Swedish Play Offs 2012

I'll hold back the provisional Wednesday racecard until tomorrow or in a few hours time once i've trawled the news wires a little more. Just a little surprised at Patryk Dudek being listed when on Sunday evening it was reported that; "Patryk Dudek unfortunate crashed earlier tonight in the match between Stal Gorzow and his Stelmet Falubaz Zielona Gora. Dudek decided to go to the hospital for further investigation. The doctors announced that two ribs are probably broken and he sustained a hematoma on the liver." Also today in Poland a further news release; "Unfortunately for Patrick Dudek ended with Sunday's derby Lubuskie in Gorzow. "Duzers" in his second race fell on the track and was transported to the hospital for tests. As reported sport.zgora.pl service Dudek has broken two ribs and a hematoma of the liver. 20-year-old speedway rider will most likely wait for surgery, this information gave his mom." Eeeek! does that translation mean he is going to ride with broken ribs!, maybe it's just got lost in the translation. Then again Tai Woffinden is in the line-up despite being far from fit. Interesting comment from Piraterna; "Pirates coach Stefan Andersson is surprised to Jonas Davidsson not running. I was almost sure that he would run. But we'll see, a lot can happen tomorrow." -
Lol Lol. Hey i was doing enough to qualify as multi-tasking but just don't ask me any questions as to who won what. It did slightly fry my brain as over the next two days i frequently found myself at the bottom of the stairs wandering if i was about to go up to get something or if i had just come down!

BIG APOLOGY FROM NICKI ON ALL 'CHARGES' Not seen this anywhere else yet but a translated version of http://www.aktuellsp...-om-urs-kt.html The three-time world champion Nicki Pedersen, apologizes for his reaction after the judge's decision to exclude him from the race fifth heats, after the incident with Andreas Jonsson in MÃ¥lilla. In a statement issued by Pedersen and his team says Nicki, among other things, that as a permanent driver in the Cup series since 2001, he is aware of the rules of the game and says he apologizes for his actions afterwards, that may have offended among viewers and child. The communication from the team writes overpriced That Nicki is a driver with a huge winning instinct and he always runs with great passion for the sport. Pedersen is currently third overall in the World Cup table and struggling to find a new medal. With this in mind, the emotions run away when a driver is aware that they are sentenced improperly. The team writes overpriced That the World Series is live and many drivers thwart get a camera or microphone in front of Them as soon as They took off his helmet after a fight. In other sports, the media is not the chance to do so and the athletes have time to evaluate a situation before they are interviewed, they say, and continues: and Continues: As a dad, Nicki is overpriced very conscious of his role for the youngest viewers and he is always willing to sign autographs and set up on the image.

Swedish Play Offs 2012

OMG! (part two/amended) this will drive Alan insane there is even a picnic table in the area inside the main entrance and behind the main grandstand. (lol) On a serious note, sorry GW i forgot to offer Congratulations and Jubilations to your team, although saying 'cool' is good. Do let us know, probably in the main Swedish thread if a decision is months away, as to whether Smerderna will be taking up the promotion into the top tier. -
Firstly i'll try and pre-empt those who trawl the forums with pointless non-constructive posts who AS OF RIGHT NOW (lol lol lol) have surpassed their cerebral capacity of reading a post more than a few words long. It's a discussion forum and as such civil and level-headed topics stretch to......shock! horror!......more than a couple of paragraphs. Also bold and capitalizised text is used for visually stressing specific points only. Ok on to the response..... Barrow Boy on that logic you might as well save yourself time and work and publish your tables ONCE a season and only after all the matches have been completed. Your last sentence totally illustrates that. You are resorting to a play on words to define it reflects them as they 'really' stand. The reason why i suggest only showing them come the final table is because your tables in effect add asolutely nothing to the comprehension of how teams are accurately truly performing at a competitive level - which is the whole purpose of the MiniMax tables. The plus/minus tables heavily and falsely distort a team's standing merely on grounds of how fortunate a team has been to race home matches more than away matches, ESPECIALLY SO if a team is poor on their travels. It's a bit like when Sky in their league broadcasts refer to a team for a good two thirds of the season as being in the play off chase just because they stand fourth in the table. Yet if that team is useless away from home and the vast majority of their points have come from having ridden a lot more home matches than anyone else then in reality it's a false claim. 'Trick Tracks' (and normal) in both leagues have often tended to pile home matches in early and gain a good visual placing in the league. Maybe certain promotions with regularly weak teams do this in order to gain publicity appearing to be an attraction to floating fans or non-followers of the sport. However it's only those who have little intellect and take the bare league table OR the plus/minus table at blind face value who crucially can't see the wood for the trees. Many other forms of media both within and outside of the sport are laughably only now coming to see who in the Elite League have been the 'Great Pretenders' all season. They are only now catching sight of the true contenders finally rising up the table. The MiniMax tables across the leagues have been displaying clearly for months as to who is genuinely involved in the play-off chases......HAVE THE PLUS/MINUS TABLES BEEN SHOWING THE SAME??? and if not, which they sooooo haven't, what is the point in publishing them when they serve no additional insight to a bare league table. Too be honest in the way you present them so bare and devoid of surrounding basic qualifying stats they can ONLY serve to DISTORT! I reiterate the MiniMax tables year after year give a clear and true indication of how teams actually stand (in a true reflection of sporting performance level) for a long time before the actual tables do, and a very long time - not far off the end of season - before other 'systems' do. If we were talking about football such tables wouldn't make any great difference but in a sport such as speedway where home and away performances differ so drastically it matters a lot. You may think that one can look at a standard league table and say that a team which has ridden far less matches let's you know that they are of higher standard than their position implies. However, using the MiniMax projected points calculation on the home and away performances gives a more accurate representation. I mean if a team has seven matches in hand their likely end of season total will be enormously different depending on them being seven home or seven away fixtures to take place. The MiniMax tables will show that NOW, the plus/minus table will only show that near or at the END of the season, begging the question what is their purpose?. Sorry if you took offence at the wording of part of my earlier reply, however at the time i was responding direct in kind - as in using their terminology - to a non-constructive post that simply hurled an insult. I have mentioned that i'm only presenting valid reasons for stating that one system (MiniMax) IS mathematically superior to another (plus/minus). The latter merely consists of a bare print-out of facts totally devoid of any meaningful parameters. I'd presume that a reply would consist of counter arguments or not but i see your reply seems only to present a play on words regarding the term 'how they really stand'. It's no biggie and i'm certainly not 'arguing' as such over the whole matter, nor am intending to upset anybody and obviously am not remotely upset over anything myself lol. I merely wanted to address a non-constructive claim that the Minimax were nonsense and i only initially referred to the plus/minus as a comparison. As far as i'm concerned all the best to you and merrily continue publishing away with no harm at all to anyone, well except for giving false hopes to their team being in a non-existent position of challenging for a play-off place or title lol For those that enjoy looking at the tables well absolutely all good there too. Personally myself i am very bemused at how they can be treated as having a meaningful purpose for the reasons stated above and i expanded on the reasons on the MiniMax league table web page.

