  1. Oh dear, looks like reality has set in after a promising start to the season, perhaps the scribes got the team right after all.
  2. That was his 96th official match for Panthers and well over half of those have been at Peterborough, its been clear to me from the start that the Showground circuit is slicker so far this year than it was in 2013 and if I can see it a professional speedway rider should be able to as well. As I said I am pleased to see him amongst the points because a firing Dryml helps the team, and that's what its all about. I think the riding switch with him and Bjerre has helped as well.
  3. No really pleased to see him actually do well, let's be honest though it's about time.
  4. Doesn't excite the team managers either, neither of them are going. Is Summers really the best we can get to cover Fisher.
  5. Well that result opens up the group somewhat, been a good day for shock results.
  6. Excellent GP, thoroughly enjoyed it. Well done Martin Smolinski I certainly didn't see that coming. Bloody light years ahead of the EL
  7. I dare say he will be given some time to get it right but it is galling at times because he should be able a lot better than 5 points a meeting at this level. It didn't take him long last year when he visited with BV, paid 15 if I remember it rightly.
  8. The whole thing is down to a lack of riders, UK speedway simply does not have enough riders to go around and the after cutting the EL down to help a lot of superstars with as few matches as possible and to cut costs over the years it's not enough for second strings or reserves to get by on. One answer would be to run EL and PL on different nights, that would cut all this guests and RR crap out overnight.
  9. Should know the day before if they run to form, perhaps Somerset will tell us a bit earlier.
  10. Kennett and Jacobs are both owned by Coventry not sure about Blackbird. What annoys me more than anything is my team were disadvantaged which helped Eastbourne and Wolves, two teams who have shafted Peterborough at every opportunity.
  11. My first visit since 2011 and to be fair I thought the track didn't look too bad and it certainly wasn't dusty. Once the racing action started it was clear that trapping still played a major role at Rye and the Rockets (Lambert apart) were all very good with Kennett exceptional. Panthers were not helped by missing two riders and although the result wouldn't likely have been different I think it would have been a bit closer. As a Panthers fan I want to see a full strength team, I couldn't give a stuff about Eastbourne and Wolves. Have to say that the fish and chips at the stadium now is awful, which is a shame as it used to be very good.
  12. Interestingly enough the rules also state that official matches take precedence over challenge matches but that's clearly been ignored by RH. I haven't seen or read anything to explain why it's happening this way.
  13. But unfortunately that's not the case for everyone as Harkess stated in the star last week over the Aussie visas. That's my point some clubs get common sense and some clubs get nothing, if it was consistent and applied fairly I wouldn't have a problem with common sense being applied.
  14. Local weather updates are always welcome, especially if they expect fans to travel. It really is time every track did it as routine.
  15. He/she was found out years ago by most of us who have ignored him/her since.
  16. I see no team news is forthcoming yet from either club and according to the BSPA site Plymouth haven't even had a declared team approved. Sam Simota covering for Alex Davies and assuming Panthers have a full 1-7 Weather forecast is showers for tomorrow.
  17. Air fence repair took 32 minutes and York is only better than anyone else at irritating and annoying supporters. I agree with others Darren Fletcher is light years ahead of anyone I have listened too in my 45 years experience.
  18. Indeed I bet you remember 21st June 1999, 4th June 2001, 19th June 2006 and 23rd June 2007 with fond memories as well
  19. Rye used R/R for Bunyan in our match on Tuesday, Bunyan's in NZ for the first GP Depends whose asking.
  20. They suffered by having a slick track. Blackbird, Jacobs and Greenwood aren't the problem at the moment.
  21. Exactly my thoughts, a couple of challenges to settle everyone down. Track was slick as a badgers rear end and certainly suited RH, but they were much better out of the traps than Panthers who looked rusty.
  22. Work both ways, yeah right. Poole would be entitled to anything they want, Swindon would get no facility
  23. R/R contrary to rule 16.5.3 but from my information the SCB have approved R/R for this and other matches until he returns from NZ. Yet another classic example of rules being ignored when it suits.
