  1. Well weather permitting Workington Comets try to get another home meeting completed to add to their points tally against the Redcar Bears. My prediction Weather 60 Comets 30.
  2. The year of the Cat, yes a good point gained at Redcar last night could prove vital at the cut off date.
  3. So this Saturday night Lakeside come to town and on paper look to be one of the strongest sides in the League. Lining up for them is former Comet and Workington favourite Richard Lawson, Nick Morris and Adam Ellis, a formidable trio. Weather for Saturday night looks good, so hopefully we can win all the points on offer and with the cut off date being extended we might still just get all our League fixtures completed.
  4. BBC weather app says rain all day in Workington, still early to predict. At least the dead line for the play offs have been extended to September the 16th.
  5. Is that where the rumour of extending the cut off date come from?
  6. Crowd was about average for Workington this year, usually get a decent increase when Glasgow are in town.
  7. Ok thanks , I did not think it was to be used after heat 12
  8. What are the rules regarding Tactical substitute , I looked on the BSPA site but the rules were for TR from 2016!!
  9. All riders last night showed great commitment , so another win and all the points, Ipswich were a bit hit and miss the star for them surprisingly was Heeps. Schlein took a nasty tumble on bends three and four, hope will be ok. The meeting was not helped by delays some unavoidable by crashes, would have liked to have watched the second half lads but it was getting late.
  10. Weather still looking ok, cloudy but no rain forecast, the track had a good natural water yesterday so will hopefully provide some good racing.
  11. Ive never swung my leg over a Speedway bike , Rory has had some terrible injuries...…..Keyboard warriors.
  12. SS still a good read and decent value if bought via subscription.
  13. Both home meetings listed on the Comets website too.
  14. So this week Worky go in search of another home win to try and boost their chances of getting that elusive play off place. Dan Bewley is missing from the Comets side as he is riding for Britain in Denmark in the under 21 World Cup. The weather forecast says heavy cloud all day but for no rain.
  15. In the SS and Bspa webpage but provisional
  16. Workington v Lakeside 19:00hrs 25/08/2018 Workington v Redcar 19:30 hrs. 26/08/2018
  17. I,m not saying the Cook situation is right but a similar thing happened at Workington last week Dan Bewley riding in Poland, r/r facility used, then on Sunday two riders riding in Poland no facility granted but luckily it was rained off. This Saturday Dan Bewley missing again riding for Britain against Denmark.
  18. Yes riding for GB against Denmark I think.
  19. Might have to be re arranged if we get any rain offs in the next few weeks.
