Swedish Play Offs 2012
manchesterpaul replied to Ghostwalker's topic in International World of Speedway
Aha so they do get paid bonus points. I wonder what percentage of those ppoints were true team riding or just trailing behind his team mate? Hope he does well tonight though and every night. Heat one what a great start and a well earned true team riding bonus point, alas got squeezed out by Jonsson for the top places. -

Great to know that we've already got secured another year's coverage of the Elitserien on Premier Sports here in the UK. Along with many i'm only just recovering from the trauma of having the NFL tv deal settled the day before the opening game! Ouchee very loud P.A. system i need subtitles. Fortunately, it won't be on during the actual races but not great sound level mixing right now. Hopefully, it's only the pre-meeting. -
Thanks for the date update. By the way you forgot to mention the 7-12 Trophy! http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=69293 That's a rare spelling of the word Nonsense. I'll forgive seeing as you've undertaken such effort on your constructive and well thought out contribution to the thread.

OMG! 'The Donut is dead........Long live the Dave Goddard' I've added the second semi-final now too, it wasn't available earlier. Obviously it's worth bearing in mind that the Wednesday line-up is at the same stage of declaration as a Sunday one for the regular weekly Tuesday fixtures. As ever worth waiting as long as one can before taking it as gospel. MiniMax Racecards - Swedish Play Offs Q-Final 2nd Leg, VÄSTERVIK Vs. The provisional line-ups for the first of the two quarter-final second legs have been announced and i've yet to see any news of injuries or other changes. Therefore, i've placed the MiniMax racecard online. As usual any late team changes will be updated to the racecard tomorrow. The first leg was of course a 53-37 victory for Dackarna, so a hefty 16 point deficit to be made up by Västervik MiniMax Racecards - Swedish Play Offs Q-Final 2nd Leg, VÄSTERVIK Vs. I've searched this forum and also with Google and whilst i see references to the extended cut-off date for the play-offs, i can't find mention of the actual date. Just thought i'd point out a possible victim of the cut-off if it were to be say September the 6th or 9th. The Projected Points feature of the MiniMax league tables have had six sides pretty much clear ahead of the rest for quite a while now. Other systems such as the plus/minus are shockingly pointless and inaccurate until the final table or in the last few weeks before it. I notice that Rye House have occupied a top five or six spot for months in that system! However, i digress. Edinburgh in the projected points* are well clear of Ipswich. Yet in the live table, although they have three matches in hand, are only one point ahead of Ipswich. Now if the cut-off, for example was to be 6th September when Ipswich host Edinburgh and they were to beat them they would overtake them and claim a play-off spot. Edinburgh host Ipswich the next day but if that was rained off a cut-off date a few days later would still see Ipswich gain. * (an extrapolation of how the teams stand as of right now, not a prediction of final points, but remarkably accurate when it comes to finishing positions - and reflects a change of form instantly) So hopefully the cut-off date is a little while away and Edinburgh can get some fixtures in. Surely no club would want to miss out on meetings that should attract good crowds. I've put the matches and points first in order to make the tables more readable as there doesn't seem to be a table facilty enabled with this forum. MiniMax Projected Points (currently a gap exists between 6th and 7th) M PP 24 51 Newcastle 24 49 Scunthorpe 24 47 Somerset 24 47 Workington 24 44 Leicester 24 44 Edinburgh 24 35 Ipswich 24 31 Glasgow 24 29 Berwick 24 29 Rye House 24 25 Sheffield 24 24 Redcar 24 23 Plymouth Current Standings (currently only a single points exists between 6th and 7th) M Pts 22 42 Somerset 21 41 Scunthorpe 21 41 Leicester 18 40 Newcastle 19 35 Workington 17 30 Edinburgh 20 29 Ipswich 19 27 Glasgow 20 24 Rye House 18 23 Berwick 22 23 Sheffield 20 20 Redcar 19 17 Plymouth Minimax tables with their unique formatting and features are at http://speedway.manc...et/leagues.html

Excellent heat win for Hammarby then. Heat 15 should be a belter and the big question is 'to Iversen or not to Iversen'? Two wins, an exclusion and a duck egg. Actually i don't think he's within his sides top three scorers which would render the question and decision mute. -

Yeah i caught a glance of a headline on a Swedish site saying a good match was expected. I'll have to gen up on who is racing and what is at stake. I'm quite busy tomorrow but hope to catch it, i've missed the last few. Anyway's are we starting a book or sweepstakes to see what lap Edberg's leg falls off in his next race? -

Surprised to see Edberg still on the track. My girlfriend looked queasy (and she's a nurse lol) when Wayne Rooney's gashed to the bone thigh was displayed for all to see on tv, i do fear how she will react if Edberg's leg falls off mid-race. -

??? Is Gollob the invisible man he went from third or fourth to win the other race. Also Heat 9 lived up to it's potential very nice race. -

Good for Gollob! Very nice to see. That man has been responsible for triggering many a Tsunami whenever he jumps into the sea off the end of the pier. -

Awwww! Miedzinksi's awful start then spoils the clash of the unbeaten titans in heat 8 he's up against Iversen. Then again might likely still be a good race in prospect. -

I would have bet him to win that particular race. My memory not for the first time fails me, is he in the Grand Prix Challenge? Gollob's next race will be interesting as one suspects he retired then either solely because he's a little banged up, or also because he's seen his team go heavily behind from the start and is thinking if you lot aren't up for it neither am i lol. EDIT. Three posts went in at the same moment then and R&R has answered my question regarding Iversen. -

I meant to ask you about that very thing. Surely one has to be medically fit to ride in order not to be a danger to oneself or other riders. Maybe they expect him to be refused permission to ride and run races with only three riders, but in doing so possibly avoid sanctions for not fielding/bringing a full team etc? As they innocently cry, 'you sure Guv? you sure he can't ride with a plaster cast and a pair of crutches bolted on to his bike' -

Ok mvt.se are also going down the Alexander Edberg road. So i've left Dennis Andersson as R/R and replaced Kamil Brzozowski with the 'PARALYMPIC' Edberg. Not my description but one Tommy Cederlund. manchesterpaul replied to Ghostwalker's topic in International World of Speedway
Ok 3am here and i'm off to bed. Just had a quick search and the latest news i could find is still the excerpt from the official Indianerna site below which was published Monday afternoon. 'Andersson will therefore not start, and Hammarby would therefore run rider replacement for him. Andersson will present there not start, and Hammarby would there present run rider replacement for him. The question is whether it is okay under these Regulations to run R / R for the Swedish under-21 drivers, who according to the rule has three protected heats where he can not be replaced by any other driver.' Since it's a little unclear which team Hammarby going to start with tomorrow night, it is also extremely difficult to tilt the match starting. But we assume that Gollob going to start and that Hammarby may run R / R Andersson Indians will undoubtedly have a very hard nut to crack. I'll be re-checking for the latest team news around midday tomorrow. Ideally, Ghostwalker will have updated us all before then in the morning
