I can only agree with this, the track was a disgrace and the referee not much better, he let a few fliers go last night and whatever he was thinking in heat four when Hume locked up heaven alone knows. Sayfutdinov, Doyle and King were excellent for Ipswich and Lambert and Pickering did their best for Sheffield but Holder was appalling and the rest of the riders couldn’t handle the track. As a viewing spectacle it was complete rubbish and that’s the biggest problem, for a showpiece final it was an utter disgrace.

We use similar materials and our racing has been affected as well.

It’s Interesting that stock cars gets good crowds at Foxhall and The Norfolk Arena, perhaps the stock car racing is good, I wish I could say that about the speedway at both venues but let’s be honest its generally pretty poor and has been for decades.

It appears to me that the FIM want all of the riders to go through the WC qualifiers and to be fair if they did it would make for a better quality field and avoid this sort of scenario of riders in the series that haven’t really got a hope, Lebedevs, Huckenbeck and Kvech are well out of their depth at this level.

I haven’t seen anything about the wildcard or the reserves for Torun, is it me or is the FIM GP website awful, I haven’t read anything that states Kubera is the wildcard although obviously I take your word Tim that it is him.

Belle Vue certainly lost this tie in the first leg at Ipswich, a good comeback but it was to big a deficit compounded by a poor start at home.

The racing was pretty non existent as it generally is at Foxhall, it was all starts and first corners, after that it was pretty much follow the leader. Ipswich appeared to show more interest than Belle Vue and the result of the tie is all but over, biggest smile of the night was reserved for Ritchie Hawkins whose moustache made him look like a old style cowboy.

Niether, both tracks are crap

To be fair it was a shambles from start to finish Zmarzliks disqualification was the first but then we had commentators who clearly didn’t know the rules (not for the first time) a complete failure to provide heat results and then the complete farce of Basso being awarded second then third and back to second again. But the main gripe was the track which was as slick as a baby’s bum (not for the first time at Vojens) which was clearly overwatered at times and offered very little overtaking opportunities although managing to actually stay on the bike was apparently challenging towards the end of the meeting. I have never been to Vojens and to be fair it’s never been high on my bucket list but really the speedway there is bloody awful and one wonders why it was packed last night because it’s pretty much the same every time.

It’s quite expensive and clearly the SCB have a budget, sounds like it was done thoroughly and correctly, if he hasn’t taken anything illegal he has nothing to worry about.

Because it means 3 points are available for each match and 2 points for a draw for the away side is a reasonable reward for getting close to a victory on an away track.

What cost you was a bottom four that rarely scored enough points to back up a very good top three. You were too top heavy

Absolutely no problem with 3 Pts for a win, 2 Pts for an away draw, 1 Pt for a home draw and 0 Pts for a loss. The superheat is a real waste of money and really only benefits a team with two real big hitters, now remind me who thought it up.
