If you read the article the role is not really a leadership role

In fairness I don't feel he's doing a great job but do think he's doing the best he can with the hand he's dealt. All the clubs closing down are not his fault but the fault of poor ownership and unscrupulous other individuals or those just wanting to cash in on an asset they own . There are no improvements that have been made but don't feel this can be aimed at the individual it's more about the collective who in the main only concentrate on their individual business and not the sport in general. You can lead a horse to water but can't make it drink

What specifically are you pointing out

Personally don't think so I agree it needs more positivity . Negativity breeds more negativity
-
Don't think anyone else wants the job

Unfortunately you can only lead from the front if the followers want to follow and as is blatantly obvious they don't . Example let's do 2 home 2 away meetings to increase the fixtures to be more relevant majority agree so announcement is made 10 days later the followers don't want it so major u turn like is said individual businesses running there own way and the organisation can't sanction them as they need them . Season runs over because of a load of different circumstances yet it's the organisations leader who is vilified and not the individuals who run the clubs who choose not to run for weeks on end during the warmest summer for years again clubs will only do what suits them and not the sport

As he says in the interview all clubs are standalone businesses. if the owners can't make it pay or decide to close them or Chuck their teddies from the pram there's not a lot that can be done to keep them open as not many people are willing to put money into speedway. As matter of interest could you point out which clubs could of been saved by the Bspl

2023 National League Riders

Staying 250 worked for us with the gradual transition to 500 before making the jump to NDL biggest problem is once you turn a wheel in 4th meeting you gain an average hence why we only did 2. Other than Ashton the only rider currently riding I believe who will be 15 next is Sonny Springer and I'm pretty sure his birthday is after the end of the season. After that there's William Cairns and Jamie Etherington and a few who are at leat 3 years off. -

From what I understand he's staying 250 next year with the intention of transition as the year goes on . late birthdays always make it a difficult decision for parents as whether to move up and get an average or wait till the following year. If he commits to international 250cc as well could be September before he is available. -

Ashton vale turns 15 late June next year -
Can't see it been 2 home 2 away due to only 3 standalone teams personally wouldn't mind seeing 1 home 1 away , knockout cup and potentially a mini tournament with the 3 standalone clubs plus the IOW giving about 15 home and away meetings. The junior riders need to be busy to progress riding potentially 3 times in a week then not again for a month don't help them

We have already announced Kennedy and Thompson so I'm hoping it's number 3

Personally would rather see the great racing that scunthorpe and Redcar produces than rubbish racing and massive home wins. Nobody really cares who wins the league so would rather be entertained at the meetings I attend

No because most of the idiots who do critical posts on here don't attend anymore just hark on about the old days when everything was so much better . Upright engines ,13 heats ,wooden fences ,open face helmets with monkey masks , Castrol r, open silencers, -

Personally would of thought Auty was nailed on with a low average for his potential to score big points at home and the occasional good meeting away
