Totally agree with this point. I hate to see winners just return to the pits. I can understand it if they’ve got a quick turnaround to their next outing or if there’s a mechanical issue but otherwise they should accept the appreciation of the crowd. Sensible statement from Danny Ford.

Yes I know…but in my opinion Ashton tends to streak ahead more than most when he gates….or has done when I’ve seen him.

If this had been mooted earlier in the season, I would have been over the moon about the prospect of him signing for Glasgow but having seen some of his performances at the end of the season and the discussions about him “shutting off” in tight situations, I’m not so sure. Can be untouchable when he gates though.
