  1. It does seem odd that they changed the criteria after not following it when Crump retired.
  2. Have to say I agree, as it stands every point has to be earned and finishing first or second in the semi finals gives everyone the chance to gain more in the final. And no more big gaps between riders in the overall totals, keeps the series alive for longer.
  3. Awful meeting racing wise but then Terenzano always is, very pleased for Iversen as he earned his first GP win and Woffinden rode well all night.
  4. The actual final was fairly absorbing to see it played out, but the track was truly awful (as it is every year) and the referee was worse. I thought the Danish team manager cocked it up with his choices for the last 4 races, dreadful decision to put MJJ in the last heat and not being on the ball to see what the consequences were in heats 15 & 16. Crowd was better than the race off but still didn't look half full.
  5. As you say whilst they allocate the British u21 and main Final to tracks like Lakeside and Wolverhampton nothing will change, it might be a good idea to stage the British Final at Lynn especially if its where GB race in a 2014 SWC round. Some training and practice on learning how to be bloody competitive out of the gate might help as well.
  6. Yep right on cue, excellent entertainment playing to a full house. Hang on a minute their is no one there, what a surprise.
  7. Have to say I fully agree, he talked about the pride of representing your country and he couldn't be arsed.
  8. Indeed, nobody can accuse the BSPA of not encouraging the GB team can they.
  9. It's clearly an incentive to get other countries to stage it other than Poland, Sweden, England and Denmark. The big argument was always how do you sell a race off and final without the host nation likely to be in the final, the new seeding host to final gets by that.
  10. Well in answer to the title question, if Middleditch thinks Kennett should still be in the team after that pathetic display at Birmingham last night then both him and Kennett should be dropped.
  11. Can only agree, excellent article and I think it should be a regular feature.
  12. Excellent wish they would move permanently to Wednesdays.
  13. All the tracks provide a bond to the BSPA when starting so why not use that, the clubs could then repay it back over the next few years.
  14. Polish GP programmes are about £3 but they do vary country to country, cost of producing the programmes is dirt cheap so the mark up is horrendous.
  15. Would have been nice to actually be able to hear what was said over the speakers, we were middle tier on the second bend and couldn't hear or understand anything said, and not for the first time either.
  16. To be honest I have seen worse British GP,s, I have also seen much better but that's the problem with temporary tracks its not an exact science although some of the established European tracks like Prague and Terenzano are bloody awful every year. As others say in this day and age it's impossible to stop bad news creeping out and it was clear Cardiff had a problem on the Friday with the track, that said I wasn't aware of any press releases or updates despite reading that their would be on here. To be fair the British GP is a good day out even though it is a bit expensive but good weather helps and this years was very good.
  17. It will be interesting to see if Hancock can be bothered to do the next round.
  18. He wasn't that good Phil, he had 7 rides as well. Well past his best that's why he is a reserve at Belle Vue.
  19. No John it's all done on computer spreadsheets now.
  20. They can change their own official stats as I have known it done, think it might be Durno that needs to do it though.
  21. Lol It's probably why the British GP is so successful, the less the BSPA have to do with anything the better.
  22. Will please the other 15 riders as well, that's one rider they won't have to worry about.
