jacob Thorssell & Luke Becker. My issue is that the other five also rode for Edinburgh, Leicester, Sheffield, Somerset & Somerset!!! I appreciate / reluctantly accept that this is unlikely to be solved in the near future. So at least keep the same seven. Just don't put them out on a wet track
  3. How about having the PSC it's a Knock Out and swap the remaining qualifiers in a home & away.... So. Wolves vs. Poole & P'borough vs. K. Lynn. Better crowds all round
  4. Your judgment was correct! The fabulous reception / homecoming for Wolves riders is now cancelled. Speedway bingo now sees this Sunday's meeting (s) cancelled / moved back a week... and the prestigious Olympique cancelled / moved back five months. What dates can we expect to see on the respective programme covers???
  5. From Wolves end. Drizzle from Strensham, windscreen wipers needed for 10 mins at Birdlip. Now bone dry in Cricklade.... well on the outside..... throat getting lubricated
  6. As a travelling Wolves fan I think it would be best if Swindon rode at home to Ipswich in the 1st leg of the final tonight. We could then drive to Cricklade, have a few beers, turn around and head home.
  7. If it doesn't then consideration must be given to running this semi after the final has been completed.
  8. If successful against Swindon are we really going to see home fixtures on Sunday and Monday coming? What's the risk of poor track recovery after the Sunday double header? Thoughts???
  9. Nope.... that clashes with Wolves vs. P'Borough, also in the PSC. The crowds will go there to see who guests for Wright and who ever else is doubling up etc.
  10. Could Ipswich stage a home leg of the final this Saturday 12 Oct? This would allow Wolves to have 2nd leg on Mon 14th or Swindon to use Thur 17 Oct??
  11. Would the winners of this tie insist on having the 2nd leg of the final at their home track? Or does BT's schedule call the tune?
  12. Hang on ..... Sam Masters is currently Wolves #1 ... and is likely to get a Premiership winners medal... So it's true... there's a Scottish League & an English League after Brexit on Oct 31st. Is that what backstop means???
  13. I knew getting the back straight bogs listed status would come good.
  14. If we had still been on 2 valve JAP''s and no dirt deflectors would the meeting have gone ahead?
  15. Generally I've looked at BBC Weather Web site before travelling to away meetings. Following a forum discussion a few months ago I added XC Weather and found this to be a very good indicator of predicted and actual rain fall. From a Wolves viewpoint I've always felt the Abbey has its own eco-system!!! Sunshine at Birdlip doesn't mean it's dry in Blunsdon etc. What's the view of fans local to the track?
  16. Why not. Not far off British League in the sixties! Variety is the spice of life
  17. Wow... we could have guests and r/r.... just like real League speedway
  18. We're playoffs earlier when there was an October GP in Australia?
  19. As long as they beat Cradley Tiddlyw*nkers then it sounds okay by me!!!
  20. Could a team that finishes fourth from bottom really win a League Title??? Name that Sport???
  21. Fingers crossed that Jensen, Schlein & Morris come through tonight and tomorrow''s fixtures without injury...... Oh ... and that rain stays away
  22. Does this result mean that Poole now have a spare date that they can run their round of the British Youth Championship on?
  23. Not sure. But I've heard there is a special edition of the book on sale in the Cradley area that includes a set of crayons. This will let the Spoons fans colour the pictures of the tattoo's in.