Swedish Play Offs 2012

COOL! Both our teams won something this year Smederna the Allsvenskan play-off final and Belle Vue the Elite League wooden spoon. Very tidy stadium indeed and OMG! this will drive Alan insane there is even a picnic table in the Car Park! -
Nooooooooooooo! wow what an entertaining time i've missed by the sound of it. Couldn't make it home in time. Oh well hopefully there are another round of matches to come and i'll make sure i'm here. It will be even better if it's coupled with good racing. Were the riders involved in the crash ok?. Any riders we know? Regards more information that was asked for i do remember coming across at least two excellent Russian sites. Don't forget Google Translate DOES work with Cyrillic translations too.

Just to clarify if anybody is still nonplussed. What i posted last night (and HenryW seconded today from his sources at the track) turned out to be right and the Danish tv was wrong with their graphics for most of the meeting. The meeting awarded points on position 4 3 2 0. The final league table was a combination of the points gained in the final added to the regular season's points. The heat scoring was 3 2 1 0 throughout which means Kanalsport also erred with the first heat result. Final League Standings 1. Esbjerg 28 2. Fjelsted 24 3. Holsted 21 4. Holstebro 17
-
Got to pop out so gonna screen record the rest of this. It's left me looking forward to the sanity of a meeting run by BSPA rules.
-
I did think it may happen and it has.....TV just changed their graphics to the meeting scoring. So does look like we can simply enjoy each race for what it is as Esbjerg likely to have the championship wrapped up.
-
But if you go by the tv the scores are 42 41 35 26 = not clear who's going to win! Surely the tv does have it wrong. Anyway enough! can't talk about it anymore it too stressful. I gonna have to relieve some stress by doing some crazy dancing like the start girls are, they very, very bouncy and active.
-
Maybe we and the tv are both right to an extent.....what if it's a case of (1) league points are carried over and changed into race points, (2) adding to that are the race points from tonight.......(3) PLUS the awarding of 4 3 2 0 for meeting positions! If so all i can say is bloody hell lol. Just had a glance at DW's card and he also refers to the 4 3 2 0 meeting points, alas no mention of how everything is fitting in. Then again only so much you can fit on a racecard and this Dansk League clearly needs a few volumes of print to figure out. I'm just watching the racing now and hoping that somehow or another if it's down to the excitement of a last heat decider it's been established who can win doing what.
-
Have a good 'un
-
That's exactly what i posted last night, however, tv graphics are not conforming with that. Then again they made a right mess of the Danish individual championship first leg, as did varying official websites and media reports.
-
This is crazy stuff......the tv clearly adding this meetings heat points to the league points, however, it's clear in many sources that only Esbjerg and Fjelsted can claim the championship. That scenario only fits in with the 4 points for a meeting win being added to the league points!!! Plus, i see the last heat was awarded 3 2 1 0 points. Who confused matters further a minute ago saying one heat was awarded 4 3 2 0 lol lol - ok change that to maniacal, hysterical, despairing lol-ing i for one give up, haven't a clue what's what. Surely someone must know what's going on???
-
In a good way or bad way?
-
Thank you although you've broken the time allowance....we needed it earlier lol. I'm not getting to watch the whole meeting live but for those who use the racecard they can obviously get the heat results so far from various sites to get their racecard up to date.
-
The tv graphics showed the result as 3 2 1 0. when i looked at the last heat. Wait and see at the end of this heat to see if it's the 4 3 2 0 version mentioned earlier in the thread. Albeit that was referring to meeting points and not race points lol. Tell you what i'm ignring the scoring totally to save my brain from being fried.
-
Gee Whizz patience man patience, it's there during the race.
-
I'm very surprised at the absence of our two main Danish correspondents on League Final day. Maybe they are both at the meeting or despite being Danish they are still trying to figure out what on earth format the meeting and championship is taking.
-
Lol Lol Lol. Top right-hand corner gives the running total.
