  1. ITV showed England football, prime time, 5 teams in their league 😁
  2. Looks like the Ipswich faithful have other things to do tonight 😁 Is there a curfew at Ippo?
  3. He'll be along soon to tell us all that Poole are the underdogs for the 2nd leg πŸ˜‚
  4. Yes, he's been fine, but only fine, normally when these riders come in with all the hype (and expectation) they will at least show flashes of something, even Boughen registered double figures a couple of times last season before his head went.
  5. Not really set the Speedway world on fire since he's started CL... yet to score double figures, living up to the hype was always going to be difficult.
  6. Emil, Bomber, Bewley, Picko, Danny King
  7. That is out there... Ryan Reynolds not so much though 😁
  8. I like the Polish scope for race line up changes but I'm not keen on the 2 nominateds at the end of the meeting I prefer our heat 15 nominees... so yes and no 😁
  9. Crazy isn't it that all these repeat fixtures happen at the end of the season, BSN should have been done and dusted at the end of spring, the KO Cup mid Summer and Pay Offs now.
  10. If it's the same as the old Odsal track the bends were plenty wide enough, can't remember the straights though, I suppose as long as they satisfy the FIM track specifications it could be potentially doable. Isn't Edinburgh even built to FIM standards? That doesn't strike me as being especially wide?
  11. Would it not be more viable to have the neutral zone on the inside of the fence (i.e. a fence within the fence) the bends are certainly wide enough to do that, not sure about the straights though?
  12. Testimonials aren't as lucrative as they used to be in this country especially to Ekstraliga riders. DJ Woff was due a testimonial this year and it was obviously not worth his trouble to organise one, he could probably make as much in a couple of races in Poland.
  13. You'd have thought he would have remembered the podium... he was stood on top of it last year at Leicester!
  14. I'm not saying he's going to single handedly revive the SGP series, but it's currently at its lowest ever ebb and there's not a single rider in the series they can hang their promotional hat on... Dan Bewley, as good as he is, is all a bit nicey nicey when interviewed, Robert Lambert a bit boring and neither have an individual World Championship to their name... and you can forget the rest although Jack Holder does seem to have something about him. There's only 3 World Champions in the 2026 series and 2 of them are wild cards and the other one can't speak English... I mean what do you do with that as a promoter?
  15. Why do you say that? SGP has/is a brand, GB Speedway Team is a brand... and pretty much nobody outside of the sport are aware of them.
  16. Is it available on any Podcast platforms?
  17. That's a couple more articles than are currently appearing in the national press currently though. SoN win last year, not a mention, Dan always winning the British GP, nothing, BZ winning a 6th Championship, nothing. Tai farts, article printed in the newspaper! And it's not about reading an article in the paper and then heading off trance like to your nearest Speedway venue, much in the same way that you don't watch an advert on the TV and have the sudden need to go and but some sanitary pads (😲). It's about brand awareness and gaining some kind of traction in the public consciousness.
  18. Shouldn't need to adjust the whole sport to cater for quitters though πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ
  19. We've had the commentators discussing the weather and now the traffic... you just don't get this on TNT πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  20. 17 race retirements this season, 12 for Leicester (more than everybody else that rode for Leicester combined) and 5 for Berwick. Based on 4 programmed rides that's 3 complete meetings he just couldn't be bothered to finish. If you've not fallen off and your bike is still under any kind of power there is no excuse for not finishing races.
