  1. If i had a racecard handy i'd look at it and tell you.
  2. ??? that's how it reads but you telling me that red was 9 to 1 to win! That's the price of a rank outsider. Updating just as i'm typing, i hadn't seen the line-up for the heat and looking at the prices for heat four at 1.35 2.70 12.00 18.00 i'm taking it that there are two very weak riders in that heat and they give high odds for the outsiders in a race.
  3. Clocking the graphics on the top right-hand corner of the screen sees the LEAGUE POINTS being changed into MEETING RACE POINTS.
  4. Probably bad for England in that there are likely more than a few young 'uns. Can't place the name of it but that National Anthem so sounded like a rip-off of a well known tune! Don't understand the betting odds at the bottom of the screen. They aren't in the UK fraction such as 7/4 and although looking as if they are the direct decimal version the prices belie that. Heat one has Esbjerg 10.00 Fjelsted 1.80 Holsted 2.70 Holstebro 4.50 If Esbjerg are at 10/1 wow take some of that lol. LATEST NEWS: Wow coooool i like the lady in red, very nice starting ladies. They dumped the dumpy ones for the final lol, omg that harsh but true.
  5. Well if your missus is walking around with new clothes these past few days i'd prepare for the worst regarding card difficulties lol. I'll be watching the second leg tomorrow seeing as it's a freebie. I'm interested to see what this 'second division' stuff is all about. Hope the first leg isn't an away win so that it leaves the return finely balanced. Enjoy your meeting.
  6. Where are our Danes in times of need. Gee whizz it's the day of the Danish League Final they got to be around soon lol. Ok until they drop in this Google Translated from aktuellspeedway; Facts - so run Super Final Super Final run after a four team schedule. That drives numbers 1-4 from each team, They meet three other team drivers in place 1-4. In addition, all law reserves running # 5, to meet each other in three heats. After 19 heats will be run three final heats. winner gets four points, second 3 points, third place two points and fourth grade receive no points. law brings the score table you have run into During the season. If the two teams would end up on equal points after the Final, They will be separated for placement in the Super Final. Ok pretty clear it's a four team format with one rider per team and not pairings in each race. Now other sources i checked last night all indicated, as i posted earlier, that this meeting ends up with teams being awarded points on their position 4, 3, 2, 1 0. Those points are added to their league points already earned. That fits in with all the associated talk about only Esbjerg and Fjelsted being able to win the championship. In the above extract it says there will be nineteen heats followed by three more and then the next sentence may appear to couple with the previous one when mentioning the 4 points scoring making it sound as if it's talking about actual heat points. However, going on all other articles i'm 'guessing' that it is actually referring to the meeting points? Not being conversant as to the nuances of how Google Translate works with the Danish language i'm unsure as to whether the final sentence refers to a run-off in event of tied points. I've just tested the normal link and it (now) has white page saying "Technical problems - we are sorry and is back soon!" UPDATE The site is back online http://kanalsport.dk/
  7. Choice? OMG R&R have you become a speedway part-timer........man up and watch BOTH at the same time.
  8. As i understand it the winner of the meeting gets 4 points added to the league points gained so far with points for the positions descending 3, 2, 0 (i originally presumed 4th gets one point but going by a recent article it's possibly no points for last place) thereafter. This is why only Esbjerg and Fjelsted can be crowned champions. Also it's the reason why Holsted and Holstebro can only acheive a silver medal at most. The hosts Esbjerg only need to finish third to take the title or Fjelstedt not to win. Only got two hours sleep last night and it's now 2:30am with no sleeping in tomorrow so i've done my best lol. It not easy to track down regulations and comprehend Google translate whilst suffering from sleep deprivation you know lol lol. Hopefully our regular Danish correspondents will confirm or inform us otherwise regards to the above. Same goes for the final line-ups, but for now these are the provisional line-ups. Esbjerg Motorsport Niels-Kristian Iversen Mikkel Bech Jensen Leon D. Madsen Steen Jensen, Jesper Kristiansen V. Team Fjelsted Hans Andersen Rene Bach Peter Kildemand Claus Vissing Henrik Moeller Holsted Club Speedway Nicki Pedersen Patrick Hougaard Nicklas Porsing Nicolai Klindt Rasmus Jensen Holstebro Speedway Club Bjarne Pedersen Aleksandr Łoktajew Andrei Karpov Nikolai B. Jakobsen Jonas B. Andersen Incidentally, i came across current attendance averages for the teams. Not sure if these have been mentioned elsewhere. 2274 Holstebro 1640 Esbjerg 1640 Holsted 1258 Fjelsted 1115 Slangerup 993 Grindsted 910 Outrup
  9. Ok tc all i'm off to read up on the Danish final and hope to catch it tomorrow. Hope the weather system hitting Sweden tonight isn't a prolonged one covering Scandinavia in general.
