  1. Another reason he’s safe is because he’s a Berwick asset, so no loan fee to pay.
  2. Yeah, I’ve learned that since moving up here!
  3. Current Met Office forecast is possible light rain around 7pm, getting heavier as the evening continues. Difficult decision for the promoters. Risk starting the meeting with the possibility of an abandonment, or call it off early. No covers down, so the track will be heavy.
  4. Nope, just instinct and experience, having lost the team I supported for 33 years due to financial difficulties
  5. I hope you’re right and I’m wrong
  6. Bandits start their Championship campaign this Saturday Early weather forecasts suggest rain all morning and into the early afternoon. Hopefully the track covers are down. Early attendances haven’t looked great apart from the Glasgow and Edinburgh meetings. Hopefully the warmer weather will bring a few more in, but without a significant away support I’m concerned that the plug may be pulled before the season is out. It doesn’t help that they’re going against the first GP of the season, which will no doubt affect the attendance. Hopefully I’m way off, especially with the team starting the season off in decent form with a final to look forward to.
  7. This has all the hallmarks of a promotion losing money and looking to quit. Had this with my team in 2018.
  8. Only decent crowd has been Glasgow due to many away fans turning up.
  9. Looking at the reserve berth, Perks, Mountain, Sarjeant, Clegg and Ayres all fit
  10. I’ve listened to a few in the past and they’re very good. Bit of a lull between races where all you can hear is the music playing at the track, but the race coverage is excellent and you can interact via Twitter while the meeting is in progress
  11. I thought I heard that young Freddie had come up from St Albans in Hertfordshire, close to my old stomping ground. Amazing how the parents of these young boys sacrifice so much for their kids. I’ve done that journey many times and it’s not pleasant.
  12. Anyone hang around for the academy match? Score and any highlights?
  13. I remember Adam Allot at Kings Lynn in the mid 2000’s. Heat leader at home, number 8 away.
  14. While he was doing the donut after heat 15, I remarked that he was showing us what he scored at Armadale last night
  15. On tonight’s showing the Bandits should win comfortably, but don’t take anything for granted
  16. Gappmaier will drop to reserve soon enough, then the Bandits will really be in trouble.
  17. Enjoyable meeting with some good racing. Berwick so unlucky not to leave with all 3 points. The four who scored the points couldn’t be faulted. Leon can be excused for now, but Dany must improve his performances away from home. One decent gate, but was quickly swallowed up by the home riders. Impressed with Pickering with some breathtaking passes. There was some question over his win in heat 12, it looked as if Coty had pipped him, but we were nowhere near level to see. Unlucky not to be nominated for heat 15. Josh Bates was a very capable guest and scored about what I thought Nikolaj would. Hopefully he’s ok after his alarming looking heat 15 fall A point is a good, but could’ve been a cracking night for the Bandits with a bit of luck. Hopefully clinch a semi final place with a win at home on Saturday.
  18. Instant updates available at https://mobile.twitter.com/LiveBandits
  19. I can see a fairly comfortable win for Edinburgh by 10-12 points
  20. He started the season off slowly at Rye House last year and only really came alive when he signed for Poole. Mind you, not being paid isn’t the greatest motivator
  21. Didn’t look so easy at Eastbourne according to the updates. Probably on a large guarantee
  22. Great result for the Bandits, but the racing was pretty meh!
  23. For those of you who can’t make the trip the Bandits now have an unofficial dedicated Twitter account. Heat results seconds after each race. @livebandits
  24. Suspected broken collarbone for Jye Etheridge after his heat 14 crash.
