Of course it was meaningless, in the grand scheme of things. I'm sure the fans loved it, just like I loved watching us beat the mighty Oxford Spires at home last night, with some great action on track I'll also add. If you hadn't have secured the bonus point what difference would it have made? You know some fans even go wild when their team wins on the night but go out of the KO Cup on aggregate! Let's not kid ourselves that the top 4 weren't sorted from the very early weeks of the season, I'm not even sure if it's worth finishing in any particular place on the table after the stunt Mr Morris pulled last season and I'm not sure if the pay off finishing places have even been announced for this season

Top 4 in a 7 team league though is ridiculous rendering most league matches meaningless... the only meaningful matches, perversely, are against Birmingham, Oxford & Kings Lynn, beat those and you're in the pay offs.

He said on the NBNF podcast (and I'm paraphrasing) that he already rides like a throttle jockey at the NSS so wants to go to a proper track in the PL 😜😂

The best racing I've seen by far, consistently, over the last few years have been under 16's on 250cc engines in the SGP3. Imagine what the pro's could do on them 🤔

250cc engines, 5 rider teams, one league, no doubling up, graded riders... Radical change to race format, maybe first 4 races programmed the rest left to the discretion of the team manager, team in front to choose first, inclusion of different format races within the match, one lap dashes, devil take the hind most etc. Full sponsored 2nd half with junior races

He even seemed to bugger his start up off of 15 as well, probably 20 going into turn 1 👏

Although me and my big fingers may have typed too soon... first time Mr Dickson hasn't used Masters in heat 1 and it ran a last! How about having half point guests and their points counting double... so if a 6 point man is out, you get a 3 point guest in and any points they score count for double... I'm of course joking, aren't I? Remember you read it here first!!!!

SCB STATEMENT: WORKINGTON SPEEDWAY Thursday July 10, 2025 The members of the Speedway Control Bureau are delighted at the outcome of the Workington situation and would like to thank all concerned with those persons connected with keeping the club in the league for the remainder of the 2025 season. However, as with any other sport there are Regulations to abide by and in fairness to all the other clubs in the Championship League the Workington club did breach the Regulations. therefore as per the 2025 SCB Regulations have been deducted 2 (two) Championship League points.

Personally I think that is the answer, obviously it's not the whole answer but it's the foundation that you start from to rebuild British Speedway. Add this to a complete overhaul of the race format, race night experience and running on the night that best suits your business is at least a start.
