  1. Found myself doing that quite often. I was texting to speedway updates and had the heat results ready to send by the end of the race in most cases.
  2. I tell it as it is. Last night was decent. Been gate and go for the Bandits meetings I’ve seen at Berwick this year and I’ve seen em all
  3. If it’s anything like usual it’ll be who’s quicker out of the gate. Gotta say the racing there has been average this year
  4. I’d see better quality racing that’s for sure
  5. I was thinking more towards the end of his career when he’s on the slide. That’s the preferred option at Berwick isn’t it?
  6. Why not just retrain to find a job? Basic English would be a good start
  7. In the return at Berwick he was untouchable from the gate, but when missed was nowhere. More to do with the track than the rider
  8. I remember seeing Leon Flint at Rye House in a junior meeting around 3-4 years ago, he was tiny, but looked pretty decent. I was amazed to see his NJL average last year was below 6.00, he looks to have come on a bundle. Saw him at Armadale a couple of weeks ago where he was head and shoulders above the rest. I notice he’s doing pretty well for Birmingham. Hopefully a future Bandit.
  9. The NBJ exclusion I can understand.... just, but the Etheridge decision was barmy. A clear mistake by the referee on that occasion
  10. Unlike footballers, speedway riders aren’t paid for sitting about doing nowt (Mezut Ozil out for the season with a “bad back” on a reported £300K a week in World Cup year). RR at home doesn’t work, especially with Max Clegg having a nightmare season, so it’s imperative that Kennett rides. I’ve seen footage of heat 3 which was vintage Eddie. He probably felt the injury more as the meeting went on, but with the relative infrequency of Rockets meetings it’ll hopefully give him time to recover fully. Somerset fans seem happy with a point, but I’m pretty sure they were quietly confident of more. Max Clegg continues to concern and must be in danger of losing his place in the team. I’ve seen most of the heats and he shows plenty of effort, but not scoring.
  11. I noticed a few heats in and quickly put some scores using my phone, adding heat details towards the end of the meeting
  12. Forgettable meeting kept alive by the closeness of the scores and a couple of controversial refereeing decisions. Dust was flying about from the first heat. John Lindman can’t have long left in this side. He only beat Kyle Bickley. Seen him a few times and not impressed.
  13. Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen signs on a 28 day contract in place of the injured Stuart Robson
  14. That was mentioned during the U21 meeting last night.
  15. Pretty sure the old Premier Trophy meetings counted, so I should think they do for this
  16. I predicted 40-50, which goes to show you should never write a side off before the meeting. Lakeside unlucky to lose Ostergaard early on which cost them a point at least. A totally different Bandits side to last week with Kevin Doolan being the star man. Jye Etheridge looked to be feeling the effects of last nights crash at Armadale Not sure how long Lindman has. Doesn’t look at all comfortable and gifted most of his points. I saw him at Edinburgh last night where he looked like a novice. Fifteen year old Leon Flint looked more assured in the second half.
  17. Hadn’t been before, so we went to the first available car park Needed a seat as we had a toddler with us who was flagging by the end of the night
  18. My first visit to any Manchester track and now completed a meeting at every speedway track in all three leagues. My impression of the stadium is very favourable. Excellent viewing from the main stand, but £21 is a bit pricy. For an extra £3 you can have a padded seat! Upon arrival we were directed to a car park (£3) near the pits bend which was almost full at 6pm. If this is the only car park then that’s inadequate. My 3 year old son wasn’t keen on the loud engines and had his hands over his ears for the first half of the meeting. One of the stewards must’ve seen this and kindly brought us some ear plugs. A very nice gesture we thought. On the whole a pretty enjoyable experience despite the score. The track looks fantastic and with better opposition should serve up some cracking racing.
  19. Well it’s still light drizzle at the track (1840). Been this way for an hour
  20. As Fromafar says, I’m a resident of Berwick-upon-Tweed now. On our way south for a few days. This was a very convenient fixture for me
  21. This is my first time at any BV track. Looking forward to seeing if the hype is for real. Hopefully we’ll put up some kind of fight.
