  1. The BBC only ever mentions anything when it's something bad, I wouldn't worry about it too much the BBC is totally irrelevant these days to anybody outside of London and in hindsight it's probably a blessing that Speedway never got involved with them, can you imagine the scrutiny it would be coming under in these modern times with our lack of diversity? It'd be leading the news headlines every night
  2. I think the crowds for Non League Football will be massive, Sports fans have been starved of sport to attend for months... I've not been for an evening out since last October! I'd go and watch Speedway at any level at the moment
  3. And what about the possibility of Individual meetings?
  4. What about the great nation of Cornwall? Chris Harris 2021 World Champion!
  5. The thought occurred to me looking at those pits, and I'm only half jesting when I say this, such is my desperation to see the Bees back on track... But wouldn't it be great if Banksy paid a visit to the stadium and re-decorated the pit area Does he do requests?
  6. But wasn't the chief negotiator the chairman of an association?
  7. What a waste of 180zl then... It was a tough watch from the top of my settee
  8. I went to watch it at The Crucible last year and it was all I could do to stop myself from snoring
  9. I was thinking similar... I would have used the word desperate though
  10. With Snooker you can easily identify anybody coughing and they can be jumped on, bagged up and thrown out onto the street
  11. Trouble is the government numbers are all over the place and have lost any credibility. If, god forbid, Nicki Pedersen were to drop dead in the pits (I only choose Nicki because we know he's had Covid) his death would be counted as a Covid death!
  12. Yes, we all know that... But who willingly handed over all of the money? And who creamed off a large wedge themselves? Funnily enough I've just listened to the Shane Parker podcast this morning and he said exactly the same thing and be was one I would think that was benefiting from the Sky money. Maybe if there was an independent body running the sport the money would have been channeled elsewhere... Who knows?
  13. How many millions did Mr Murdoch hand over to Speedway? And where did it go?
  14. If you're looking for enthusiasm on these forums, you're looking in the wrong place... even in the best of times It'd be like going to Ippo every week with their no air horns policy
  15. Followed by a trip to the toilet during the next break?
  16. Not to mention most of the BBC turning the lights out and going home... while introducing the licence fee for over 75's and producing much reduced output
  17. Time will tell on that front, but he's certainly well capable of scoring points in the Polish league
  18. You should try watching it on delay and FF all the delays... it's unwatchable live for me, life's too short to watch endless replays while waiting for the next race. Also, on another point, I hope Sheffield fans enjoyed watching "3 Lap Nicki", he's completely uninterested in anything other than winning in team matches, been like this for years
  19. At the risk of offending Belle Vue fans, from what I've seen of Dan Bewley so far, he's nothing special (yet!). Yes he can be amazing around Belle Vue, but I've seen him at many other tracks and he's never stood out as being anything special to me. He's been found out in Poland, compare him to Jaimon Lidsey, I think Dan needs to move away from Belle Vue to further his career, somewhere between Manchester and Poland.
  20. You're probably at more risk of being hit in the face with shale than getting Covid19, so perhaps those full face visors should be mandatory... 2 birds, 1 stone
  21. Don't Panicz! Don't Panicz! I assume Chris Holder is otherwise engaged? And with the inclusion of Panicz (whoever he is) it looks like Dan Bewley's Polish adventure is over unless he's named as No 16. Fricke's days must also be numbered unless he pulls his finger out this weekend.
  22. It pains me to say it, but with the noises coming from the government about team sport "bubbles", I now can't see a British Speedway league starting this year
  23. It doesn't matter what rules you put in place if you don't enforce them. Personally I would like to see a line across the track 1m to 2m from the tapes where riders can't enter until under starters orders, green light, approach the tapes.... GO!