  10. Dackarna stepping it up a level consecutive maximum heat wins.
  11. Could do with a Dackarna win here to make the second leg more appealing.
  12. Ouch that sounds like an unwanted adventure. Tell you what Alan you do get to see a good amount of speedway over there thanks to modern technology. UK, Polish, Swedish, Danish, Russian and the SGP and WTC. Good job as it would seem negotiations are dragging on without conclusion between Fox, CBS, ESPN, ABC et al and Sky in getting the Elite League on to American screens!
  13. Oh really ok i'll check it all out, including the starting time presuming it is live streaming as normal. At least we haven't got the delay the other semi-final have, uh oh have i just jinxed this meeting by speaking too soon.
  14. Cheers Alan and hopefully there haven't been any late team changes affecting the card. Only looking at the static tv camera shot in place right now and it looks like quite a few of the crowd never made it? Did they all watch the NFL!
  15. Glad you did as i had no idea. Don't know why but i didn't have it mentioned in my calendar. I'll check later but is it over two legs?
  16. Actually that's an excellent point and you are chronologically correct.
  17. Thanks for the update and even more thanks if you fibbing so i don't feel sad lol. I'm certainly feeling the effects of an American Football double header which went on to around 7AM UK time. Only grabbed two hours sleep and been quite busy out and about today. Didn't get to seee the Tennis but guess i'll still be hearing about if for a whole week going by media coverage so far.
  18. Hmmmm! is that a chicken and egg thing? as in maybe it should read the TV commentator is a member of the forum lol? Sorry Ghostwalker, and probably also anyone whose first language is Engish as that's a very fine play on words.
  19. Ouch belated evening all, only just arrving having well missed the 30 minute time allowance. Has the racing been any good?
  20. The Dackarna-Piraterna is on multiple C More channels and outlets with the exception of one........yep C Extreme which is carrying the Indianerna-Vetlanda meeting. As Ghostwalker mentioned and i forgot to Firefox is compatible too.
  21. Hee hee. Looks like Matt Ford has a Swedish relative with pulling a team line-up stroke like that. Despite spending time in the BSF i've not become overly paranoid or distrustful so i won't Google that and instead take it to mean thank you very much lol. Best i can do is 'Tack så mycket' for the 'Tack så mycket'.
  22. I've mentioned several times in the past all credit to barrow boy for doing something on behalf of fans. I only pointed out that with just a little more effort they could be improved and not be a meaningless blind printing out of the plus/minus points. Without additional info being shown they can't have any substance. Barrow Boy it's not a question of merely 'believing' that one system is better than the other. I have in a forum thread in the past and on the MiniMax webpage explained why the MiniMax ones 'are' very useful and more accurate over other systems. I won't bother reproducing here as the reasoning and explanation is on the MiniMax league tables page http://speedway.manc...et/leagues.html As with for example with racecards i couldn't agree more with you on the each to his or her own. Even with an awful racecard if people prefer it and download then well 100% perfectly fine and great for all concerned. Lol i for one certainly wouldn't have expected you to get upset at someone presenting valid reasons for stating that one system (MiniMax) is superior to another (plus/minus). Presumably, you'd just reply with counter arguments or not as you may wish, all cool. I would ask you though that surely you must see how inaccurate they have been all season long with Rye House just being a single example?. Anyways no problem and good for you that you make the effort.
  23. Just got home a little while ago and have put the racecard online. AVAILABLE NOW MiniMax Racecards - Swedish Play Offs Semi-Final 1st Leg, DACKARNA Vs. PIRATERNA http://speedway.manc.../racecards.html Incidentally, should anyone ever need it (in the UK???) the 'C More' tv website does work in Google Chrome. It is an ongoing Beta version which may explain why i had difficulty accessing it in IE.
