  1. Does this mean we get another coin toss? 🙏
  2. Steve Worrall wouldn't even have made the start in heat 14 there!
  3. Dan Thompson, so no profile he's not even been nominated for rider of the night when he's clearly been the best rider on view!
  4. Jake Allen on the Evian! They're paying him far too much!
  5. Surely they wouldn't bin their skipper?!?
  6. Sounds like Lambert thinks he's for the chop!
  7. How good it is to see the progress of Dan Thompson, way ahead of some of his higher profile contemporaries, has often been overlooked as far as the GB Speedway team goes, more due to his low (no) profile way of going about things.
  8. I'm looking forward to the coin toss 😂
  9. It's not just Zmarzlik... they've been wrong for everybody!
  10. The timing captions on the screen are absolute b0ll0cks! They're all wrong! During the duels, when the lap time at the bottom of the screen is transferred to the leader board on the left of the screen the times are different!
  11. Supply and demand isn't it, what does the Crucible hold 1000? There'll always be people that can afford to pay that, especially with the number being so small... and there were quite a number of empty seats (not British Final empty), I assume they were corporate tickets. Maybe a shape of things to come if the capacity of Speedway GP's gets any lower.
  12. Quiz question: What was the British Speedway transfer record and who was it? btw, I don't know the answer.
  13. Anybody know who's done the ditties they play over the pa? They're pretty catchy in a kind of cheesy eurovision ai kind of way 🎶🎶🎶
  14. The track is so slick that the tractor is wheel spinning as it tries to go up the banking on turns 1 and 2 😂
  15. Dust after heat 1... blue groove imminent... and they said conditions were perfect on TwitterX
  16. As a Cov fan at that time, I think we were all surprised on each of his British Final victories, despite home advantage!
  17. I think many of us on this forum have grown up watching "SPEEDway" at tracks like Eastbourne, Arena Essex, Rye House, Wolverhampton, Newcastle, Edinburgh etc. etc. the list goes on, the sad truth is the performance of the bikes these days does not always make for a great spectacle at these types of "TECHNICALway" tracks unless the track is prepared to a very high standard... which is not always the case and seems a vanishingly small window with current day engines . Polish tracks do all seem to be a very similar shape with similar shale, with no sharp turns, where pinning the throttle seems to be the order of the day and where if your engine and setup is fast enough it doesn't matter how good a rider is behind you they will not get past. The variety of our tracks in the past has been enough to attract riders to the UK to better themselves with the skills of setup, throttle control and riding technique. Polish Speedway has always been well attended well before it going stratospheric like it has these days. I've seen my fair share of Polish Speedway and they have crap meetings, as we do, I've seen some real dross at the NSS, especially after rain when the track is heavy when it's very much gate and go, there's just a lot more people watching those type of meetings in Poland. The more recently built tracks in the UK have generally followed the Polish style of track, Leicester being the obvious exception! The rest have to work within the confines of the stadium in which they are located. The British Championship should always be held at Belle Vue as it was at Coventry previously before some bright spark decided to move it away in 2003.
  18. It'd go the same way as the Finnish, Norwegian, Italian, Slovenian, Croatian, Australian & New Zealand GP's I'd have thought.
