King's Lynn Stars 2025
phillwhitewasmad replied to Bald Bloke's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Well that's definitely an untruth about Luke . Don't let the truth get in the way of a good story -
Luke's task this year is to up his average away from home and as long as he ends the year a better rider than he started we are happy. Boy rode well today whilst still feeling the affects of Wednesdays crash. Sorry he's not getting 15 every meeting to keep the keyboard hero's happy but never mind it's only speedway

Scunthorpe v Workington 9th May
phillwhitewasmad replied to RS50's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
No even if as alleged Batch wasn't trying 13 others were and for me that's where the focus should be. I don't need anyone to speak for me especially someone as negative as you are. Was a decent nights racing with some good heats and for me the score doses not reflect the meeting. Always thought Scunthorpe would be the winners as we are strong at home -

Bit sad the discussion has turned into slating one rider rather than praising the others who gave it a go big home win 2 maximum's and some decent racing . But the focus is on the negative -

Northern Junior League 2024
phillwhitewasmad replied to edmon's topic in Youth Speedway and Development Leagues
Got to say from our experience with Luke that we were treated extremely well by Berwick no contempt at all. However we did put the hard yards in only missed one meeting during our time with them due to being in Glasgow hospital. We got the fixtures and arranged our schedule around them . -
Is that ££s or our pounds lbs

What about Ashton vale similar average to sonny

To explain Luke's national league average and how it is at the 7.7 level. During last season we used every national league meeting trying different stuff with set ups to learn what did and didn't work. It was never about winning it was about learning. We know that the bike used at scunny in the national league (which is not his championship bike) doesn't work at Sheffield. We know the scunny championship bike isn't great at Oxford but the national league bike is way better. The scunny championship bike goes well round Sheffield it was all a set process to help his development which we believe worked out looking back over the season. Even at scunny for national league we used different settings on the bike as both meetings were second half's of double headers and we know now have a good grasp of our equipment and what bikes do on different tracks hope this makes sense Ps his name is Luke not Harrison

Can't say I disagree but the league needs heat leaders and they are of limited numbers . Personally wouldn't say he's to good and do believe the additional meetings will help his progress.

Take it that a pop at us 😂

to cut out any speculation on the subject Luke was asked at the last meeting of this season if he wanted to return. We felt that a different track would of benefitted him in his progress with oxford ,Leicester or redcar being the preferred options sadly none could fit him in thus leaving him without a space. This was a family decision and was fully discussed with Simon and Rob at Scunthorpe who were both supportive of the decision.
