Speculation... but when @Phil The Ace posts it, it's usually true
-
There is no back tracking... it's as if nothing has been previously said, it's like she's got a protective boot in her mouth
-
They should try and get it back dated to when the offence originally happened
-
Forget that... what about his legendary protective boot? When you do get it I think you should seriously consider donating it to the Speedway museum, at Paradise Park, where it could become a major exhibit.

Normally in legal documents/rules there's a force majeure clause, I would have thought both Doyle and Tungate should have been covered by this, why a flight delay in a foreign country trumps a traffic delay in a foreign country I'm not quite sure. Neither should have been banned imo... or both (definitely neither)
-
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the rules don't mention missed flights, broken down planes, traffic jams etc. It just says the SCB have to be notified when and why a rider is missing. It then seems to be up to the SCB if and what any sanction will be. Why Tungate gets a ban and Doyle doesn't has never been explained. There's far too many 7 and 28 day bans being handed out for my liking.

He missed the meeting
-
If only that were true, but once you start basing rules on common sense... or opinion as I would call it, you're onto a loser
-
It doesn't really matter that he missed his flight tbh, he missed the meeting which is what the rule says
-
This has already happened, granted it wasn't Poland... it was Slovakia. Also Tungate got a ban Doyle didn't... And you can throw Lee Complin into the case, as he was banned with no facility allowed until the next day!

Has there been another era when there have been so few world champions competing? Past, present and future? Obviously Zmarzlik's achievements will be judged in the future, when he's retired along with the current crop. But Rickardsson competed against more world champions: Jan O Pedersen, Per Jonsson, Hans Nielsen, Sam Ermolenko, Greg Hancock, Billy Hamill, Mark Loram, Tomasz Gollob, Gary Havelock, Jason Crump, Nicki Pedersen = 11 champions, 21 world titles 6 wins, 3 2nd's (to Jan O, Crump & Nielsen), 2 3rd's (to Loram, Hamill, Crump & Pedersen), 2 4th's (to Hamill, Nielsen, Gollob & Hancock): 18 World Champions Trick rode in 8 home GP's and won 2 in his 6 title wins. GP win ratio 23.81% Zmarzlik: Greg Hancock, Tai Woffinden, Chris Holder, Jason Doyle, Nicki Pedersen, Artem Laguta = 6 champions, 13 world titles 4 wins, 2 2nd's (to Woffy & Laguta), 1 3rd (to Hancock & Woffy): 8 World Champions Bartek rode in 16 home GP's and won 7 in his 4 title wins GP win ratio 26.37% A higher proportion of GP's have been held in Zmarzlik's home land in the modern era (and I don't care what you say, that is an advantage), with 2020's championship almost exclusively being held in Poland. Add in the ban applied to his 2 closest rivals as good as he undoubtedly is, he ain't no GoaT (yet). Somebody else might want to look at Ivan Mauger's record

Zero I would have thought as everybody else manages to spell his name correctly ... but Fricke looked over three times at Smarslick last night as they were coming out of turn 2, lap 1 and still failed to slam the door shut on him at the end of the back straight! I don't think anybody was going to stop BZ from winning last night though.
-
He actually missed 2 meetings (so far) for Belle Vue, at Oxford after getting injured abroad, he then returned for the GP qualifier, then missed the next Belle Vue match... but don't let the facts get in the way
-
Which is exactly the way it should be, I can't bare to watch these riders slobbering over each other after a race. It's all too chummy chummy, it's part of the reason why everybody just lets Zmarlik by when he's on their tailpipe, so they can have kisses and cuddles with him afterwards, instead of slamming the door shut with a I don't give a f**k what you think about it attitude. A lot of it started with Greg Hancock throwing himself over riders after races back in the 90's, if you look at old videos from before that period riders very rarely even acknowledged each other, let alone shook hands, now it's all touchy feely. I think the beef started a few years ago when Fricke was selected for the SoN by Lemo ahead of Holder, whether it goes deeper than that I don't know. But I rather like Jack Holder's No F**ks given attitude, not particularly by what he says as he's a bit of a DJ Woffy lite on that front but he's currently backing that up on track.
-
It'll be interesting to see if Fricke continues his run and if by some chance Doyley gets fit before the end of the season, would Doyle come back into the GP's if Fricke was in the position to do something, top 3, top 6? Another good GP, it's been a pretty good year so far, with the exception of Prague.

You do like his protective boot don't you? Perhaps he'll sign it and give it to you if he ever comes back

Boring zzzzzzzzzz

No 2 year waiting list?
