  1. If they still run on Friday you'll need most of the weekend to get there
  2. Some people reading far too much into the DW tweet. Team speedway is slowly dying on its arse. Too expensive to run, not enough people paying through the gate. It can only go one way
  3. Could be they've tarmacked the old dog track for easier access. It was certainly in the plans
  4. From Hertfordshire Mercury http://m.hertfordshiremercury.co.uk/scott-outlines-bold-plans-for-rye-house/story-29883976-detail/story.html
  5. The nearest Premiership track to me will be 209 miles away ☹️
  6. They demolished the lower bar. We used to stop by for a drink or two after the meetings, but there's only the bar at the top of the main stand which I've never been a fan of, so we don't bother.
  7. Rye are lucky to have a rail station bang on the doorstep and a pretty decent pub right next to the stadium
  8. I won't see anyone Vinny. I'm relocating ooop North
  9. Oh blimey, I just saw that. Never liked the name "Elite" anyway
  10. May as well move this thread to the EL section now
  11. Shouldn't affect the Berwick attendance whatsoever.
  12. I'd rather stick needles in my testicles than support another team. Once a Rocket always a Rocket
  13. Even Jon Cook reckons Rye are going Elite
  14. Interesting to hear Gary Havelocks words at the Monster Bash last night. Not going to change much too soon was roughly what he said. From this years side I can only see three certainties for next year, TJ, Liam and Kevin. I kinda got the feeling that Seb didn't think he'd be ready. Tom Perry looked decent, but if the three point reserve rule is continued there may not be room for him and Liam in the side. One of them would have to start outside the reserve berth.
  15. Chances are he'd be dropped, quit, or be injured before he pitched up at Newcastle
  16. Adam Allott must've been touching an 8 point average at Kings Lynn and about 4.00 away. Can't think of anyone who was more of a one track rider than him
  17. If I was Robert Branford, looking at that away average, I'd be thinking about moving away from Rye
  18. Look, we've all had a good giggle at Barker, but what if his throttle was really stuck open. Don't crucify the bloke unless you're 100% sure.
  19. Scunthorpe recently used Bates as a guest at reserve at Rye in place of Carl Wilkinson. He scored 14 from 7. Luckily it didn't matter that day.
