  1. Sky want £160.00 to install Sky Plus...........
  2. Thursday afternoon from Gods country............itinerary still unknown.
  3. If not a Brit............ then Herbie Hancock.
  4. Turn 3, mid section, tickets about £59.00
  5. My first visit to Cardiff since about 2003 when Stoney was there............... heading for the Air horn free zone+ear plugs. Myself, Stoney Legend and Stemoc, plus another! Also going to the Pairs on Friday, should be good but tiring weekend.
  6. Received a letter today from the ticket issuers confirming that the start time has changed from 7.00pm to 5.00pm. Still nice of them to let me know.
  7. In my opinion Nicholls probably deserves another chance but not Bomber who was not at the races for many of the GP's last season. Best of luck to both riders next year, hopefully Scott can get that elusive GP win in 2009.
  8. I think this forum should be limited to only a few, ie SCB, Shovlar,Dekker and the banned Subedei................then there would be harmony.
  9. Do not know if it has been mentioned but nice touch from Hancock when he touched a Booey sign on his pit sponsors board prior to the final.
  10. Damn missed what sounds like a great meeting............... no Sky Plus. Busy watching the Comets beat Mildenhall. Can someone tell me how many points Daniel Nermark scored.
  11. Not just because i,m a Worky fan but Daniel Nermark rode to his potential. Do not forget Wolverhampton did want to sign him at the start of this season and his current PL average is around 10.67.
  12. Anyone know who the new female pits interviewer is in the GP,s the name sounded like Summer Borg. Very nice...
  13. May be one day in the distant future, 2040, but by then Speedway will be banned for being too dangerous/dirty, anyway i,m sure that Holta chap is Polish!
  14. According to the SS pre meeting entertainment to be Right said Fred.................... apparently very big in Germany.
  15. Yes, all were on 500, s there were however one or two 250 cc races. Tony Mole did stress in the programme notes that we and BSPA must " concentrate on developing British talent by means of 80cc or 100cc powered machines and then progress to 250 cc engines before the riders are mounted on the 500 cc engines used in conventional speedway."
  16. Yes it is a small track, 165 metres and the races were over four laps.
  17. Report in the local paper, no mention of the injured rider, hope he is well. Can only imagine what it feels like for a parent to have a son /Daughter racing speedway. There were some nasty accidents on Sunday but most seemed to have got away without any major injuries. Big respect to all the competitors at the meeting, they are very tough and brave. http://www.newsandstar.co.uk/sport/viewart....aspx?id=546123
  18. Thats right Jason did have two wins and looks a good prospect for such a young lad and in one race was lying second but gave it a big handful to try and go up the inside but there was no room and took the other rider off. There is no denying his potential but just had a rush of blood in the heat of the race! There seemed to be some confusion during the match when mechanics/dads? tried to take over when an exclusion light came on and the guys were put back on 2 mins, all good fun! There also seemed to be some confusion during the working out of the Qualifiers for the Semis and Quarter finals but a certain team manager was having none of it.
  19. Qualifing points : R Franklin 8 J Sarjeant 11 J Butler 1 S Meakins 3 D Greenwood 8 J Garrity 6 S Hazelden 4 M Jowett 4 K Norton 4 D Lamb 8 C Hoskins 4 J Hirst 7 Semi Final 1st Franklin 2nd Hazelden 3rd Hirst 4th Lamb Final 1st Sarjeant 2nd Greenwood 3rd Franklin 4th Hazelden fxc. Quite a good meeting but marred by a few nasty falls. Fastest time of the British under 15 Championship. Heat 3 in 47.4 won by Jason Garrity.
  20. Weather very wet at the moment , forecast for brighter weather this afternoon.
