  1. This has all the hallmarks of a promotion losing money and looking to quit. Had this with my team in 2018.
  2. Only decent crowd has been Glasgow due to many away fans turning up.
  3. Looking at the reserve berth, Perks, Mountain, Sarjeant, Clegg and Ayres all fit
  4. I’ve listened to a few in the past and they’re very good. Bit of a lull between races where all you can hear is the music playing at the track, but the race coverage is excellent and you can interact via Twitter while the meeting is in progress
  5. I thought I heard that young Freddie had come up from St Albans in Hertfordshire, close to my old stomping ground. Amazing how the parents of these young boys sacrifice so much for their kids. I’ve done that journey many times and it’s not pleasant.
  6. Anyone hang around for the academy match? Score and any highlights?
  7. I remember Adam Allot at Kings Lynn in the mid 2000’s. Heat leader at home, number 8 away.
  8. While he was doing the donut after heat 15, I remarked that he was showing us what he scored at Armadale last night
  9. On tonight’s showing the Bandits should win comfortably, but don’t take anything for granted
  10. Gappmaier will drop to reserve soon enough, then the Bandits will really be in trouble.
  11. Enjoyable meeting with some good racing. Berwick so unlucky not to leave with all 3 points. The four who scored the points couldn’t be faulted. Leon can be excused for now, but Dany must improve his performances away from home. One decent gate, but was quickly swallowed up by the home riders. Impressed with Pickering with some breathtaking passes. There was some question over his win in heat 12, it looked as if Coty had pipped him, but we were nowhere near level to see. Unlucky not to be nominated for heat 15. Josh Bates was a very capable guest and scored about what I thought Nikolaj would. Hopefully he’s ok after his alarming looking heat 15 fall A point is a good, but could’ve been a cracking night for the Bandits with a bit of luck. Hopefully clinch a semi final place with a win at home on Saturday.
  12. Instant updates available at https://mobile.twitter.com/LiveBandits
  13. I can see a fairly comfortable win for Edinburgh by 10-12 points
  14. He started the season off slowly at Rye House last year and only really came alive when he signed for Poole. Mind you, not being paid isn’t the greatest motivator
  15. Didn’t look so easy at Eastbourne according to the updates. Probably on a large guarantee
  16. Great result for the Bandits, but the racing was pretty meh!
  17. For those of you who can’t make the trip the Bandits now have an unofficial dedicated Twitter account. Heat results seconds after each race. @livebandits
  18. Suspected broken collarbone for Jye Etheridge after his heat 14 crash.
  19. Surely there are two buttons/switches. One for the green light and one to raise the tapes? Once the green light is illuminated the riders are reviving the engines. With my very limited knowledge of bikes too much of a delay between the green light going on and the tapes being raised would burn out the clutch
  20. Should be a minimum number of meetings before making team changes unless through injury. You take a chance on a young rider on a low average hoping he’s gonna come up trumps and he bombs? Tough
  21. That’s the smoothest I’ve ever seen the track. No home advantage whatsoever on that
  22. Instead of being an arse on here and seeing that you seem to have a lot of time on your hands, why not pop down to the stadium and offer to help with the covers. They may even offer you free admission as a reward
  23. Yorkshire is in the Midlands The North starts at Newcastle. There’s a Road sign there that says so
  24. Judging by the queues lots of them. Many clubs could do with the extra revenue
