  1. Lol re the Cricket. Fisticuffs tend to add to the drama/entertainment of certain sports, however unless one is breeding Chavs most parents* would not feel comfortable letting children witness such heavy swearing in a SPORTING environment. *(Chavs who have had Chavs aside). I hope Nicki Pedersen didn't see the recent incident in NASCAR where they recently instigated leeway in a 'Let boys have at it' attitude - actually meant for the racing on track. One top echelon driver, Tony Stewart, who was well miffed at having been shunted off the track upon sighting the culprit coming down pit road took off and hurled his helmet at the car scoring a direct hit. No fines were inficted either. Got to admit it was a little dangerous as fortunately it hit the front grille of the car and not the windscreen. OK let's have a sweepstakes as to who will be the first GP rider to throw his helmet at a rider lol, or has it already been done?
  2. No mention on Premier Sports or elsewhere yet as to which semi-final is being televised. Right now i'm watching NFL in the early hours of Monday morning so i'll check back later today for the latest news of team line-ups. There are going to be changes to the published provisional listings due to injury. Dackarna are likely to be hardest hit. Tai Woffinden crashed in Poland on Sunday and is reported to have a dislocated shoulder. He's said he is not riding for Wolverhampton on Monday nor for Dackarna on Tuesday. He's aiming to be back racing in Poland next Sunday. His Dackarna teamate Andreas Jonsson has concussion and is dizzy and nauseous. His doctors have said he should rest for a week. The rider himself will not race if he doesn't feel well. He's going to decide on the day itself as to whether he takes part. He has been listed and they will run rider replacement if he doesn't appear. Vetlanda's Thomas H. Jonasson went to hospital after a crash Sunday in Poland. Hmmm a recurring theme there most weeks lol. However, they do have Hampel back in the team. Piraterna fielding the current top two in the world Holder and Hancock, very nice! I'll put online the MiniMax racecard once it's been established which match is being shown. I tried going to the C More Swedish site and clicking on the tv listings but it just resolves to a general page advertising movies with the 'sport' link not working.
  3. I think your weather forecast is great! hee hee hee. OK enough lol.
  4. Whilst the European GP's can't usually avoid clashing with other big sporting events due to there being so many, i'm a little surprised that care wasn't taken to avoid a clash in New Zealand. It certainly cuts down on prospective coverage for the SGP across the media. Maybe it is the only date available for various reasons?
  5. Other than the fact he directed an insult at the referee, i don't think the use of the word 'tosser' is a biggie. However, a prolonged two finger salute coupled with a hefty verbal '**** off' is way out of order. I totally disagree with calls for tv cameras not to be allowed to interview riders when an incident is happening or just occurred. It adds great interest to an event and broadcast. Why should we miss out on the vast majority of acceptable interviews because a rider has used offensive words?. Sort that niggle out by incurring fines and, if repeated, points deductions for bringing the sport into disrepute. Ok not a large deduction as one could receive for repeated foul riding but take away a few points. Alternatively make the fines punitive. I look forward to every interview snippet with the riders it's a much needed informative insight. It's interesting to see if a rider is angry about an incident or accepting something as 'stuff happens' and is able to imperviously move on without it affecting his performance in the races ahead. Most sportsmen can express their distaste or rage at an incident without swearing when in front of a tv camera.
  6. Hmmm! not sure how contructive a reply that is in response to the post below. Also what have 'forecasts' got to do with anything. I've already mentioned it's not predictive, it's a portrayal of how teams stand at that moment in time. In case you failed to see this post below i reproduce it as in my opinion i reckon it applies once more.
  7. Surely a monthly post that has Rye House in the top five teams for most of the year, unlike the MIniMax tables, are candidates for 'nonsense posts of the year'?. I hope that that particular system catches up soon only i notice that Rye House are now finally in the actual current league table in 12th position (which also has now caught up with the MIniMax). Not sure what you perceive as nonsense when the MiniMax tables year after year give a clear and true indication of how teams actually stand for a long time before the actual tables do , and a very long time - not far off the end of season - before other 'systems' do. All it needs is a glance and you can see where teams stand.
  8. Love this sport. Nights like these make up for freezing one's proverbials off whilst watching 30 yard drag races in nothing much more than a field open to the raging elements lol. Night all.
  9. Rare off night for Greg. Just realized i'm watching on live pause about 3 minutes behind, i not slow of mind lol. I trust everyone IS enjoying this meeting? Entertaining stuff.
  10. Big characters in Heat 18 let's hope we can talk about racing moves after it lol. Ok heat 18 over and just some great racing and racing moves? Agreed all?
  11. Think referee was right in giving second to Hampel. He might not have had the momentum but he got to the line first by a knobble of the tyre.
  12. Sam just mentioned gate two got 50% of the wins but isn't seeing that in total points Gate Two 24 Gate Three 23
  13. Jonsson's chase for the eighth place being hit hard by his absence now. A pleasure to see such great racing once more from this track they swooping and buzz bombing all over the joint.
  14. Judging by the cacophany of boos whilst they are showing the graphics i'm guessing Nicki doing a lap of honour after his race win.
  15. It's good to have NIgel Pearson without Kelvin Tatum as any other co-commentator seems to act like a speed govenor on him. Whilst in contrast when coupled with Kelvin they seem to feed off each other in an ever increasing frenzy of screaming like a supercell storm spiralling out of control when not much happens at all. Anyway, i know, enough! of the commentator talk it's been done to the death, apologies was just a passing thought. So one can only say it's great to be enjoying yet another great GP. Such a pity that the sport lost so many viewers in the awful couple or so seasons when we had mind numbing non-racing.
  16. Is that a Nicki-ism bringing the forum into disrepute? lol I agree with you he's out of place obviously.
  17. Uh Oh does the SGP have fines for 'conduct bringing the sport into disrepute', a prolonged two finger salute coupled with a hefty verbal '**** off' from NIcki there, lol was funny too although he well miffed. Lol funny from Holder he's learnt from the meeting so far 'don't go around Nicki' hee hee.
  18. Nice start to the meeting for Greg after the first race with Holder and Crump dropping points lol. Heat 3 another rival drops a point so if Greg wins his first heat you've got to give him his rightful respect as he keeps on chugging along.
  19. Evening, let's hope for another good one in an excellent GP season. Big welcome back to Jarek Hampel too.
  20. Yep indeed and it only takes a glance. Too be honest i think us fans when all racecarded up know way more than the riders going out to race as to what is at stake lol. Certainly seems so going by how often in the Elite League interviews riders have no idea of the match score. Belated thanks for the thanks too only just seen this post.
  21. You're welcome as are all and many thanks for the thanks. Talking of racecards, after the draw time was changed on the official site mid-afternoon to the late timing we now have........ Put them online so AVAILABLE as of NOW! You can directly download them from the top of the following page and either print on both sides of a single sheet or use in a match programme format over two pages. MiniMax Racecard 2012 SCANDINAVIAN Grand Prix Basic Version MiniMax Racecard 2012 SCANDINAVIAN Grand Prix
  22. Cheers for your reply but.......Define usual! it certainly does not mean 'every' time as far as the SGP draw goes lol. They've actually changed it now to 17:15 Local time on the draw page and removed the time altogether on the front page of their site. Thanks again anyway.
