  1. Well, the crowds will be down if you don't go
  2. How long will the forum last tonight? I'm going to say until heat 2, so I'll get my comments in now... Where is Craig Cook Batchelor is a disgrace Why isn't Bomber riding for [INSERT TEAM NAME HERE] The track is too dusty The track is too narrow The track is too wide Etc. Etc.
  3. Except 2015 & 2016 when he was averaging pretty much what he is now, he had a decent 2017 then cleared off
  4. The big question tonight is will the forum stay up long enough for any of us to discuss the match
  5. 4, 7 & 11?... Why wasn't the track watered after every race though on what was an exceptional night weather wise? All it would take is 1 lap of watering after every race, it would take around 1 minute. Why leave it 40 minutes until the first watering and then only water the outside of the track which wasn't where the dust was coming from or where the riders were riding... and this is not just unique to Birmingham although it does seem to be a regular occurrence there.
  6. No, I'm the one that wants to see the rules, whatever they be, applied equally... You're welcome by the way for me digging the facts out for you👍 Not bad for a troll 🧌
  7. It's all there on the forum, all you have to do is use the search facility, the magnifying glass at the top right of the screen
  8. You have to wonder whether it would have been a better idea to target the Cardiff city centre after work drinkers on a Friday night to the "sprint race" than trying to squeeze an extra few £10 programme sales from people who will more than likely be at Oxford than in Cardiff a day early. They should have thrown the doors open for free and handed out complimentary tickets in the city centre on the Friday afternoon for the non event of "qualifying" with the Sprint Race afterwards. Has anybody ever done any analysis of whether a better qualifying position correlates to a better GP finishing position? It's not like in other forms of motorsport where a pole position almost guarantees you a podium finish, in F1 at least... or is it?
  9. You are not a Speedway fan then! If you were, it's your duty to attend
  10. I've answered the question a few times on different threads, search them out I've detailed the dates and locations of Kurtz's appearances and non appearances while "injured"
  11. Lack of watering was definitely the issue, yes the track was fine for heat 1 but because watering wasn't done again until after heat 4, which was some 40 minutes later and there is a refusal in this country to water the track where the dust is actually being generated from, unlike in Poland where they just flood the track and the better riders will just get on with it, they just keep watering the track on the very outside when every rider is riding the curb around the blue groove spewing up clouds of dust!
  12. Personally I'd like to see the return of Junior League racing in the 2nd half of meetings... I went to the NDL series at Leicester and it was quite tedious
  13. It's been done to death elsewhere on the forum, but he did exactly the same and went without punishment
  14. Nico Covatti - 28 day suspension Tobias Musielak - 28 day suspension Brady Kurtz - No suspension Benjamin Basso - 28 day suspension
  15. But then you have to bring an individual riders ability into the equation. A rule should cover all riders no matter the ability. Look at Sam McGurk who can quite easily fall off on his own vs (I was trying to think of a specific rider but couldn't) anybody else (😂)
  16. I can't believe all these people slagging Cardiff off and not attending. It's the biggest showpiece event in our sport (or at least it used to be) and all many can do on here is moan about everything to do with it... well I hope you're all happy it seems you've got what you all wanted! You'll be moaning about ticket prices at Belle Vue next year, complaining you've got soaked to the skin in the rain and complaining that there's nothing to do around the stadium. £23 for a world class event in a state of the art stadium... with a roof! And all you can do is moan because you've lost your sense of adventure for 1 day of your life and need a comfy bed for a night instead of driving there and back in one go or staying somewhere away from Cardiff... you ought to be ashamed of yourselves! Remember where it was before Cardiff? Hackney, Bradford, Coventry... you don't know what you've had until it's gone. Well done everybody that stopped going!
  17. I was stood on the first turn and to be fair it was pretty difficult to see what was going on on bends 3/4 by the end of the meeting. Why on earth they let tracks get like that is beyond me and Brum are not the only culprits. Something else I noticed, from memory only Wiktor Lampart, Richard Lawson and maybe Drew Kemp came around for applause during the meeting, prior to Lions snatching victory in the final race.
  18. I can understand that with the sporadic nature of UK fixtures these days that it's quite conceivable that riders can be riding in between British fixtures and aggravating injuries etc. Why the SCB were so trigger happy in giving Covatti a 28 day ban when he first came back for Plymouth and was still clearly not fit is beyond me, they made a rod for their own back there... only to then not apply that same ruling to all of the others who have done exactly the same thing.
  19. And they've all got away with it except for Covatti. Basso was going to be suspended but was able to provide a medical certificate but then rode twice afterwards before missing tonight's match!
