  1. We are neither at the moment. Scraping wins by 6 points isn’t really being strong at home
  2. It’s a shame for the lad, but no surprise really. Speedway has become too expensive for riders. Long gone are the days when they’d turn up with a bike strapped to the back of a car. You’re gonna see a lot more of this as promoters cut the points money of journeyman second strings/reserves to pay for the likes of Nicholls, Harris, Schlein, Morris et al. Expect a few more who’ll have to “take a break” from speedway due to financial reasons.
  3. Always notice how bumpy the BP track is, especially entering and leaving the bends. Is this done on purpose, or is it poor track prep? I thought Dany Gappmaier looked particularly poor tonight. Way off the pace
  4. Are you ok? You come across as a little bit mentally disturbed. You could just ignore them and do something productive
  5. Jesus Christ, what a bunch of half bakes. Who’s gonna have the last word? me! me! no, me! Oh please Miss, let it be me! Difficult to believe these are adults with jobs/wives/kids Sad
  6. Working fine for tracks that were already running midweek. Not so good for traditional weekend tracks
  7. Kevin Doolan asking for a mechanic for Poole, presumably guesting for NBJ
  8. Going into bend 3 lap 1, NBJ in 3rd when Grajczonek rode into the side of him, sending Nikolaj over the high side. Cant remember where I read it, but it could’ve been his neck brace that exacerbated the injury
  9. I’ve seen the video of the incident. If it’s only concussion he’s very lucky. It looked horrific
  10. Found myself doing that quite often. I was texting to speedway updates and had the heat results ready to send by the end of the race in most cases.
  11. I tell it as it is. Last night was decent. Been gate and go for the Bandits meetings I’ve seen at Berwick this year and I’ve seen em all
  12. If it’s anything like usual it’ll be who’s quicker out of the gate. Gotta say the racing there has been average this year
  13. I’d see better quality racing that’s for sure
  14. I was thinking more towards the end of his career when he’s on the slide. That’s the preferred option at Berwick isn’t it?
  15. Why not just retrain to find a job? Basic English would be a good start
  16. In the return at Berwick he was untouchable from the gate, but when missed was nowhere. More to do with the track than the rider
  17. I remember seeing Leon Flint at Rye House in a junior meeting around 3-4 years ago, he was tiny, but looked pretty decent. I was amazed to see his NJL average last year was below 6.00, he looks to have come on a bundle. Saw him at Armadale a couple of weeks ago where he was head and shoulders above the rest. I notice he’s doing pretty well for Birmingham. Hopefully a future Bandit.
  18. The NBJ exclusion I can understand.... just, but the Etheridge decision was barmy. A clear mistake by the referee on that occasion
  19. Unlike footballers, speedway riders aren’t paid for sitting about doing nowt (Mezut Ozil out for the season with a “bad back” on a reported £300K a week in World Cup year). RR at home doesn’t work, especially with Max Clegg having a nightmare season, so it’s imperative that Kennett rides. I’ve seen footage of heat 3 which was vintage Eddie. He probably felt the injury more as the meeting went on, but with the relative infrequency of Rockets meetings it’ll hopefully give him time to recover fully. Somerset fans seem happy with a point, but I’m pretty sure they were quietly confident of more. Max Clegg continues to concern and must be in danger of losing his place in the team. I’ve seen most of the heats and he shows plenty of effort, but not scoring.
  20. I noticed a few heats in and quickly put some scores using my phone, adding heat details towards the end of the meeting
