  1. Hard to win with 1 heat leader at home. 6 between Howarth in place of Charles and a hugely disappointing Riss was never going to be enough. Fair play to the others for at least battling. Probably would have been a much bigger win for Oxford if the first few heats hadn’t been ridden on a very wet track. They adapted much better (with the help of better gate positions) when the track dried a bit. Credit to Oxford they deserved their win. A damp squib in every sense.
  2. If I had any thoughts of purchasing the stream, they’ve gone now looking at that line up.
  3. Pretty poor that neither team has any details on their website the day before the fixture. Can sort of understand Redcar as we have a home fixture tonight but surprised that there is nothing on the Tigers website.
  4. No idea how the Bears will line up tomorrow or who is available or not. Expect a comfortable home win.
  5. I’ve not forgotten but the people who arranged and agreed to the fixture appear to have.
  6. I can’t see may Bears fans bothering with the stream in the circumstances. To keep up with the spirit of it, I’ll see if I can get a guest to watch it for me instead.
  7. Not appalling, just ridiculous given the facts.
  8. Connor Bailey is now riding for Wrocław in the grand final which means he will miss the National League Riders Championship at Workington on the 24th. I expect you’ll be calling for a ban?
  9. I’ll see if @Redtruck fancies entering the World Passive Aggressive Pairs Championship next year. If that’s ok with you?
  10. Yes, been explained a few times already on the thread.
  11. Well the only negative posts I’ve seen about Charles from a follower of Redcar have come from you. The people who’ve agreed with you on here aren’t Redcar supporters. The Redcar fans I’ve spoken to, and the response on Redcars social media, has been supportive of him.
  12. I expected people to support Tarasenko on this thread but didn’t expect to see the Ukrainian regime attacked. Daily Mail is fair game though.
  13. Sedgmen guesting at Glasgow & Oxford and at home to Glasgow. Howarth guesting at home v Oxford.
  14. But you singled out Glasgow for criticism, not the governing body? That’s the main reason you’re getting criticised for your post.
  15. Is he full Russian or assessed Russian? Surely you should be having a go at Peterborough too? And Ipswich for signing Emil Sayfutdinov? Singling out Glasgow seems strange. Find it hard to hold a citizen of a country responsible for the actions of its Government, I certainly wouldn’t want to be held responsible for the shower we have governing this country.
  16. Gave up on a club? What a ridiculous statement. The vast majority of Redcar fans and the management of Redcar speedway would say that’s tosh. He took advantage of an opportunity to ride in the top league in the world and circumstances (injury to Woffy) meant he was called up to a meeting on a day when Redcar had a meaningless (in terms of the play offs) fixture. Some Bears fans have already set up a go fund me for him, so they don’t think he’s “given up” on Redcar. Yes it’s awful timing for the Bears (and Belle Vue) but that’s insignificant compared to his health, He’s suffered some horrific injuries and is likely to be in hospital for some time. If you’ve seen the crash you’ll see it’s nothing to do with his riding style and just a speedway accident. Get well soon Charles, a brilliant servant to Redcar speedway.
  17. Quite ironic we are now trying to assess what a loophole is …..
  18. I think it’s a loophole because the same rider wouldn’t have been available on the assessed average just a few days later. He’s ridden in the UK for a couple of months, in a higher league and is averaging 1.45 more in that league than his assessed average. Glasgow fans getting very defensive about it as if I’m saying Glasgow are at fault. I’m not, it’s the rule that’s at fault.
  19. “Obviously daft interpretation” sums it up I think.
  20. Yes is the answer. Especially if it was Poole. The issue is that Vlad has ridden over here for a few months and is averaging over a point more than 5 in the higher league, so the loophole allowed a team (Glasgow) in this case to sign him, just before he got his real average. The rule is clearly wrong and needs addressing.
