Somerset Cases Rebels V Edinburgh 11/06
topaz325 replied to Starman2006's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Great racing tonight at the OTA, Cookie likes a rolling start!! -
The Comets take on a strong Redcar Bears side who are looking for at least a point at Derwent Park, especially with the inform Micky Dyer who has a liking for the Workington track! Only change in the Worky line up will be r/r for Tero with Chris Mills hopefully returning from injury. Hopefully the track will be getting a good watering over the next few days as the good weather looks like continuing.

Have not read most of the posts on this topic but....a few positives from my weekend at Cardiff... Good train journey from the North West but expensive tickets.... Good Hotel at Cardiff, ideal location and paid average city price.. Great seats at the Millenium stadium but expensive for food and refreshments, eg about £4.00 for a bottle of cider or can of bitter, £1.50 for bag of crisps! Is it just me or are the bars getting rougher and seedier every year near the stadium....i like a pint or two but ......!! The racing at Somerset on Friday is usually on par with the racing at Cardiff!! -

A little victory song for the race winners: What a drummer!! -
Ok Worky without a meet for two weeks then postpone another due to whatever, then miss another weekend with the GP taking part, then another rain off for example and the fans will drift away too. The guest rule is not ideal but untill there is an alternative.....i would rather the original Workington team took to the track as well.

Workington clearly broke the rules and should have used 3 NL three point riders. -

Will have to miss tonights match ( ) , all this rubbish spouted about the Workington team....is not Worky's fault...injuries and International call ups have torn the team apart, i would have the normal Worky team if possible but hey ho. Tero's home scores 7+1, 9+2, 7+2, 6+2, 6+2. Kyle 3,9+2, 8+2 , 6+1, 11+2,5+1 Mill's 5+2, 7+1, 5, Morris 2,1, 6+3, 1, 5+3, 15+1. Hopefully a good nights racing at Derwent Park. -

Good signing for the Bandits and a surprising one at that with Kennett and the reserve coming in it may just give the other guys a boost too. Did not know that Ricky Ashworth's injury was that bad, get well soon.

First of all best wishes and a speedy recovery to the injured riders in heat 1 (Tero and Nick) in what was a very nasty crash. I thought the Bandits would have put up a better fight than they did and to their credit they did perform a comeback of sorts in the second half of the meet with wins for Smith, Aspergren and Wethers which give the scoreline some respectablity. Kozza Smith was undoubtedley the star of the show for Berwick with some good races which included a six point tac ride win in heat nine. The injuries to both sides cancelled each other out but the Comets reserves out scored the Berwick reserves by 23 points to 5. Big star of the night for the Comets was birthday boy Ashley Morris with a great score of 15+1 from six rides, well done Ash.
