No doubt about that!

They do attend normally... assume they've missed their flight or something

Pretty p155 poor of DSE to not provide any English commentary for qualifying. Scott Nicholls was clearly stood there in the pits like a spare part
-
Absolutely... he's clearly been the star of the show
-
The thing is there's been a hell of a lot of "opinion" presented as evidence... on both sides. It's the inspectors job to cut through all of this crap and make a decision based on actual evidence, and hopefully not opinion presented as evidence. Just because someday says it's evidence hopefully doesn't mean that it's just taken as read that it is "evidence"

Well, you did ask

REDCAR V GLASGOW (CAB DIRECT CHAMP P/O) 27/9/ 23
IainB replied to SharpenRake's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Have you just seen how Sheffield have celebrated reaching the final? That's how you do it... not what goes on when Glasgow win a match away from home -
Tigers vs Wolves (playoff semi 2nd leg) 28/09/23
IainB replied to SuperStarsFan91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
And that's a wrap for the Wolves... another of the sports grandee teams gone! Hope to see them again in 2024... but I suspect it may be longer before we see them again if at all -
Something to do with the NHS wanting a say... so if they've gone onto an NHS waiting list it could be another couple of years! And I thought the NHS supposed to treat ill people, apparently not these days

I mean it's had the glitz and glamour thrown at it by Sky, in a similar manner that Speedway did but it still seems to be unable to shake off it's cloth cap and whippets image and predominantly a northern sport. Snooker & Darts have managed to change their image, especially Snooker. What was once a past time to be play in a smokey hall no has a much more modern image
-
I think Eddie Waring had a great deal to do with bringing RL to a wider prominence didn't he? But despite all of the polish it still appears to be a bit of a turd at heart in this country

I don't quite know why anybody hasn't asked him the most obvious question of all: "Why are you here?" Maybe Brandon Estates will change their name to Plainmoor Estates when Brandon has been built on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plainmoor "After ownership of Torquay United was transferred to Gaming International under the company name Riviera Stadium Limited, talks with Torbay Council have re-opened about the purchase of Plainmoor and developing the ground into housing" It's so obviously corrupt!
-
I can't really comment on somebody who wants to be a philanthropist says the man who's losing £1m a year at Torquay Utd!!!
-
I wonder if Torquay Utd fans know that it's owner is appearing at a public inquiry advocating the selling of a sporting stadium for housing development?!?
-
I hope Rob Godfrey has been listening to all this and realises that Speedway really needs to get its house in order if it is to fight off other situations such as this! In the needs of some kind direction in ways of business plans, national strategies etc.
-
It depends on what the inspector is looking at though. The planning application was not rejected on the viability of Speedway & Stox and the provision of a 3g pitch, that's what the appellant has thrown all their "evidence" behind. There were many factors on why planning was rejected and BE have just elected to ignore those
-
This guy is an outright liar... he's just said that increasing costs (energy etc.) can't be passed on in the form of higher admission prices, just a plain lie! What's his position re Brandon? Is he involved with the developers? Why is he trying to stop Coventry from returning?

IainB replied to SharpenRake's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I've seen teams go out to thank their fans and they generally walk up to them giving them a clap and a wave... none of this lining up against the fence for photo's business that's usually reserved for the winning of titles... when you've won one you'll get the hang of it -

Great comeback from Glasgow... fortunately sets next week's match against Oxford up very nicely Glasgow celebrating like they'd won the thing again... just like they did when they won at Scunny in the BSN trophy... look how that ended -

Jack Smith seemed to have everything under control there until Basso unsettled him! -

So when does the machine examiner come into play? Only before the start of a meeting? -

What's going on? Why is the Wroclaw star being allowed to rebuild his bike? Do we all just wait until he's ready? Edit: paramedics, fair enough -

A great climax to the season! Isn't this just a rerun of the BSN Series in effect? But with teams at the opposite ends of the country -

Looks like the fans have given 6 team play offs a resounding thumbs down! A terrible crowd at Edinburgh last Friday, a meagre crowd in tonight's nothing match for Redcar and probably the same again (at this rate) when/if Glasgow face Oxford. Edit: maybe Glasgow are not out of it! -

Good effort by the track staff! Those covers look a right ball ache!
