Workington have over twenty matches to fit in over the next few months some of which have not been arranged yet, they have had some rain offs but even so it seems most years we are playing catch up with other teams in the League.
I'm not blaming anyone in particular just the system as a whole, Gps, SWC and rider availabilty does not help.
Well weather permitting this is going to be another good test for the Comets against a Panthers side that sees Simon Lambert return from injury to bolster an already strong team which includes Harris, Ostergaard and Holder!!
The Comets will be glad to see the return of Craig Cook after last weeks home defeat by the Sheffield Tigers, so will need to be on their gaurd agaist a team who only got beat by 10pts at Glasgow recently and that was with r/r for Harris.
Hopefully 16 points will be enough, Cook a faultless 15pt max and new track record in heat 1.
Great 5-1 in heat 13, Cook and Jorgensen over Worrall and Lambert, Lambert was getting nowhere at the back so started popping Wheelies.
Workington entertain Newcastle on this two meeting Sunday KOC tie which ended all square last time they met so a replay is required.
As far as i know its a full team for both sides but there may be doubts about Thomas Jorgensen for the Comets, not sure if Steve Worrall is ok but seemed to go well in the British Final!
Probably go down to the wire again with the scores being close at both meetings......Comets to win by four over two legs
