  1. Fully agree with this and I hope we have a good year in the PL, if we do I think we will be OK but I worry about crowds if we are not competitive.
  2. Lakeside Officially the slowest track currently operating regularly in the UK
  3. To be fair bearing in mind GB,s current standing I thought it interesting that 4 people wanted the job. Best of luck to Rosco in what is a difficult job in the current climate.
  4. It's a good point and worth repeating. Website story's promote interest, I thought the KOC question was a good one as well, if it's been decided and we have been told it has who are we riding against.
  5. I have emailed and complained to both the BSPA and SCB when the need arises but found the BSPA office very poor in the way it conducts itself and know promoters that have fared little better. As for decisions that have gone our way I struggle over the last decade to remember any although being fair their must be the odd occasion. I think the basic problem is the BSPA don't feel the need to change or certainly the ones pulling the strings don't.
  6. I am not confused at all but yes your probably right that I don't know you that well, What I do know well is how your organisation works having had years of personal experience. So impress me, make me change my mind, let's see the BSPA operate in an open, honest and up front way and let's have a rule book that's clear and cannot be interpreted to suit any particular person or club.
  7. No I made several friends and good contacts whilst working for Peterborough some years ago and have a few years experience of working with the BSPA office and the MC and know how they operate. I still have a good circle of friends within the sport and most of what I hear certainly isn't unsubstantiated gossip, pretty sure you haven't got a scooby do bearing in mind the degree in absolute bollox you continue to spout.
  8. The problem is that their is not enough riders to go around. The other concern is that EL second strings and reserves don't get enough meetings in just the EL to survive, the top boys ride abroad so it isn't as much as a problem to them. Yeah right. For an Elephant you certainly have selective memory.
  9. I wonder if anyone at Sheffield has thought of changing their race night. Wouldn't be a problem for Morris then.
  10. Your forgetting the BSPA protocol rules Rule 1. The BSPA MC are always right. Rule 2. If the BSPA MC are wrong rule 1 applies. Rule 3. In the event of both above rules being wrong the BSPA MC reserve the right to make it up as they think fit. Clue - Hoggarts on the MC
  11. Well that rules out Lakeside and Kings Lynn then. I take it you meant hospitality, lol
  12. Nothing arguably about it, it is. But Somerset's a cracker as well
  13. Crump never had a problem because he holds a british passport
  14. 1. I find it hard to believe that bragging that Newcastle charge the most for their ST is something Newcastle Speedway ask you to do. 2. Sheffield Management made the decision to let Richard Hall go as they explained in their press release in July, I appreciate the words are different but it amounts to the same.
  15. I had a look through the PL web sites last night to see how ours fair against the rivals, some don't bother and the others vary enormously, with some offering no discount if they reach finals of competitions, Edinburgh,s are the most expensive at £325.
  16. He went well at Sheffield as well, remind me who sacked him.
  17. The last time was for a Panthers challenge match at the start of 2012, it was exactly how I remembered it.
  18. I don't disagree with the dirt post, you must spend a lot of your time at Peterborough as it's one of the few places that still use it. Don't think I have seen anything other than shockers at Lakeside and Eastbourne, probably the only good thing about dropping down to the PL this year. Gate and go is boring no argument from me on that one.
  19. A track which encourages racing and is both big enough and wide enough for riders to use many different lines and allows overtaking on any part of it for 4 laps and not just the start and first corner. Being somewhat older than you I have a lot of experience of second tier speedway (30 years plus) and have attended Rye House on numerous occasions.
  20. Not through choice No thankfully he is Swindon's problem now
