  1. Someone gave him a jacket with a number 7 on it, he put it on and there you go... What's the problem?
  2. My son would... Ben Barker is one of his favourite riders.
  3. According to BSPA site: Rye House 48 - Kyle Hughes 14 Buxton 41 - Adam Allott 11
  4. I gave it a miss tonight... Didn't fancy the bus, two tubes and a train to get there and the same on the return journey.
  5. Fantastic score from Marc Owen, disappointing score from Kyle Hughes... What on earth has happened to Lee Smethills?
  6. According to his own website he misses this weeks meetings for Rye House (tonight) and Ipswich (Thursday) while he recovers. Linus Sundstrom News
  7. Oh yeah, I'm seriously minted!! Got my free England vuvuzela on Saturday from Tescos, courtesy of the Sun newspaper... What a disappointment is is... Bleedin' thing is so flimsy and blowing into it requires lungs the size of a hot air balloon, which for an ex smoker (7 months and counting) ain't ideal!!
  8. Why do you think we're still together after almost five years?
  9. What is the Millenium Stadium policy on air horns you blow into as opposed to the gas canister type? I've got an England one from the last Euro Championships, about a foot long... I s'pose I could hide it down my trouser leg, but then it'd probably attract attention
  10. Spot on Mr Bramble...It takes a Rye House fan to get to the point. It amazes me that the usual suspects on here seem to think they know better than ex riders who have years of top class speedway experience behind them.
  11. Referee said there was no contact when speaking to Jonsson on the phone.
  12. Just watching the re run on SS4 Did Nigel Pearson really say that Somerset fans can breathe a sigh of relief as Lubos Tomicek isn't as badly injured as first thought? I'd wager they have their fingers crossed hoping he misses their next home meeting
  13. Bleedin' disgrace... I'll be smuggling my drink in this year and certainly won't be buying anything to eat in there... I refuse to pay the over inflated prices they charge in the Millenium Stadium... I couldn't believe what they were charging for a simple bottle of water AND they removed the cap before allowing me to walk away.
  14. I don't know what people were expecting in Sweden during early May
  15. They're not the same place are they? Crystal Palace Athletics Stadium stands on the site of the old Crystal Palace dirt track. I'm not 100% sure, but I assume that the track at White City Stadium in London was partly laid on top of the athletics track?
  16. Andrew Silver, not officially retired. Dean Barker, only recently retired.
  17. Didn't they used to run a bus from Upminster Station?
  18. I was shocked when I read this .... you are a sick sick woman.
  19. Stanley Stadium was not far from the end of the M62 motorway, pretty close to the city Centre. The last speedway meeting was in 1960 (they were then known as the Pirates), but greyhounds ran until the end of 1961. The stadium no longer exists and is now the site of a fruit and veg market. No reason was given for closure, but eight points from eighteen meetings in their final season tells it's own story. Taken from Homes of British Speedway
